Xiao Lin walked into the room and immediately noticed the clothes scattered on the floor. He approached and saw Ye Ya lying on the bed, and without hesitation, he threw a punch.
Long Shaotang, as a gang leader, was no slouch in combat. The two began to fight in the room, but soon Long Shaotang found himself outmatched by Xiao Lin, who quickly subdued him and pounded him into the ground.
Xiao Lin walked over, pulled back the covers, and discovered that Ye Ya was almost completely undressed. He grabbed a towel nearby to wrap her up and took off his jacket to cover her.
At that moment, Lu Tianyang arrived at the hotel. As soon as he entered, he saw Long Shaotang lying on the floor, his face beaten to a pulp. When he spotted Ye Ya lying motionless on the bed, he was filled with alarm. "What happened? Honey, are you okay?"
He rushed over to check on her and noticed that Ye Ya's clothes had been removed. In a flash of anger, he turned around and swung a punch at Xiao Lin. Xiao Lin did not dodge; at that moment, Lu Tianyang felt justified in his actions—he had failed to protect Ye Ya.
Seeing the torn clothes scattered on the floor ignited a fury within Lu Tianyang, making him feel like an enraged lion losing control. After delivering a severe beating to Xiao Lin, he then dragged Long Shaotang off the ground and pummeled him again. Having already been beaten by Xiao Lin, Long Shaotang now faced an even more ferocious Lu Tianyang. Watching Lu Tianyang's relentless assault made Xiao Lin fear for his life. "Stop! You’ll kill him!"
Lu Tianyang retracted his fist and glared at them both. "Long Shaotang, Xiao Lin, from today onward, I will not rest until I make you pay! Just wait—you’re both going down!"
Xiao Lin glanced at the bed and then back at Long Shaotang before dragging him out of the room. "Long Shaotang, get ready for prison."
In the aftermath of the chaos in the room, Lu Tianyang tossed aside the clothes covering Ye Ya and gently lifted her up. "Honey, wake up! Honey!"
He checked her over; thankfully, there were no visible marks on her body, but he still worried about what those two brutes might have done to her.
Tears welled in Ye Ya's eyes as she faintly heard Lu Tianyang's voice. Was it really him?
"Honey, please wake up!" What on earth had happened? Damn it! I want to kill both of them!
Ye Ya opened her eyes but could barely muster any strength. "Lu Tianyang," she cried out, her heart breaking even more. She felt ashamed to face him again after what had happened; that bastard Long Shaotang was inhuman.
"Honey, it's okay now. I'm here." If he had known that such a situation would arise tonight, he would have disregarded any important clients—none were more important than her.
"I'm so sorry, Lu Tianyang. Let's get a divorce; I don't deserve you." At that moment, she was in a daze, feeling the presence of that bastard, Long Shaotang.
"I've skinned him alive; it's fine now. Don't cry." Lu Tianyang had just carefully checked her over. That bastard Long Shaotang hadn't laid a hand on her yet, but since he dared to strip Ye Ya of her clothes, he would pay dearly for it.
"I don't deserve to be your wife anymore. Just don't fight with Chen Chen," Ye Ya thought she might die from despair; she couldn't believe this was happening to her.
"It's okay, my wife. I've checked; he didn't touch you. Don't say such foolish things. I won't divorce you," Lu Tianyang said, gently stroking her hair, which was damp from tears.
Ye Ya paused for a moment. "Really? Are you sure he didn't?" She couldn't believe that Long Shaotang hadn't harmed her.
"Yes, it's fine. Don't be afraid." Lu Tianyang held her close, already wishing for Long Shaotang to suffer a thousand deaths.
Ye Ya let out a small sigh of relief. Aside from feeling weak all over, nothing seemed wrong. That Long Shaotang would have a hard time if she died.
"Lu Tianyang, I don't have any clothes. I don't want to stay here anymore; I want to go home." Ye Ya felt a deep sense of fear about this place.
