When Ye Ya arrived at the hospital, she searched for a while before finding Guo Ma. "Guo Ma, how is Chen Chen doing?" 0

"I'm sorry, Lady. It's my fault for not taking good care of Chen Chen that she got sick. We've already seen the doctor, and he said it was just a stomach upset," Guo Ma said apologetically. 0

Ye Ya patted her shoulder. "Guo Ma, I know you did your best to take care of Chen Chen. It's also my responsibility as her mother, so don't be too upset." 0

Guo Ma sighed. "Fortunately, the Young Master heard that the Young Miss was sick and rushed over immediately. He's inside now." 0

Ye Ya paused for a moment, realizing that Guo Ma must have been exhausted these past few days. "Guo Ma, you should go home and rest. I'll take care of Chen Chen." 0

Guo Ma nodded, thinking that perhaps this was an opportunity for the Young Master and Lady to spend some time alone together. 0

Ye Ya pushed open the door and saw that Chen Chen had lost some weight since she left home. It pained her deeply; as a mother, she felt guilty for not taking better care of her little girl. 0

"Lu Tianyang, thank you," Ye Ya said as she walked over to the other side where the little one was receiving an IV drip. The sight made her heart ache even more. 0

Lu Tianyang glanced at her, frowning slightly. "Chen Chen is also my daughter." He wondered if she had driven back from the south all night; didn't she realize how dangerous that was? 0

"You must be busy. I can take care of Chen Chen; you should go home," she replied. 0

Just then, Lu Tianyang's expression darkened like a pot bottom. "You go home and sleep! I'll stay here at the hospital. Look at your face—it's pale like a ghost! Aren't you afraid you'll scare Chen Chen?" 0

Ye Ya touched her own face. Was it really that bad? She hadn't rested well these past few days, and hearing about Chen Chen's illness only made her more anxious. 0

"Alright, go back and rest. Don't drive; take a taxi home," Lu Tianyang said, holding back his frustration. 0

"I'm not going anywhere; I'm staying here with her," Ye Ya insisted as she sat down. The little one was a part of her; there was no way she could sleep if she went home. 0

Lu Tianyang looked at her and saw that nothing had changed—she was as stubborn as ever. He decided not to say anything more. 0

Ye Ya drove all night to return home, and as she sat on the edge of the bed, she couldn't help but doze off. Lu Tianyang, unable to tolerate it any longer, walked over and picked her up. Startled, Ye Ya quickly worried about waking their daughter. "Hey, what are you doing? We're already divorced." 0

"Sleep here. Don't worry; I'm no longer interested in you," Lu Tianyang replied impatiently, carrying her over to the sofa. 0

"Actually, I'm not tired. Let me go," Ye Ya protested, pushing his hands away. They were no longer a couple, and besides, he had lost interest in her. 0

"Just sleep. I'll keep watch," Lu Tianyang said, not bothering to look at her again. Seeing his expression, Ye Ya chose not to argue further. She lay down on the sofa and soon fell asleep. She hadn't rested well in days, but with him watching over Chen Chen, she felt a sense of security. 0

After a while, Lu Tianyang turned to look at her again. She must be exhausted from driving all night; he wanted to give her a good talking-to about her reckless behavior. How could she be so careless when she was already a mother? He wondered how she managed without him by her side. 0

Unable to sleep, Lu Tianyang felt uneasy not being able to see Chen Chen. In the middle of the night, a nurse came in and adjusted the IV drip. "Lu Tianyang, the child is fine; there's no need to worry." 0

"Okay, please go out and don't wake them," Lu Tianyang replied, relieved to see that Chen Chen was doing much better. 0

The nurse glanced at him—such a handsome man who cared so much for his wife and child was truly a rare find. 0

Watching both of them sleep peacefully brought him some comfort. It had been a while since he last saw Ye Ya; Amy had informed him that she was busy every day. It seemed he would need to help her with the factory issues so she wouldn't have to run around so much. 0

He walked over to Ye Ya and noticed the dark circles under her eyes. He felt both angry and frustrated; she never listened to him. She knew he could help her but never asked for it. If he hadn't sent Amy over, he would never have realized how hard she was working. 0

He took her hand and placed it in his palm, letting out a soft sigh. 0

Ye Ya stirred in her sleep and vaguely saw Lu Tianyang beside her. Suddenly alert, she jolted awake and quickly withdrew her hand when she realized he was holding it. "Why are you so close?" 0

"There was a mosquito; I helped catch it," Lu Tianyang said, noticing her suspicious expression. He scratched his nose and decided not to linger there any longer, turning instead to Chen Chen's bedside. 0

