In the corridor of the Dingsheng Hotel on the thirty-ninth floor, a graceful woman walked alone, her presence contrasting sharply with the emptiness around her. The seemingly endless hallway made her heart race, and the sound of her stiletto heels was perfectly muted against the polished floor.
Qiao Nuo was dressed in a sleek black trench coat, her delicate face partially obscured by oversized sunglasses. The shades concealed the indifference in her eyes, but her tightly pressed lips betrayed a hint of tension and… anger.
Holding the room key card she had discreetly taken from the cleaning lady, Qiao Nuo stood before the door of room 3988.
Taking a deep breath, she reminded herself that while she could overlook the betrayal of her best friend and boyfriend, she would not allow them to toy with her emotions any longer.
With a gentle swipe of the card, she pushed the door open.
The suite was quiet, except for the sound of running water coming from the bathroom and the muffled voices of a man and a woman.
Qiao Nuo’s temples throbbed as she gripped the doorknob tightly, her knuckles turning white.
It was fine; all she needed to do was walk over, open the bathroom door, snap a few photos of the two cheating lovers inside, and retrieve what she came for. Then it would all be over!
With determination, Qiao Nuo acted swiftly, not allowing herself to think further. She pulled out her phone, switched to camera mode, and stormed to the bathroom door. Pausing for just a fraction of a second, she flung it open and began snapping pictures inside.
The bathroom fell silent for what felt like an eternity as Qiao Nuo busied herself with her phone. However, to her dismay, the scene inside was not what she had imagined—no duet of voices mingling together!
She stared intently at her screen for a moment before realizing that there was not a man and a woman as expected.
There was only one man!
A naked man!
The man's skin was fair, but combined with his strong, muscular arms and defined abs, he did not appear effeminate at all.
With broad shoulders and a narrow waist, he was the typical type who looked muscular when undressed but slim in clothes!
However, the key point was that Qiao Nuo's gaze was fixed on a certain part of the man... and it was truly impressive.
As Qiao Nuo's eyes slowly moved upward, she was taken aback to discover a face so handsome it could stir up both admiration and envy, and it wasn't the face of that scoundrel!
There was no scene in the bathroom that matched her imagination; instead, the sounds were coming from the television inside the bathroom!
Qiao Nuo's mind went blank in an instant!
In the next moment, the man in the bathtub stood up with a splash, water droplets scattering across the bathroom floor, some even landing on Qiao Nuo!
In a moment of panic, she accidentally pressed the photo button.
Almost instinctively, Qiao Nuo shoved her phone into her pocket and stared blankly at the man before her, who was slowly wrapping a towel around his muscular body.
The man secured his towel and walked barefoot on the warm tiles. He raised an eyebrow as he looked at the woman frozen in shock at the doorway.
"What’s wrong? Didn’t get the shot you wanted? Disappointed?" His voice contrasted sharply with the warmth of the suite.
It was only then that Qiao Nuo realized that the man staring coldly at her was none other than Jin Chengyan, the president of Dingsheng Hotel!
She clearly heard that scumbag and her so-called best friend were going to Room 3988 at Dingsheng Hotel. There was no way she could be mistaken.
“Sorry, I must have walked into the wrong room.” After a brief moment of distraction, Qiao Nuo adjusted her thoughts and remembered that she had just seen Jin Chengyan standing right in front of her. She even took a picture—what a reckless move!
With that thought, Qiao Nuo felt an urge to flee, but just as she took a step, he grabbed her by the arm and forcefully pinned her against the wall.
One of his arms was pressed across her chest, making it hard for her to breathe. Her face immediately flushed, half from anxiety and half from embarrassment.
After all, it was the first time in her life she had seen a naked man.
“Ahem… Mr. Jin… Mr. Jin, I really… I really walked into the wrong room…” Qiao Nuo struggled to get the words out, but Jin Chengyan showed no sign of believing her. Instead, he pressed down harder with his arm.
Qiao Nuo felt like she had run into the worst luck imaginable. Instead of catching someone in the act, she found herself caught by the most powerful and influential person in Qin Cheng, and she had even taken a picture of him. She didn’t know if she would make it out alive!
Just when Qiao Nuo thought she was about to suffocate, she felt his hand on her thigh.
What was he doing? Was he going to assault her?
“Jin… Chengyan! If you dare… dare to touch me, I won’t… I won’t let you off!” Qiao Nuo felt flustered and desperate. Was she really about to be violated? That was her precious purity that she had cherished for so long! Even that scumbag hadn’t touched her; now it seemed like this inexplicable Jin Chengyan would!