"Okay, I've already asked Zuo Kai to bring some clothes over right away." For Lu Tianyang, this situation was a great humiliation. He had initially planned to teach her a lesson and make sure she kept her distance from both of them in the future. But seeing her like this, he decided to hold off and educate her at home instead.
Zuo Kai arrived quickly. When he saw the president open the door with an angry expression, it looked as if he owed him billions and hadn't paid up. "President, what's going on?"
"Get lost!" Lu Tianyang slammed the door shut. Zuo Kai rubbed his nose and hurried away; he didn't want to provoke him during such a stormy time.
Lu Tianyang picked up Ye Ya and helped her change into some clothes. She was completely drained and leaned against him for support.
"Wife, do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?" He wondered what that bastard Long Shaotang had given her; otherwise, she wouldn't be in such a state.
“Nothing, I just feel weak all over, like my bones have turned to jelly,” Ye Ya thought to herself. Otherwise, that bastard Long Shaotang wouldn’t have dared to lay a finger on her.
“It’s okay, I’ll take you home,” Lu Tianyang said as he picked her up effortlessly and strode out of the place. Ye Ya buried her head in his chest, too embarrassed to face anyone.
The elevator took them down to the underground parking lot, where Lu Tianyang placed her in the car and fastened her seatbelt. Once they were home, he called the family doctor to check on her. The doctor confirmed that she had only been given a mild sedative and would be fine once it wore off. Lu Tianyang couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.
After they returned home, Lu Tianyang helped Ye Ya take a bath. She was surprisingly clean, but if Long Shaotang had truly touched her, he would have made sure to take his head off. This time, he wouldn’t hold back; how dare anyone even think about laying hands on his woman? He would gouge out their eyes for even looking at her.
Exhausted, Ye Ya fell asleep almost immediately. With the effects of the drug still lingering, Lu Tianyang found it hard to swallow his anger. He made several phone calls; Long Shaotang shouldn’t think that just because he was the top dog of Ning Cheng’s underworld, he was untouchable.
Meanwhile, Xiao Lin had brought Long Shaotang back. After being beaten up by two men, Long Shaotang was now lying in a hospital bed, fighting for his life.
Xiao Lin waited outside, lighting a cigarette. How dare Long Shaotang do something like that to Ye Ya? Not only could Lu Tianyang not tolerate it, but neither could he. There was no way he would let him off easy; if Long Shaotang wanted to die, it wouldn’t be that simple.
The next day, Ye Ya woke up to find that Lu Tianyang had already left. She asked Guo Ma about him and learned that he had gone out early in the morning. Furrowing her brows with worry, she quickly dialed Lu Tianyang’s number. After a while, he finally picked up.
“Hubby, where did you go so early?”
“Wifey, I’m handling some matters. Don’t worry; just rest at home. Amy will help you with everything. I’ll be back as soon as I can,” Lu Tianyang replied as he rushed toward the hospital. He needed to see Long Shaotang; it was unacceptable not to confront him face-to-face.
“Don’t do anything reckless; I don’t want you getting hurt,” Ye Ya guessed what he might be planning.
“I know; don’t worry. I’ve already asked Guo Ma to prepare some nourishing soup for you. Make sure you drink it. I’ll come back to keep you company once I’m done,” Lu Tianyang reassured her before hanging up.
At the hospital, Long Shaotang’s head was completely wrapped in bandages when Xiao Lin saw Lu Tianyang arrive. “You’re here,” he said.
Lu Tianyang glared at Xiao Lin, his expression far from friendly. "Xiao Lin, I warn you, stay away from my wife from now on." He had no intention of letting Ye Ya attend any more of those damned gatherings; they had almost gotten into trouble.
"I'm very sorry," Xiao Lin replied, not offering an explanation. If he had personally taken Ye Ya home, none of this would have happened.
