Xuan Qing smirked with his hands behind his back, "I have many ways to punish a disobedient egg—boil, fry, sauté, or stew. You can choose any one." 0

Since it was all about being eaten anyway, the egg preferred to select its own method of punishment. It hopped onto Xuan Qing's shoulder and gently rubbed its face against him. Habitually, Xuan Qing patted it, but without hesitation, the egg jumped into a wine jar to soak, waiting to get drunk. 0

"......" 0

The egg floated to the surface of the "wine," puzzled by Xuan Qing's twitching expression. It had obediently accepted its punishment, so why wasn't Xuan Qing happy? Should it comfort him? 0

Reluctant to leave Celestial Brew, the egg was even more concerned about Xuan Qing's expression. It flew out of the wine jar and looked around before diving onto Xuan Qing's head, tumbling and spinning in delight. 0

Xuan Qing was defeated by its antics and helplessly held his forehead. 0

With a precious egg at home, words failed him. 0

The ancestor of the monkeys on Monkey Mountain was a transcended Snow Spirit Monkey. Upon learning that someone had stolen Monkey Wine, it had long planned to teach that person a lesson. Unexpectedly, not only did the monkeys fail to catch the thief, but they also ended up exposing their own secrets. 0

When the monkeys saw their ancestor, they immediately burst into tears and shared the story of the unknown Rogue Immortal who had stolen the wine, along with how that egg had rewarded each of them with a bump on their heads. 0

The Snow Spirit Monkey was furious. "Which Rogue Immortal from the Immortal Dao dares to steal from my Snow Spirit Monkey's celestial mountain? Quickly tell me what that Rogue Immortal looked like and from which direction he came so I can find him and teach him a severe lesson!" 0

The monkeys rejoiced and danced around, chattering excitedly as they described the Rogue Immortal's appearance and pointed towards the direction he had flown in to steal the wine. 0

The Snow Spirit Monkey picked up its Iron Hammer and set off in search of the thieving Rogue Immortal. 0

Having long given up on sobriety, Xuan Qing and the egg each held a cup of Celestial Brew when suddenly, Xuan Qing's right eyelid twitched. 0

He calculated with his fingers but could only discern that today would bring disaster—whether great or small remained uncertain. 0

"Tsk tsk, it seems I have sown this karma myself. I’ll just wait for calamity to descend upon me." 0

Xuan Qing paid no mind to what he had just calculated. He raised his cup, but the egg immediately pushed its empty cup towards him, demanding more wine. 0

Xuan Qing shook his wine flask; it was empty. What remained in his hand was the last cup of wine. 0

The pink-shelled egg nudged at its empty cup. 0

Xuan Qing deliberately hid his cup behind his sleeve and waved his hand dismissively. "You've already had your share; this cup is mine." 0

The egg continued to nudge its empty cup with a pitiful look. 0

"We agreed on half each; if you want more, you can wait until tomorrow." Xuan Qing stifled a laugh, making it clear there was no room for negotiation. 0

Wine, wine, wine, come flying over, quickly come flying over... The egg, unable to get any wine, weakly called out with its meager magical power for the drink to come to its side. 0

A stream of liquid soared into the air, and the egg pushed an empty cup to catch the falling wine. Xuan Qing flicked his sleeve, brushing it aside, while his own cup caught the wine as it fell, feeling quite pleased as he tapped the egg that had failed to grab any. 0

The egg jumped up in protest, only to be flicked back to its original spot by Xuan Qing's finger. 0

"Alright, I won't tease you anymore. If I really make you angry, I'll be the one in trouble. Here, let me share half with you." 0

As soon as he finished speaking, the egg hurriedly jumped over, pushing the empty cup forward, eagerly waiting for Xuan Qing to pour half of the wine for it. 0

Xuan Qing, Xuan Qing... The egg joyfully hopped around, and the sound of pouring seemed to become extraordinarily melodious because of it. 0

Being with this egg made Xuan Qing unknowingly rediscover emotions he had almost forgotten as a mortal. 0

How many years had it been since he entered the path? He could hardly remember. When he had memories, he was just an orphan relying on his identity as a Taoist priest to make a living. After achieving some small success, he traveled all over the land, leaving behind fewer and fewer people and things in his memory. 0

The long life now felt lonely. 0

Sigh. 0

Xuan Qing patted his forehead, feeling unusually contemplative about his life due to the influence of an egg. Truly, he had become muddled in his cultivation. 0