Ye Ya wondered why there would be mosquitoes here as she felt more refreshed after her nap. She walked over to Chen Chen and noticed that her complexion had improved significantly since the last time she checked on her. 0

“Baby, I’m sorry for making you suffer,” Ye Ya said as she took her hand. The little one had probably worn herself out earlier and was now sleeping soundly. 0

“Wife, don’t worry. The doctor said everything is fine,” Lu Tianyang replied, glancing at her without realizing how he had addressed her. 0

Ye Ya shot him a glare. “Who’s your wife? Didn’t you say you weren’t interested in me anymore?” 0

Lu Tianyang’s face shifted from pale to flushed. “Ye Ya, don’t think that just because we’re divorced, you can do whatever you want. You need to consider the child’s reputation.” 0

Damn it, was he looking for a fight? What did he mean by her acting recklessly? 0

“Lu Tianyang, if your eyes saw me acting recklessly, then stop spouting nonsense.” Now that they were divorced, Ye Ya wasn’t afraid of him anymore. He used to go crazy thinking she had something with Xiao Lin, while he himself was tangled up with Fu Wan Jing—he’d even shared a bed with her. 0

“I told you to stay away from Xiao Lin and Long Shaotang. Did you listen?” Lu Tianyang still felt a surge of anger when mentioning those two scoundrels. It was obvious what Xiao Lin wanted from her; even a blind person could see it. It was hard to tell whether she was foolish or still held feelings for him. 0

“Lu Tianyang, you’ve been in bed with Fu Wan Jing! What right do you have to criticize me? I don’t want to argue with you anymore. We’re divorced; we have nothing to do with each other,” Ye Ya turned away, unable to look at him any longer, fearing it would only make her angrier. 0

“Ye Ya, I swear on my life that I didn’t touch her! That night I was drunk, but whether I did or not is clear to me. Believe it or not,” he insisted. 0

Ye Ya let out a cold laugh. “Whether you did or didn’t has nothing to do with me. You can be with whoever you want; what does it matter to me?” 0

Neither of them wanted to back down, and eventually, Chen Chen woke up from the commotion, clearly unhappy and began to cry. 0

Ye Ya regretted it as soon as she saw Chen Chen awake. Why couldn’t she have held her tongue? Here she was arguing with that jerk while her child was right there; it wasn’t worth it at all. 0

“Chen Chen, I’m sorry for waking you up,” Ye Ya said as she picked her up and tried to soothe her. “Are you hungry?” 0

“Good girl, wait a moment. Daddy will prepare some milk for you,” Lu Tianyang said, already trained as a super dad. Preparing milk wasn’t difficult; it was just inconvenient in the hospital where everything was hot water. They both watched helplessly as Chen Chen cried, unable to drink the milk because it was too hot. 0

“Go get a bowl of water. Putting the bottle inside will speed things up. Chen Chen isn’t crying anymore. Mommy won’t talk to Daddy from now on, I’m sorry, baby.” 0

Lu Tianyang was trying to find a way to cool down the water when he heard Ye Ya’s words and nearly spat out blood. “Ye Ya, let me tell you, Chen Chen cries because of you. If you had just listened to me obediently, would she be crying so sadly?” 0

“Lu Tianyang, you’re a man who drags everything back to Chen Chen. What does our issue have to do with her? You should show up less in front of Chen Chen; I’m afraid you’ll teach my daughter bad things.” 0

“A good man doesn’t argue with women. There isn’t much time left for the temperature to drop, and look, Chen Chen isn’t crying anymore.” Lu Tianyang shoved the pacifier into her mouth, and the little one’s cries finally ceased, her eyes glistening with tears as she looked at them, appearing very wronged. 0

Ye Ya glanced over. “Lu Tianyang, let’s make a pact.” 0

“What kind of pact?” Lu Tianyang raised an eyebrow, holding the bottle for Chen Chen. 0

“From now on, let’s not argue in front of Chen Chen. I’m worried it will leave her with a shadow. In short, it would be best if you showed up less in front of us.” Ye Ya thought about it and concluded that if he didn’t appear, there wouldn’t be any problems. 0

“Not arguing is fine; I can tolerate you. But why should I see less of Chen Chen? Ye Ya, can you at least be reasonable?” This was something Lu Tianyang absolutely wouldn’t agree to; it was ridiculous. 0

At this point, the two reached an agreement and quieted down. After Ye Ya managed to lull the child to sleep, the sky was already beginning to brighten. 0

