Lu Tianyang was nonchalant, a hint of pride in his demeanor. "They say that men who fear their wives can prosper. My dear wife, you are my lucky star." 0

Ye Ya didn't want to continue this topic. Instead, she picked up Chen Chen again. Although there were many people to help take care of the child here, she still wasn't used to having her baby away from her side. 0

The baby was much stronger now than when he was first born, making him easier to hold. In the beginning, Lu Tianyang had been afraid of being too rough while holding that tiny little person, worried he wouldn't be able to hold him properly. 0

Watching them play so happily, Ye Ya opened her laptop. She had been taking some time lately to formulate the new strategies for Moya Fashion Store's next season. She believed that in the near future, they would have a second branch. 0

While Lu Tianyang was playing with the baby, he noticed Ye Ya sitting seriously at her computer. He felt displeased. "Wife, how can you just leave me and the baby while you sit there on the computer?" 0

"I'm giving you a chance to play with Chen Chen. Besides, if you end up without a job, I can still support you," Ye Ya replied without looking up, lost in thought about some details. 0

Hearing her words, Lu Tianyang sighed. He would need this woman to support him? Looking at Chen Chen, he helplessly said, "Chen Chen, don't worry. Daddy will work hard to earn money and won't let you and Mommy suffer." 0

In truth, Ye Ya was just joking. It was just that without a job, she felt insecure. No matter how capable Lu Tianyang was, he wasn't her; that was an entirely different concept. Everyone needed to realize their own value in life, didn't they? 0

After putting the baby to sleep, Lu Tianyang felt dissatisfied. He walked over and shut Ye Ya's laptop. "Wife, you need to consider my feelings too." 0

"Lu Tianyang, don't be so unreasonable! Why did you close my computer?" Could he not be so domineering? 0

"Staring at the screen for too long is bad for your eyes. Besides, earning money is something men should do better." 0

"You don't respect me," Ye Ya said angrily. If they ended up together in the future, would he always be this overbearing? She knew he had lived a life of comfort since childhood, unlike her upbringing in the Ye Family where she had to tread carefully to avoid offending anyone. 0

"I don't! Xiao Ya, look at those dark circles under your eyes; you're exhausted from taking care of the baby. So just listen and go to bed early." This woman always twisted his words; he was only thinking of her well-being. 0

"You just don't respect me! Lu Tianyang, if we get married in the future, am I supposed to obey everything you say? Let me tell you now—I can't do that." Ye Ya thought that if marriage were on the horizon, she needed to secure her rights beforehand; otherwise, would she have any good days left with this man constantly pressing down on her? 0

"Wife, let's talk reasonably here. How am I disrespecting you? I care for you more than anything; you're always bullying me." As he spoke, Lu Tianyang swept her off her feet. 0

"I want my own career; you must not stop me. Also, I'm going to draft an agreement tomorrow that you must agree to; otherwise, don’t even think about touching me." 0

Lu Tianyang placed her on the bed and raised an eyebrow. "Wife, stop with the useless talk. From now on, you belong to me entirely, and of course, I belong to you." They were married, and no matter what agreements were made, they meant nothing to him. 0

"Does that mean you're not agreeing?" Ye Ya propped her head up with her hand, looking at Lu Tianyang. If she didn't fight for her rights now, she probably wouldn't have another chance in the future. 0

He helplessly and affectionately tapped her nose, chuckling, "Alright, no matter what unequal terms you want me to sign, I’ll agree. Come on, tell me—where else can you find such a good husband?" 0

As he spoke, he tugged at the blanket; it was time for sleep, and he didn't want to waste it. 0

"Lu Tianyang, you said it yourself. Hey, where's your hand going?" Ye Ya exclaimed as she realized this man's hands were getting out of line. 0

Lu Tianyang hummed in response. "Wife, I'm starting to get jealous of Chen Chen." 0

"Lu Tianyang, are you going to let go or not? Didn't you promise me?" Ye Ya cursed herself for being a black belt in Taekwondo, yet this rascal had a way of rendering her powerless. "Lu Tianyang, you're shameless." 0

He chuckled helplessly and held her tighter. "I have plenty of shameless moments." 0

"Disgraceful." Ye Ya shifted slightly to find a more comfortable position while being tightly embraced by him. 0

Lu Tianyang thought this was actually a punishment for him. He knew this woman was his, yet he could only hold her like this without being able to indulge further. For a man full of vigor, wasn't this a punishment? 0

The next day, after Lu Tianyang left for work, Ye Ya tidied up her clothes. Guo Ma came up to inform her that Madam had arrived. "Lady, if Madam says anything unpleasant later, don't take it to heart and don't argue back, alright?" 0

Ye Ya nodded at Guo Ma's advice; she would have to face this sooner or later. After a bit of grooming, she headed downstairs. 0

Before she even reached the room, she could feel Du Huiru's anger radiating from within. She still brought over a cup of tea. "Madam, please have some tea." 0

"I'll tell you this: don’t think I will acknowledge you. No matter what you do, you will never enter the Lu Family's door." 0

