According to the ranking system of Ghost Messengers, a fifth-tier Ghost Messenger does not qualify to enter Yama Palace, so Xu Shen and Mao Dayou could only wait outside for the judgment to conclude.

Suddenly, the door of Yama Palace creaked open, and a rather attractive ghost girl stepped out. She glanced around before walking up to Xu Shen and giving him a slight bow.
"Lord Ghost Messenger, I am a maidservant of Yama King. Yama King summons you!"
"Alright, please lead the way!" Xu Shen replied politely and followed the maid into Yama Palace.
However, the maid led Xu Shen toward a side entrance of Yama Palace, which was known to be where Yama King rested. As they passed through a room, an unusual fragrance wafted through the air, carrying a faint scent of plum blossoms.
"Hey, you outside! Come play with me!" A girl's voice called from inside, demanding and somewhat haughty.
"The princess is making things difficult for me; Yama King wishes to see this Lord Ghost Messenger!" the maid said with some hesitation.
"Isn't it just a little Ghost Messenger? If I say come in, you should come in!" The voice from inside was even more arrogant.
"Then Lord Ghost Messenger, please go in and accompany the princess for now. I will report to Yama King!" The maid bowed slightly to Xu Shen before leaving.
What a Difficult Princess! Xu Shen pushed open the door and stepped inside. He saw a little girl lying on the bed surrounded by various books.
"Come here quickly and help me with my homework!" the Difficult Princess huffed.
"Yes, yes," Xu Shen replied, not wanting to argue with a child. He approached her and glanced at her homework.
Multiplication? This is too easy!
Xu Shen felt intrigued; if he could make this Difficult Princess happy, it would be worth his while.
"Look at this problem; how much is six times seven?"
"Six times seven..."
The Difficult Princess fiddled with her fingers, pondering for quite some time before peering at Xu Shen. "Thirty-two?"
“Pfft!”
Xu Shen quickly covered his mouth, nearly bursting into laughter at the Difficult Princess's antics. “Six times seven is thirty-two? Only you would say something like that.”
“What are you laughing at?” the Difficult Princess pouted, demanding an explanation.
“Princess, six times seven is forty-two,” Xu Shen replied calmly.
“Forty-two? Why? This princess has declared that six times seven is thirty-two, and I don’t care! Six times seven is thirty-two!”
The Difficult Princess thought hard but could not come up with any reason for six times seven to equal forty-two. Frustrated, she rolled around on the bed, throwing a tantrum.
“Nonsense! I locked you in here so you could focus on your studies!”
Suddenly, a solemn voice echoed through the room. Xu Shen turned to look and immediately knelt in respect.
“Greetings, Yama King!”
“Rise,” the elderly man with a white beard said gently, raising his hand to signal Xu Shen to get up.
“You handled the recent zombie incident very well and also solved the mystery of the Ghost Messenger’s murder. It seems appointing you as the Ghost Messenger was indeed the right decision!” Yama King nodded in approval.
“Thank you for your praise, Your Majesty. Without your guidance, I wouldn’t have achieved what I have today,” Xu Shen said humbly.
“Rewards for merit and punishments for crimes—this is the rule of The Underworld. Let me think... since you often operate in the human realm, how about I reward you with five million?”
