An Siyang let out a soft "hm," drew his sword, and with a surge of energy, pried open the coffin nails. Inspector Lin and the others quickly stepped forward to help push the coffin lid aside. 0

Although An Siyang had mentally prepared himself after hearing Li Zimu's earlier dialogue, seeing He Xinluo blushing and leaning against Li Zimu's chest ignited an inexplicable jealousy within him. A flicker of displeasure crossed his eyes as he fixed his gaze on the two. 0

"It seems I arrived at an inopportune moment!" He first released He Xinluo from her paralysis before gently lifting her out of the coffin, being careful in his movements. He then turned to fetch a teacup and poured her a glass of water, deliberately ignoring Li Zimu, who was still lying in the coffin with his eyes wide open, waiting to be rescued. His attitude clearly reflected a hint of sulking and dissatisfaction. 0

Inspector Lin noticed the undercurrents between them and stifled a laugh as he called for help to pull Li Zimu out of the coffin. Unfortunately, they were unable to release his paralysis, leaving Li Zimu standing there like a tree stump, his face flushed with anger as he glared at An Siyang. "Boss An, if you have the ability, then don't release my paralysis!" His voice was filled with rage and resentment. 0

"How could I dare! Your Highness is both brave and wise, charming Xinluo into accompanying you to investigate a case, yet remaining calm and composed while sweet-talking her in such perilous circumstances. I admire Your Highness greatly and merely wish to behold your heroic demeanor at this moment!" An Siyang retorted without looking up, his words dripping with sarcasm and disdain, each one like a sharp blade. 0

He Xinluo's face instantly flushed with embarrassment as she tugged at An Siyang's hand. "What are you saying? Hurry up and release His Highness's paralysis!" Her tone was urgent and helpless as she tried to mediate between the two. 0

"Hmph!" An Siyang snorted coldly but still stepped forward to release Li Zimu's paralysis. However, he heard Li Zimu whispering just loud enough for only the two of them to hear, "You seem quite angry; it appears you still harbor some fear of me! What’s wrong? Are you scared?" His gaze was provocative, deliberately goading An Siyang. 0

"You..." An Siyang clenched his fist tightly, nearly lunging at him to leave a mark on his face. His body trembled slightly with anger, his eyes ablaze. 0

Seeing that things were escalating poorly, He Xinluo quickly changed the subject, calling out loudly, "Brother Si Yang, where are Aunt Li and the others? Why didn’t they come back with you?" She attempted to diffuse the tension in the air. 0

"Aunt Li reported Elder Zhang for stealing the ceremonial items from Li Da Tou’s coffin. Elder Zhang accused Aunt Li of having ulterior motives and framing her. Naturally, until the case is resolved, they were locked up!" He added with a glare directed at Li Zimu as if he wished to kill him. "I wonder how Your Highness is faring with the investigation into the corpse fraud case?" 0

Before An Siyang and He Xinluo's group could reach the county office, they heard that something had happened in the county jail. When they arrived at the prison, Aunt Li and Elder Zhang were already inside; their faces bore various injuries—some had blood trickling from their lips while others had bruises on their faces. The scene was chaotic. 0

"What on earth happened?" An Siyang demanded in a deep voice that commanded authority, immediately silencing everyone in the noisy jail. His voice echoed like thunder within the cell. 0

The Jailor explained with a mournful expression, "Boss An, you’re finally back! Ever since these people were locked up, they haven’t stopped talking, and it’s been so loud that my eardrums hurt! Eventually, they even started fighting. You see, we only have five cells in total, and according to your instructions, the Che Xi Girl was placed in the innermost cell. This morning when you sent over these dozen or so people, they had to squeeze into the other four cells. With so many people, the chatter just kept escalating, and before we knew it, they were brawling." 0

He shook his head helplessly as he spoke. 0

"So, what happened to their injuries?" 0

"Isn’t it almost noon? I had someone bring them food, but who would have thought they were arguing fiercely? They grabbed the plates and bowls and started smashing them at each other. Two of the guys even got cut on the face by the shards while trying to help out; they just got sent for treatment!" The Jailor's face was filled with grievance and helplessness. 0

After a moment of contemplation, An Siyang suddenly rushed into the innermost cell. Li Zimu and He Xinluo exchanged glances and quickly understood what was happening. They discovered that inside Che Xi's cell lay a guard who had been knocked unconscious, clad only in a thin shirt. The guard's face was pale, and he was in a deep coma with a noticeable lump on his forehead. 0

"Hey? Isn’t this Lao Chen? Didn’t he go to treat his injuries?" The Jailor exclaimed instinctively upon seeing the person lying on the ground. His eyes were filled with surprise and confusion. 0

"Damn it!" An Siyang angrily slammed his fist against the cell door. His hand was clenched tightly in rage, knuckles turning white. 0

He Xinluo quickly stepped forward to grab his hand. "Brother Si Yang, don’t do this! If she escaped, we can find a way to catch her again!" She tried to comfort An Siyang and urged him to calm down. 0

Li Zimu nodded in agreement. "We’ve seen the Shape-Shifting Silver Wolf’s methods before. Remember how he killed Shen Lianrong without hesitation?" There was a hint of nostalgia and helplessness in his tone. 0

Upon hearing that an inmate had escaped, the Jailor's face turned pale with fear. "I... I clearly saw Lao Chen and Old Li go out; how could Lao Chen end up locked in here?" His voice trembled with panic. 0

"Forget it; it’s not your fault. The Shape-Shifting Silver Wolf is extremely skilled at disguise; he must have transformed into a guard early on to sneak in here and then took advantage of the chaos to switch Che Xi Girl’s appearance with Lao Chen’s to get her out," Li Zimu said as he patted the Jailor's shoulder. "Just be more careful next time!" His tone carried a sense of understanding and forgiveness. 0