Ye Ya was at a loss for words at Du Huiru's bluntness. "Madam, I know I'm not your favorite person, but Lu Tianyang and I are serious about each other. Chen Chen is our child; we want to give him a complete family. Is that wrong?" 0

"You’re not wrong; you’ve just embarrassed the Lu Family. We can’t even face our relatives now—how is that not your fault?" Du Huiru suppressed her anger and reminded herself that she wasn't here to argue but to resolve the issue. 0

“Ye Ya, here is five million. Don’t push your luck. Take this money and leave with your child,” Du Huiru said, trying to remain calm. Offering five million to dismiss a woman was already beyond her limits. 0

“I’m sorry, Mrs. Lu, but no matter how much you offer, I won’t leave here,” Ye Ya replied firmly. The reckless determination of Lu Tianyang made her see a future. The man who boldly declared his intention to marry her in front of the media was someone she believed was worth her perseverance. 0

Hearing this, Du Huiru was furious, her palm raised as she slapped Ye Ya hard across the face, leaving it red and swollen. 0

It wasn’t that Ye Ya couldn’t avoid it; she felt that the slap was deserved. They had indeed disregarded the Lu family’s reputation in this matter, and letting Du Huiru vent her frustration was perhaps for the best. So, she braced herself and accepted the blow. 0

“I’ll tell you this: I will never acknowledge you in this lifetime,” Du Huiru said angrily before storming off in her high heels. The servants dared not breathe a word; they had all witnessed the Madam’s temper and feared that even if Lady Ye gave birth and married the young master, her life would not be easy. 0

Guo Ma handed the child over to the Postpartum Doula and approached with an ice pack wrapped in a towel. “Lady, you’ve been wronged. This ice pack will help reduce the swelling.” 0

Ye Ya accepted it and nodded. “Thank you, Guo Ma. By the way, don’t let Lu Tianyang know about today’s incident.” 0

“Why not?” Guo Ma instinctively asked. Shouldn’t the young master be informed? 0

“Don’t complicate matters further. If Mrs. Lu doesn’t get to vent her anger, this issue will never end,” Ye Ya replied as she held the towel to her face while heading upstairs. Guo Ma stood there watching her, sighing inwardly at how such a kind girl was denied even a little opportunity by the Madam. 0

At the Lu family’s company, Lu Jianming arrived to find Lu Tianyang already anticipating his visit. He had prepared a cup of West Lake Longjing tea, Lu Jianming's favorite. “Dad, don’t wear that long face; this is your favorite tea. Have a sip to soothe yourself.” 0

Lu Jianming snorted coldly before saying, “I came today to ask you if you’ve really decided to marry that woman without any room for discussion.” 0

Lu Tianyang straightened his back and nodded seriously. “Yes, I have decided to be with Ye Ya, and I believe everyone in town knows about it now. So, Dad, I’m serious.” He wanted them all to understand that he was committed to this decision regardless of their opinions about Ye Ya. 0

“Lu Tianyang, do you even know what you’re doing? Why would you want to marry a woman with such a tarnished reputation? Have you lost your mind or been bewitched by her?” Lu Jianming couldn’t fathom how his usually astute son could be so foolish. 0

“Dad, I know exactly what I’m doing. She isn’t trash; she is my woman and deserves my protection for life.” 0

Listening to his son’s words made Lu Jianming fear for his heart health again as he gulped down his tea in one go. 0

“I’ll tell you this: if you decide to marry her, I will sever our father-son relationship, and don’t expect to receive even a fraction of the Lu family shares,” Lu Jianming said furiously, nearly steaming with rage. 0

"I can give up my shares in the company, but I still want to marry her. Why are you all so stubborn? Have you even tried to understand Ye Ya? She is not what you think." Lu Tianyang had made up his mind; he had to marry Ye Ya. 0

"Fine, if that's the case, get out. Don't come back," Lu Jianming said, grabbing an ashtray nearby and throwing it at him. Lu Tianyang dodged it nimbly. 0

"Dad, there's no need to be so angry. I'll leave, but I've already handed everything over to Zuo Kai. If you have any questions, just ask him." 0

"You ungrateful son, get out!" Lu Jianming shouted as he took out some medication and popped a pill into his mouth. 0

"Alright, I'm leaving. Please don't be upset, Dad." Lu Tianyang was worried that if he stayed any longer, it might trigger his father's heart condition again. As he walked out of the office, he signaled for his secretary to come in. 0

Lu Tianyang headed to Zuo Kai's office. "I'm leaving the company in your hands for a while. Keep an eye on my dad; he's not in good health." 0

"President, do we really have to do it this way?" Zuo Kai was puzzled; this situation offered him no benefits at all. 0

"Enough. I've already made my decision," Lu Tianyang said as he patted Zuo Kai on the shoulder. Zuo Kai was his trusted aide; he understood that his father was just angry and wouldn't truly sever their father-son relationship. Even if his father agreed, his grandfather would never allow it. It was time to pay a visit to his grandfather. 0

A sly smile crept onto Lu Tianyang's face as he drove back to the Lu Family in his flashy Ferrari. 0