Long Shaotang watched the two men, never having experienced such a beating before. Ultimately, he held back; he simply couldn't ignore the despair in Ye Ya's eyes and the tears streaming down her face.
"Long Shaotang, I've warned you before—Ye Ya is not someone you can touch. As for your freedom, I believe Xiao Lin will help you out. Regarding your business, I'll take over that for you, so you don't need to worry about it," Lu Tianyang said, looking at him with a smirk that was particularly sinister.
He raised an eyebrow. "Oh, by the way, I heard you have a sister who’s quite beautiful. I bet she could fetch a good price."
"If you dare to touch her, Lu Tianyang, come at me instead. Besides, I haven't done anything to Ye Ya," Long Shaotang exclaimed, unable to suppress a cough in his agitation.
"You dare to strip my wife's clothes? Just one sister won't be enough to quench my anger," Lu Tianyang retorted angrily, gripping Long Shaotang's neck. Xiao Lin stood by, watching as Long Shaotang's face turned red. "Lu Tianyang, let him go; killing him would be too easy."
If he got his hands on Long Shaotang, then it would be worth it. Long Shaotang even began to regret not caring when she cried.
Lu Tianyang released his grip and patted Long Shaotang's face. "Long Shaotang, I've said it before: we are irreconcilable enemies. Enjoy your time here."
Long Shaotang had been brought into this place by Xiao Lin, completely cut off from the outside world. Meanwhile, Lu Tianyang had begun aggressively acquiring businesses within Longmen. He spread many negative rumors about Longmen while they couldn't reach Long Shaotang, causing further chaos within the organization.
The second young master of the Long Family was frantic as he couldn't contact his older brother; they were all in a panic. Longmen's affairs had always been handled by Long Shaotang; he was just a playboy enjoying life.
"Lu Tianyang, if you lay a finger on my sister, once I get out of here, I will make sure you pay," Long Shaotang warned. He had a younger sister whom he protected fiercely; it infuriated him that this bastard had found out about her.
"Let’s see what happens when you get out. By then, she'll be sold off to South Africa—available for anyone who wants her. Your precious sister hasn’t even had a boyfriend yet; the price will surely be higher since she’s a prestigious university student," Lu Tianyang said with a mocking expression that made Long Shaotang seethe with rage. Lu Tianyang felt quite pleased with himself as he watched the turmoil unfold.
“Are you still a man?” Long Shaotang ripped off the tubes attached to him and attempted to get up, but was stopped by Xiao Lin.
“Xiao Lin, you better think this through. You’re the witness here, I’m leaving first.”
Lu Tianyang, annoyed by Long Shaotang’s cursing, directly stuffed a cloth into the corner of his mouth, bringing silence to the room.
Zuo Kai, who had been following Lu Tianyang for a long time, couldn’t understand why he would stoop to such actions. Many of Longmen's establishments had already been raided by the police and were now closed.
“Boss, did Longmen offend us? If we keep this up, they might retaliate,” Zuo Kai cautiously reminded him.
“Stop talking nonsense and do as I say. Get out!” Lu Tianyang was actually waiting for them to retaliate. Besides Long Shaotang, who else could control Longmen?
With a shout from Lu Tianyang, Zuo Kai dared not say anything further. “Get back here. I want Long Shaotang’s sister, Long Shaoxue. Bring her to me. Do you understand what I mean?”
Long Shaoxue—he didn’t understand why the boss called him late last night, instructing him to conduct a detailed investigation on Long Shaotang’s relatives. Long Shaoxue was Long Shaotang’s biological sister and was studying at Ning University. Ordinary people had no idea she was the young lady of Longmen; her grades were exceptionally good.
“Got it, I understand,” Zuo Kai replied without asking further. The boss was so angry; could it be related to Lady? He remembered being asked to deliver clothes to the hotel.
Zuo Kai began to realize where the boss's fury stemmed from; it must have been something that Long Shaotang did to Lady that provoked such a reaction.
