Expressionless, Wuchang Ghost extended his right hand and accepted the band-aid. 0

Although Scar Monkey had mentally prepared himself, when he saw the palm of Wuchang Ghost's hand, a chill ran down his spine! 0

Just that morning, he had seen a Cinnabar birthmark in the center of Wuchang Ghost's right palm. 0

But now, that palm was smooth and clean; there wasn't even a tiny black dot! 0

The skin was flat and smooth, showing no scars whatsoever—there were no signs of any cuts! 0

This person was definitely not their teammate, Wuchang Ghost! 0

Despite having Wuchang Ghost's grim, knife-like face, dressed in black clothes and pants, with a freshly shaved head and stubble, he was not Wuchang Ghost! 0

Because he lacked that birthmark! 0

In the afternoon, Wuchang Ghost had knocked them out and then disappeared into the dense forest with a knife. When he emerged, he had transformed into another "person," if he could still be considered "human." 0

This situation was far too bizarre and strange, as if it were a fabricated plot. 0

Yet the facts lay before Scar Monkey, leaving no room for disbelief! 0

He slowly placed the band-aid into the palm of that mark-free right hand before turning to leave. His legs felt weak, as if he might collapse at any moment, but he forced himself to pull out his phone. 0

Throughout the night journey, Scar Monkey kept a close eye on Wuchang Ghost's silhouette while also monitoring the phone signal intently. 0

Finally, as they passed a village, the phone displayed a faint signal. He eagerly sent out a pre-written text message! 0

The message contained the location where they would emerge from the mountains the next day, hoping that several police cars would be waiting for them there. 0

The recipient of the message was his good friend Ma Yun, who worked at the police station. 0

He believed his friend would take him seriously because, although he often joked around, he never made jokes about such matters. 0

A week later. 0

The sky was overcast, and a storm was imminent. 0

Ming Ming Liang walked into the reception room of the Yicheng University district detention center and was surprised to find that all the members of the Chi Yun Mountain expedition had already arrived. 0

Not all members were present, though; Feng Wuhen, Miao Lang, Xiao Huihui, Scar Monkey, and she herself were there, but Wuchang Ghost was notably absent. 0

On the day they emerged from the mountains, the waiting police quickly surrounded their small team and took away the bewildered Wuchang Ghost. 0

Just as Feng Wuhen was about to step forward to question what was happening, Scar Monkey pulled him back. 0

They had never seen Scar Monkey with such a serious expression. The fresh scab on the left side of his face looked particularly menacing at that moment. 0

Scar Monkey said, "Let's head back for now. In a week, I will give you a reasonable explanation." 0

With deep confusion, everyone returned to their corners of the city, washed off the dust of their travels, and went through a week of ordinary life. 0

Until yesterday, when they received a group message from Scar Monkey, informing them of the time and place, along with a line that read, "If you want to know the truth, come." 0

Thunder rumbled faintly in the distance, dark clouds pressed against the windows, and the sky grew increasingly gloomy. 0

Scar Monkey glanced at the four "Travelers" sitting across from him. Suddenly, he smiled, breaking the eerie silence. "Finally, I can proudly call myself Scar Monkey." 0

Indeed, there was a brand new scar on his left cheekbone, contrasting with the "ball scar" on the right side of his face. The originally handsome features now bore an added fierceness. 0

Ming Ming Liang hesitated for a moment before asking, "You told me this scar was from when you accidentally scraped it while resting outside the forest. How did it turn into a knife scar?" 0

Scar Monkey snorted and replied, "Hmph! If I hadn't endured the pain to keep this scar, I'm afraid you all would have a scar as big as a bowl on your necks." 0

The others exchanged glances, understanding Scar Monkey's implication—heads would roll. 0