Lu Tianyang looked at her. “Alright, I’ll watch the baby. You should go sleep for a while; it’s still early.” 0

“No need. You’ve been awake all night; go get some rest. I’m not tired.” Ye Ya thought about how he had kept watch last night; he didn’t look much better himself. 0

Lu Tianyang didn’t respond because he didn’t want to ruin their rare peaceful atmosphere. “Is it because work hasn’t been going well? You shouldn’t drive late at night anymore.” 0

Ye Ya shot him a glare and lowered her voice. “Lu Tianyang, are you having Amy spy on me?” 0

“Stop flattering yourself; you’re not my wife right now. Why would I spy on you?” Lu Tianyang wore an expression that clearly said he would never do such a thing. 0

"I'm telling you, it’s none of your business how I handle things. Thanks for your concern," Ye Ya clearly dismissed his words. 0

"I’m warning you, women age quickly when they stay up late. Look at your skin; it’s as rough as tree bark. You can't drive all night for several hours straight. What if something happens?" Lu Tianyang's voice was low but filled with intensity. 0

Ye Ya opened her mouth to respond, but if Amy hadn't told him, how would he know she had been driving back at night? 0

Forget it; arguing with him was pointless. 0

Seeing her silent, Lu Tianyang assumed she was ignoring him and grew frustrated. "You foolish woman, did you hear me? No night driving!" 0

"I got it. Why are you repeating yourself? Lu Tianyang, we’re divorced now, so please remember that," Ye Ya replied impatiently. They were already divorced; why was he still so concerned? 0

"Fine, if you don’t want me to care, I’ll leave right now." Hearing her constantly mention their divorce made Lu Tianyang feel irritated; he despised those two words. 0

This time, Lu Tianyang really left. Ye Ya sighed softly. Was there any point in arguing like this? They were already divorced. 0

Though he said he wouldn’t care about her, as soon as he stepped out of the hospital, Lu Tianyang called Zuo Kai. At that moment, Zuo Kai was wrapped up with Long Shaoxue. If it weren’t for the president's call waking him up so early, he would have wanted to dig up his ancestors and whip them for disturbing his sleep. 0

"Hello, boss. What can I do for you this early?" Zuo Kai checked the time—wasn’t it barely six o'clock? 0

"Zuo Kai, send someone to the south to handle Ye Ya's factory issues. She must not know I'm helping her, understood?" Lu Tianyang thought it was unacceptable for her to be running around like this. The idea of her driving back alone at night made him uneasy. 0

"Understood." After hanging up, Zuo Kai noticed Long Shaoxue had been awakened by the call. "That Mr. Lu is simply insane to call you this early." 0

Zuo Kai nodded. "When it comes to Lady matters, he can be quite obsessive; you’ll get used to it. Are you still tired, Long Shaoxue?" 0

"I'm not tired; what’s up?" Just as she finished speaking, Long Shaoxue felt a hand reaching toward her lower body, and she immediately squeezed her legs together. "Zuo Kai, no! I'm really tired!" 0

"You've been naughty again. I estimate that after dawn, I’ll have to rush to handle some matters at the factory for Lady, and I might not be back for several days. You wouldn’t want me to go hungry, would you?" Zuo Kai's reasoning was quite compelling; dealing with Lady's affairs was essentially about helping her brother, and pleasing Lady was of utmost importance. 0

"Then be gentle," Long Shaoxue thought, realizing that Zuo Kai was also doing this for himself. 0

Suddenly, Zuo Kai pulled her onto his lap. "Long Shaoxue, don’t say I’m bullying you; this time, I’ll let you come." 0

Long Shaoxue froze for a moment. "What do you mean by 'come'? I can’t do that!" She immediately shook her head; how could she possibly manage such a thing? 0

"I'll teach you, and you'll get the hang of it. You need to learn this eventually, understand?" Zuo Kai threatened while gently instructing her, leaving Long Shaoxue feeling utterly overwhelmed. 0

Afterward, Long Shaoxue lay on the bed. "Zuo Kai, I hate this position; it’s too tiring. I don’t want to do it again." 0

Zuo Kai was quite satisfied as he turned to get out of bed. "I really like it; I can see your expressions clearly. Long Shaoxue, you’re beautiful." 0

His words were sincere. He enjoyed teaching her bit by bit how to become his woman. 0

"Really? Zuo Kai, you lecher!" Women love to hear compliments, but thinking about the position made her face flush. 0

