“Qiao Nuo, you must be crazy!” she murmured to herself, leaning against the railing as the cool river breeze brushed against her face, hoping it would help clear her mind.
Those few words from Jin Chengyan had completely captivated her.
She wasn’t without comfort; just a few days ago, the doctors and nurses at the hospital had offered their condolences, and later Huo Yawen had shown her meticulous care. But none of it truly resonated with her; she merely accepted it all.
Yet, those few words from Jin Chengyan had warmed her heart. Looking at his face made her unable to resist, and she had inexplicably kissed him!
His agile tongue, his heated hands, his deep and affectionate eyes…
Qiao Nuo suddenly closed her eyes, unable to calm down for a long time.
Until a ringtone pulled her back from her reverie.

There was a brief moment of disappointment on the other end of the line before he said, "Yan Beiting."

"Where are you now?"

Twenty minutes later, Jin Chengyan arrived, driving a sleek car. He wore a white striped shirt and deep blue suit pants, and as he stepped out of the vehicle, a refreshing breeze seemed to follow him.
He took off his sunglasses and smiled at Qiao Nuo.
