One of the drunken men seemed to be experienced, educating Rao Jie. Rao Jie could only force a smile and deny the accusation, but it was quickly twisted.
"Since your girlfriend has agreed, there's no need to hold back. Let's go together! Everyone has missed you, Wu Rong!"
Wu Rong recalled his earlier thoughts and decided not to resist any longer. Thus, entangled by several drunkards, Rao Jie and Wu Rong ended up going along.
Ye Ming was quite surprised when they walked in and nudged Zhan Ruoyang, who was being fed drinks beside him. "Everyone, come and see who we caught outside!"
There were cheers from the crowd, and everyone immediately responded. It had been a long time since they had seen Wu Rong; most only knew he had returned from occasional photos in Ye Ming's social media posts.
"Wow, what a handsome guy! No wonder he was the campus heartthrob back in the day; he’s still so good-looking after all these years!"
"No, no, he’s more mature and composed now, with even more charm and charisma. Wu Rong, you’re truly the enemy of all men, hahaha."
"It seems like he hasn’t changed much aside from being more mature. What’s that saying? Time leaves no marks on his face!"
"Wait, there is a change! Look! Back then, he was completely uninterested in women; we even thought he was involved with Ye Ming. Now he has beautiful women around him."
The drunken crowd seemed to have forgotten Wu Rong's previous temperament or perhaps thought that after so many years apart, everyone had grown up. Surely Wu Rong wouldn’t still be so aloof and cold-hearted.
So they all began to joke around. Wu Rong felt like he and Rao Jie were being observed like monkeys in a zoo and instantly regretted coming.
Seeing the situation getting out of hand, Ye Ming quickly stepped in to ease the atmosphere. "Everyone, don’t tease me and Wu Rong too much; be careful or his precious girlfriend might get jealous! Let me formally introduce her—this is Rao Jie, who managed to win over our super hard-to-please classmate Wu Rong. Isn’t she youthful and beautiful? Wu Rong is definitely an old cow eating tender grass! Hahaha."
Zhan Ruoyang also chimed in, "You guys are too enthusiastic; you’re scaring Rao Jie! It’s not easy for our male classmates to find girlfriends; don’t scare her away!"
Laughter erupted again, and the atmosphere improved significantly compared to before.
Ye Ming whispered to Wu Rong, "Just show your face for a bit, introduce yourself, have a few more drinks, then find an excuse to leave. Otherwise, you won’t be able to escape; this place is full of drunks!"
Wu Rong glanced awkwardly at Rao Jie, but she was already being warmly welcomed by other female classmates. He knew that leaving now would definitely create an awkward atmosphere and ruin their date for the night. So Wu Rong held back his discomfort and sat down with Rao Jie.
Immediately, people around them started pouring drinks and chatting away.
Wu Rong showed no mercy, but was somewhat considerate towards Rao Jie, after all, it was their first meeting, and seeing how young she looked, it wouldn’t be appropriate to pressure her into drinking. So, like the other female classmates, they just had some red wine.

Wu Rong was too lazy to answer such questions, and Rao Jie felt even more embarrassed to respond.
Ye Ming stepped in as a mediator. “I know the whole story; I even played matchmaker! It was Wu Rong who took a liking to Rao Jie and pursued her aggressively, which is how he won her heart.”
“What? Wu Rong took the initiative?” A few female classmates looked at Rao Jie with skepticism, while the male classmates found it even harder to believe.
