After Fu Wan Jing and the Lu Family left, the Lu Family became quieter. Lu Old Man looked at the two of them and couldn't help but sigh.
At that moment, the television was broadcasting news about Ye Ya's fashion show. Du Huiru looked at it in surprise and asked, "Is this company yours or is it Lu Tianyang's?" Recently, all the high-society ladies in town had been very fond of this brand's clothing.
"Mom, the company is Xiao Ya's; I haven't interfered at all," Lu Tianyang said proudly, as that dazzling woman was his.
"Forget it. Things are what they are; three divorces don't sound good. Let's eat first," Lu Old Man said, not having any objections himself but feeling sorry for Wan Jing, the granddaughter of his comrade. Now that Wan Jing had come to terms with things, it was indeed better not to say anything more.
"Let's eat first."
Lu Tianyang took her hand and walked over. With Fu Wan Jing no longer in between them, Ye Ya noticed their attitude had changed. "Honey, I don't think Grandpa and the others are angry anymore; you don't need to worry."
Ye Ya nodded. Although the Lu Family didn't particularly welcome her, she still politely called out, "Grandpa, this is your favorite Dongpo Pork." She picked up a piece and offered it to him.
"Let's eat," Lu Old Man said as he accepted the dish she offered and took a bite.
Ye Ya felt a little relieved. Halfway through the meal, she glanced at Du Huiru and said, "Mom, if you like Moya's designs, just let me know, and I'll have Mo Mo design a few pieces for you."
"Sure! When I have some free time, I'll come over to take a good look," Du Huiru replied. Hearing this made her feel good inside, especially knowing that this company was run by her daughter-in-law; it would give her quite a bit of face among the socialites.
After finishing dinner at the Lu Family's house, it was already past nine o'clock. Lu Tianyang held her hand as they walked in the night breeze. "Honey, thank you," he said, recalling how she had been trying hard to please his grandparents earlier.
"Husband, I didn't want you to be caught in between either. They dislike me mainly because of Fu Wan Jing. Thankfully, Fu Wan Jing has come to terms with everything now, so there shouldn't be any major issues," Ye Ya replied with a sigh of relief.
"Honey, we need to take good care of each other from now on. Tomorrow I'll call Xiao Lin and invite him to the wedding. Oh right, we must inform Long Shaotang too," Lu Tianyang said. Thinking about Long Shaotang still made him angry; however, considering Zuo Kai's situation, he couldn't let him miss out on finding a partner.
"Husband, you're not jealous anymore?" Ye Ya asked in surprise. This man usually gritted his teeth whenever Xiao Lin was mentioned, but now he was actively bringing him up and inviting him to their wedding.
"You’re mine now; I’m not afraid of them anymore. We won’t make it too extravagant—just invite some close friends and family for a meal. I think Grandpa and the others will agree to that arrangement," Lu Tianyang thought to himself, hoping to make up for past regrets this time.
"Okay, husband, let's go home," Ye Ya said as she linked her arm with his. Winter would be cold, but with this man by her side, she felt warm.
“Hmm, we’re going home. Chen Chen must be missing us,” Lu Tianyang thought everything around him was so beautiful.
His restless heart had calmed down because of her, and he cherished this tranquility.
The next day, Xiao Lin received a call from Lu Tianyang, who told her they had remarried. After hearing this, Xiao Lin simply said she would definitely come to celebrate with a grand gift.
As for Long Shaotang, he had a heated exchange with Lu Tianyang, accusing him of being insidious for letting his precious sister get swept away by his underling.
Finally, Ye Ya listened to their argument for a while before taking the phone. “Long Shaotang, what’s wrong with Zuo Kai? Can someone like him even understand love?”
Hearing Ye Ya’s voice softened Long Shaotang’s tone. “Ye Ya, did you really remarry him?” he asked, still unwilling to give up.
“Yeah, we’ve remarried,” Ye Ya admitted generously.
Long Shaotang sighed softly; perhaps they were indeed meant to be together. No matter how much they struggled, they would ultimately end up together.
“I’ll consider what you said. Have that scoundrel Zuo Kai bring my sister back,” Long Shaotang expressed his disdain for Zuo Kai’s actions. A leader like that would naturally have subordinates of the same caliber.
After hanging up the phone, Ye Ya looked at Lu Tianyang. “Honey, Long Shaotang seems really angry. He said Zuo Kai took his sister away.”
Lu Tianyang wrapped his arms around her waist. “How can you say ‘took’? But Zuo Kai did well this time; I need to prepare a grand gift for their wedding.”
Having been by Lu Tianyang’s side for so long, Zuo Kai certainly deserved some recognition. However, thinking about Long Shaotang’s feelings made him feel quite good.
With her relationship with the Lu family improving, Ye Ya finally felt she could breathe a sigh of relief. Back at the office, she noticed Tao Momo didn’t look well and wondered if she had been too preoccupied with her remarriage to pay attention to her.
“Mo Mo, what’s wrong?” Tao Momo appeared listless and was about to speak when she suddenly felt nauseous and rushed to the restroom.
Seeing Tao Momo like that made Ye Ya raise an eyebrow. After a while, Tao Momo returned. Ye Ya looked at the oranges on the plate, peeled one, and the sour scent filled the air. “Mo Mo, want some?”
Tao Momo took it and popped two pieces into her mouth. Watching her reaction confirmed Ye Ya’s suspicion. “Mo Mo, are you pregnant?”
Tao Momo was momentarily stunned. "Pregnant? That's impossible." She had never considered that possibility, but Qi Fan, that jerk, never used protection and always swore that it wouldn't happen.
"Forget it, I'll go with you to the hospital for a check-up." Ye Ya looked at her and could tell she seemed pregnant. She was afraid that this silly girl might not even realize what was going on.
"Xiao Ya, you're at the office, right? You still need to prepare for your honeymoon; you have a lot to arrange. I'll go by myself; there's no way I'm pregnant," Tao Momo said, unable to believe this reality.
So, Miss Tao quietly slipped into a pharmacy, feeling like a thief as she bought a pregnancy test. She had Qi Fan's apartment key and went straight up to take the test.
She glanced at the instructions and fumbled with the test for a while before finally getting it done. Not daring to wait in the bathroom, she paced anxiously in the living room. After about three minutes, she gathered all her courage and stepped into the bathroom. When she looked at the result, she was stunned—two red lines.
Tao Momo was terrified. She picked up her phone and called Qi Fan. He was in a meeting, but when he saw her name on the caller ID, he paused the meeting. "Mo Mo, what's wrong?"
"Qi Fan," Tao Momo cried uncontrollably, nearly driving him mad with worry. "What happened? Don't cry; tell me what's going on."
"Qi Fan, I don't know what to do!" The reality hit her too suddenly. They weren't even married yet, and she had no idea how to handle this situation, especially since his family didn't like her.
"Mo Mo, don't cry. Tell me where you are." Hearing her voice made Qi Fan's heart ache; something serious must have happened for her to be crying like this.