"Alright, I have to go now. You sleep a little longer; when I come back, I'll take care of you," Zuo Kai said as he kissed her forehead. 0

Long Shaoxue thought for a moment and grabbed his hand. "Zuo Kai, why not take me with you? I could help out, and when I return, I’ll see if Lady can help my brother out." 0

"No way. You stay home and wait for me; the conditions there aren’t as good as at home." Zuo Kai thought that handling things alone would be more efficient. 0

"If you take me along, didn’t you say you can’t sleep without me? Wouldn’t it be better if I kept you company? Whatever position you want, I’ll do it," Long Shaoxue said shyly, her face already flushed red from embarrassment. However, she wanted to do something to make up for it since her brother had been at fault in this matter. 0

"Silly girl, aren’t you afraid of the hard work?" Zuo Kai thought to himself; did she really believe he was a beast who didn’t care about her well-being? 0

"I'm not afraid; you're here with me," she replied confidently about that point. 0

"Alright, get up and put on your clothes. It's just a three-hour drive. Long Shaoxue, do you like the outdoors?" Zuo Kai pondered for a moment and suddenly thought that if the shy Long Shaoxue were to have an adventure in the wild, it would surely be exhilarating. 0

"What outdoors?" Long Shaoxue asked as she got out of bed to change, unable to grasp Zuo Kai's deeper meaning. 0

Zuo Kai wrapped his arms around her from behind and whispered in her ear. Long Shaoxue's face turned even redder. "No way, absolutely not! What if someone sees us?" 0

"Then I won't take you. I'll go early and come back early," Zuo Kai said, not wanting to push her. 0

"No, I want to go! I'll just listen to you," Long Shaoxue decided boldly, thinking that no one would recognize her there anyway. 0

Zuo Kai took Long Shaoxue to the south to secretly help Ye Ya deal with some matters. He was furious that this investment manager had the audacity to deceive Lady. 0

In the afternoon, Ye Ya was discharged from the hospital with her child. She didn't expect Lu Tianyang to be there and couldn't help but ask, "Aren't you busy?" 0

"No matter how busy I am, I have to pick up my daughter from the hospital. I'm telling you, it's definitely not for you, so don't get any ideas," Lu Tianyang said as he reached for the child's belongings and placed them in the car. He opened the car door for her, leaving Ye Ya no choice but to get in, just as he said—it was all for the child. 0

Once they got home, Ye Ya caught a whiff of herself and quickly handed the child over to Guo Ma before rushing into the bathroom to take a shower. 0

Lu Tianyang entered the room; everything inside was just as it had been—nothing had changed. 0

While showering, Ye Ya found her hair tangled together. As she washed her hair, some foam got into her eyes, forcing her to close them and rinse with water. 0

With her vision obscured and balance lost, she reached out for something but knocked it over with a loud crash. A bottle of essential oil shattered, its fragrant aroma filling the bathroom while glass scattered everywhere. 0

She hurriedly searched for a towel; her eyes stung painfully, and in her haste, she stepped on a piece of glass. 0

Hearing the commotion and her pained gasp, Lu Tianyang rushed through the door without a second thought about their marital issues. 0

He entered and let out a cold shout, "Ye Ya, you are not allowed to move. Stand right there." The glass shattered beneath her feet, and the blood stained the water red, a sight both shocking and heart-wrenching. 0

"Don't move," Lu Tianyang said as he watched her trying to grab something to cover herself. Did she think that whatever she covered with would be of any use? He had never seen that part of her. 0

Lu Tianyang grabbed a bath towel and wrapped it around her. "Don't move, just listen to me. There’s a lot of broken glass on the floor." 0

"Lu Tianyang, there's soap in my eyes, it hurts," Ye Ya said, struggling to open her eyes, which were nearly shut tight. 0

"Hold onto me and don’t move. I’ll clean your eyes with water. And just so you know, if your feet get hurt later, you’re not allowed to cry," Lu Tianyang said helplessly. Ye Ya couldn’t see anything at the moment; she could only listen to him and held onto his waist to prevent herself from falling. 0

Lu Tianyang took the showerhead and rinsed off the soap from her head as well. The towel got wet, and finding it troublesome, he simply tossed it aside. 0

"Lower your head a bit and don’t move." He really had no intention of looking at her figure; as he said, there was nothing he could see. Seeing her in pain made him incredibly anxious. 0

"Wife, are you feeling any better? Should I take you to the hospital? Injuries to the eyes are serious." Lu Tianyang turned off the water and took a clean towel to wipe her face. Ye Ya’s eyes were causing her great discomfort. 0
