Under the strong beam of the headlamp, he finally saw clearly that the white figure did not lack a head; rather, it had buried its entire head inside the black tent of the Wuchang Ghost. At first glance, it appeared headless.
As the light from Scar Monkey illuminated the "thing," it slowly poked its head out from the Wuchang Ghost's tent, turned toward them, and unexpectedly grinned at Scar Monkey with a sinister smile, revealing a blood-red tongue and stark white teeth!
The moonlight intertwined with the light from the headlamp, casting a glow on that face.
Once he saw it clearly, Scar Monkey's nerves relaxed all at once!
It turned out that the "thing" sitting quietly in front of the Wuchang Ghost's tent in the middle of the night was none other than Wuchang Ghost himself.
Scar Monkey was furious after being startled by his teammates twice in a row, and this time he was even more irate.
He tossed the headlamp back into the tent and crawled out, shouting at Wuchang Ghost, "What are you doing playing tricks in the middle of the night? Is this amusing?"

Just as Scar Monkey crawled out of the tent to smoke, Wuchang Ghost stood up and slowly left the tent, moving faster along the riverbank. In the blink of an eye, he disappeared into the dense forest!

The black tent of Wuchang Ghost was opened from the inside, revealing a face devoid of expression, marked by deep sorrow and resentment. He was still wearing black clothes, his gaze indifferent and cold.
It was clear that he had been sleeping soundly inside the tent and had only just woken up.
This person was indeed Wuchang Ghost, who had traveled with them yesterday! Scar Monkey's hand trembled, causing a long ash from his cigarette to fall to the ground.
If this was Wuchang Ghost, then who was the white-clad figure that had just vanished?
Was he dreaming, or had he truly seen a ghost? The legend of Heibai Wuchang flashed through his mind as he looked at Wuchang Ghost's indifferent face, sending a chill creeping up his spine...
What on earth was going on?
Unfortunately, when Scar Monkey recounted what had just happened, no one believed him. They were not interested in listening to ghost stories at such an hour.
"Alright, Monkey, you just have your eyes closed from sleepiness. Go back and get a good rest."
In the end, Scar Monkey returned to his sleeping bag, but...
That night was sleepless. In the stillness of the night, the incessant chirping of cicadas seemed to nourish some terrifying creature hidden in the darkness.
Scar Monkey curled up in his sleeping bag, his eyes wide open, enduring until dawn.
If someone were to see him in that state at that moment, they would surely be startled!
