Outside the subway, there wasn’t a single passenger, not even a staff member in sight. Moreover, the station sign displayed the name of the station we had just departed from. We had somehow returned! 0

I stepped off the train, feeling bewildered, surrounded by an eerie silence. It was broad daylight; why was there not a soul around? Standing in the middle of the waiting area, I felt a chill run down my spine. 0

I tried to reassure myself that perhaps I was just out of practice since I hadn’t taken the subway in a while. As for missing my stop, it must have been the fault of the train operator or maybe I hadn’t been paying close enough attention. Yet, deep down, an unsettling feeling lingered. 0

I forced myself not to think about anything supernatural. In the distance, a train slowly approached, returning from its route. Should I board it or leave? I wrestled with my indecision for a long time but ultimately decided to step onto the train. I needed to figure out what was going on with this subway line! 0

This time, I would keep my eyes glued to the Train Door and see where it would stop! 0

As I entered the carriage, I found it completely empty. Fortunately, there were surveillance cameras in this car, which eased my anxiety somewhat. I took a seat in the middle of the carriage and focused intently on the Route Map above the door. 0

I was determined to see where it would stop next! The Route Map displayed numerous small Daqing Stations, but conspicuously absent was Daqingyan Station. I furrowed my brow in confusion but didn’t dwell on it too much. 0

The Little Red Dot at Yueyangmen Station flickered as the train moved, slowly making its way to the next stop. I stared intently at the Little Red Dot, waiting for it to reach my destination. However, when the Little Red Dot reached Yueyangmen, it did not proceed to the next station as I had expected; instead, it jumped straight to the sign for Mingyuan Station! 0

I widened my eyes in disbelief. I had just witnessed the red dot skip over the intermediate Daqing Station! And this time, the train suddenly came to a halt. The Train Door opened slowly, like a gaping mouth. The edges of the Train Door shimmered with silver light, as if inviting me to step inside. 0

At that moment, a train arrived on the opposite track. I glanced over and was shocked to see people inside the carriages. They were sitting there, peering in my direction. It seemed they found the emptiness of my carriage just as eerie as I did. 0

I swallowed hard and rubbed my arms nervously. No, this was too strange; I needed to go somewhere with more people! Once again, I boarded the subway at Mingyuan Station heading for Daqingyan. This time, I chose a seat right next to the Train Door, pressing my back firmly against it while keeping my eyes fixed on the Route Map displayed on the door. 0

A middle-aged man wearing a red jacket and a black hat stood beside me, also facing the Train Door. I caught a glimpse of his arm and noticed that the sleeve of his jacket bore a symbol similar to that of the train's markings. A Train Safety Officer? 0

"Step back, don't lean against the Train Door, it's dangerous," the Safety Officer said, not even glancing at the person next to him. 0

I pressed my lips together, choosing not to respond. I had intended to ask him why the train wasn't stopping, but seeing his lack of enthusiasm made me swallow my words. 0

Before long, the train picked up speed. I stood at the edge of the carriage, the wind howling in my ears, making it difficult to discern any other sounds inside. All I could faintly hear was a ping from my pocket. 0

Must be my phone ringing, I thought, as I used one hand to tame my windblown hair and the other to steady myself against the wall. 0

Soon enough, the Little Red Dot on the Route Map flickered out again, skipping several stations in between. My nerves instantly tensed. 0

"I say!" I shouted, "Did you all not notice we skipped a stop?!" 0
