“Ding dong~” The doorbell rang, and Xu Lin put down the red medicine.
“It must be Jin Shao. I’ll take my leave now,” Xu Lin said, feeling anxious about facing Jin Chengyan.
“Thank you,” Ruan Shengyu nodded slightly.

As she closed the door, Yan Beiting turned back to Ruan Shengyu and said, “I didn’t know you were injured; otherwise, I would have brought some flowers and fruits.”
Ruan Shengyu smiled self-deprecatingly.
Who doesn't know that our Yan San Shao is a well-known gentleman? As long as the woman has met him more than once, he will definitely bring flowers, making people feel warm and considerate.
However, our Yan San has never given Ruan Shengyu a single flower, not even one.
He made it clear that he wanted to keep their relationship distinct.
"Let's go inside first!" Without waiting for Yan Beiting to respond, Ruan Shengyu headed straight into the living room.

"I haven't returned to Qin Cheng in six years, not because I truly fear the Jin Family or A Yan, but because I believe that the friendship between our families and between him and me is more important than anything else."
Ruan Shengyu understood perfectly well that "other things" referred to her feelings for him.
Hearing him say this made Ruan Shengyu feel heartbroken, but her expression remained calm and unbothered.
"A Yan loves you very much; everyone close to him knows that. I don't want you to ruin both of your happiness because of your obsession. Also, please stop targeting Qiao Nuo; she has nothing to do with A Yan." In truth, Yan Beiting wasn't sure whether Qiao Nuo had any connection with Jin Chengyan.
But he stubbornly believed that there was absolutely no connection between them, none at all!
