Cooking?
I suddenly remembered the previous discussion about the transfer of the 6% shareholding I held.
I took a deep breath and said, "Haven't you always wanted the 6% shareholding from me?"
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone.
"Wan'er, you... you have to let me explain. This is all for the good of the company. Ya Ya is just trying to help me..."
Sun Yu's voice sounded a bit flustered.
I interrupted him.
"I agree to transfer the shareholding to Han Xue."
"But I have one condition."
"What condition?"
Sun Yu asked eagerly.
"The house belongs to me."
I stated my condition.
"This..."
Sun Yu hesitated.
This house was originally bought for ten million, and its current market value has nearly doubled.
"What, you can't bear to part with it?"
I let out a cold laugh.
"No, no, the house should rightfully belong to you."
Sun Yu quickly denied it.
"As long as you agree to transfer the shares to Ya Ya, I would give you not just one house, but ten!"
Listening to his hypocritical words made me feel a wave of nausea.
"Then it's settled."
"I'll send the Equity Transfer Agreement over to you right now."
I hung up the phone.
I needed to act quickly; I didn't want to waste any more time talking to him.
I took the Equity Transfer Agreement, which I had prepared earlier, out of the drawer and signed my name on it.
Then, I pulled out the divorce agreement and slipped it in with the Equity Transfer Agreement.
That's right, from the very beginning, I had no intention of letting him off the hook.
Half an hour later, I stood at the door of Sun Yu's office.
I knocked on the door.
"Come in."
It was Sun Yu's voice.
I pushed the door open and walked in.
Sun Yu was sitting behind his desk, and Han Xue was there as well.
She greeted me with a bright smile.
"Hey, Wan'er, you're here!"
I ignored her and walked straight up to Sun Yu.
"Here’s the Equity Transfer Agreement. Have you prepared the property transfer documents?"
I handed him the file.
Sun Yu took it without even glancing through it and signed right away.
He didn’t even notice the divorce agreement tucked inside.
Well, he was probably too preoccupied with Han Xue to care about anything else.
After signing, Sun Yu handed the agreement back to me.
"Wan'er, thank you. I've taken care of the house. You can go to Secretary Zhao to handle the rest."
He looked visibly relieved.
I took the agreement and turned to leave.
The next morning, I contacted the Real Estate Agent.
Half an hour later, the agent brought a client to view the property.
The client was very satisfied with the house, and in the afternoon, we went to the Housing Authority to complete the transfer procedures.
Everything went exceptionally smoothly.
After finishing the paperwork, I sold my remaining shares as well.
Over the years, I had worked diligently at the company and saved up some money.
With the money from selling the house and my shares, I had enough to live comfortably for the rest of my life.
Sun Yu and Han Xue, weren’t they hoping to be together?
Let them enjoy their time together.
A few days later, Sun Yu and Han Xue returned from their business trip.
Sun Yu even specially bought me a necklace, intending to give me a surprise.
Han Xue discovered the necklace and mistakenly thought it was for her.
She joyfully tried on the item, but was stopped by Sun Yu.
"This is for Wan'er," he said.
Han Xue's expression instantly darkened.
"Are you still thinking about her?" she questioned.
"Of course, she's my wife after all," Sun Yu replied matter-of-factly.
"We're already like this, and you still..." Han Xue was so angry that she couldn't find the words.
"Alright, alright, don't be mad," Sun Yu said as he wrapped his arms around Han Xue.
"Alright, I'll buy you a bigger one later."
