Qi Fan held her hand and looked into her eyes. "Mo Mo, where there is a will, there is a way. Whatever difficulties we face, we will confront them together. Don't give up so easily, okay?"
Tao Momo gazed at his determined expression, feeling as if she had been punched in the heart. She nodded, "Alright, Qi Fan, I didn't mean to lose my temper with you." Reflecting on how she had been hitting, biting, and kicking him, she thought it was quite unfortunate for Qi Fan to have a girlfriend like her.
Qi Fan moved to sit beside her and pulled her close. "It's alright. If you're feeling upset, it's natural to want to hit or lash out. I can take it, Mo Mo. Are you still sad? Seeing you cry hurts me more than if you stabbed me."
"Who wants to hit you? Do you think my heart doesn't hurt?" Tao Momo felt her mood lift. She couldn't just give up in the face of a little difficulty. Most importantly, this man remained steadfast.
"Let me see your hand; it looks painful." Qi Fan glanced at her and thought she looked beautiful no matter how he saw her. Unable to resist, he leaned in and kissed her.
Tao Momo pushed him away. "No! What if someone sees us?" Although Miss Tao appeared bold and carefree, she was actually quite conservative and believed such things should only happen when no one was around.
"It’s fine; we’re in a private room." Qi Fan hadn’t had the chance to hold her properly in days, so he wasn’t about to let go easily now. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her again, feeling it wasn’t enough as his hand subtly slipped under her clothing.
Tao Momo had a great figure, but she usually dressed conservatively, hiding her true self from others. Qi Fan felt proud; Tao Momo was his alone.
"Stop it! Qi Fan, you pervert! Let go!" Tao Momo panicked at the thought of a server walking in.
"Mo Mo, don’t go home tonight, okay? Stay with me," Qi Fan reluctantly withdrew his hand. He truly didn’t want to let go; she was clearly his—just a piece of paper away from being officially his for life.
"I can’t! If my parents find out, they’ll be even angrier. You might as well be saying there's already a baby in my belly!"
"Don’t scare me! I’m not ready to have kids!" Tao Momo felt relieved that she worked in fashion; if she tidied herself up well enough, they probably wouldn’t notice anything unusual.
“Fool, if I don’t have a child with you, who else would I have one with? Come on, let me take you home.” Qi Fan knew that this woman loved to say one thing while meaning another. In truth, having a child wouldn’t be such a bad idea.
These two awkward individuals had reconciled, and the road ahead was still long, perhaps filled with countless difficulties. But with love by their side, what did it matter?
At Yiju Mountain Villa, Ye Ya had just come out of the shower. The man was in the study, and it was quiet; he hadn’t come to disturb her.
“Lu Tianyang, what do you think we should do about Mo Mo and Qi Fan? Qi Mu’s attitude is similar to your mother’s, and neither of us is the daughter-in-law they wanted,” Ye Ya said with some concern, fearing that Tao Momo might be unhappy.
“Wife, I’m the one marrying you, not them. As long as I’m satisfied, that’s all that matters. Don’t worry; Qi Fan isn’t irresponsible. He won’t bully your good friend. Speaking of which, you seem to care about Tao Momo more than you care about me,” Lu Tianyang replied, putting down his mouse and turning to look at her.
“Childish! What does my relationship with her have to do with you? Right now, it really doesn’t have much to do with you at all,” Ye Ya said bluntly while holding a towel, stating the facts—after all, he was just her ex-husband.
Lu Tianyang felt hurt by her words. What did she mean by saying they didn’t have much of a relationship? It was too much. If she could say such things so easily, then he needed to show her who truly held the ground in this relationship.
He shut down the computer and walked over to her, pulling her into his arms. “Wife, do we really not have any relationship at all? Hmm?”
