Since Qiao Nuo realized that she had feelings for Jin Chengyan, she felt a bit guilty when facing Ruan Shengyu.
Despite the fact that they had never appeared in public as a couple over the past six years, it was undeniable that Jin Chengyan liked Ruan Shengyu.

“Actually, I should be calling you Jin Shaonai nai now, right?” Ruan Shengyu's words were laced with sarcasm, and she didn't show any kindness toward Qiao Nuo.
Qiao Nuo pulled her hand away from Ruan Shengyu's grip.
“If you have nothing else to say, I’ll be leaving.”
“Are you feeling guilty?” Ruan Shengyu said coldly to Qiao Nuo's back. “Don’t you think it’s shameless to interfere in someone else's relationship?”
Qiao Nuo slightly closed her eyes. Since Ruan Shengyu insisted on this confrontation, she didn’t want to be a coward.
She turned around to face Ruan Shengyu.
Both of them were exceptionally beautiful—one in a deep blue dress and the other in white—each exuding a distinctly different aura.
Qiao Nuo had a serene expression, exuding a kind of cold beauty that felt as distant as a giant miles away.
Ruan Shengyu, on the other hand, was the type of ethereal beauty that seemed untouched by the mundane world.
It was no wonder that the two outstanding men outside were in a heated dispute over the two of them.
“Miss Ruan, when I married Jin Chengyan, he was single and so was I. Even if you two are in love…” As Qiao Nuo uttered the words "in love," she almost wished she could bite her own tongue. “Now, I am Mrs. Jin. Please be mindful of how you speak.”
Ruan Shengyu chuckled softly, as if she had heard a particularly amusing joke.
“In love? You like A Yan,” Ruan Shengyu saw right through Qiao Nuo.
That was a woman’s sixth sense, able to accurately discern who had feelings for her man. Qiao Nuo’s demeanor clearly indicated her affection for Jin Chengyan.

Qiao Nuo was surprised to see the look of astonishment on Ruan Shengyu's face. Assuming she was merely taken aback and hadn't thought much further, Qiao Nuo pushed the door open and stepped outside.
To her surprise, she saw the young girl standing outside the restroom.
Ji Xining.
She was holding a bag that seemed to contain clothes, but it was definitely not a formal dress. Perhaps she had intended to change in the restroom but hadn't expected Qiao Nuo and Ruan Shengyu to be inside.
"You..." Qiao Nuo pointed inside, wanting to ask if Ji Xining had heard anything, but Ji Xining quickly covered Qiao Nuo's mouth and pulled her in the opposite direction down the hallway.
Qiao Nuo didn't know why she was running with this girl, but she found Ji Xining to be quite an interesting person.
Eventually, Ji Xining led Qiao Nuo into a private room on the second floor.
In front of Qiao Nuo, she started changing clothes!
"Miss Ji!" Qiao Nuo immediately covered her eyes. This girl was a bit too bold, changing in front of another woman. Although they were both female, it was their first meeting!
"It's fine, I'm wearing a bra underneath!"
Qiao Nuo: "..." That's a completely different concept!
She was truly a carefree girl.
After about a minute, Qiao Nuo opened her eyes and saw that the little girl had changed into her usual clothes, indicating that she had no intention of attending the party.
"Are you leaving?" Qiao Nuo asked.
"Yeah, these kinds of parties are the most boring. That Ji Nuan Yang guy wouldn’t let me leave, so I had to sneak away. Don’t tell anyone you saw me, okay?" Ji Xining playfully threatened Qiao Nuo.
"If you don’t want me to tell anyone, why did you bring me here? What if I accidentally let it slip?" Qiao Nuo found the little girl quite amusing.
She really seemed almost childlike, small and delicate like a Barbie doll, with a pair of big innocent eyes looking at Qiao Nuo, making her feel that her earlier words might have been a bit too much.
Having changed out of her gown into simple jeans and a hoodie, she radiated a vibrant youthful energy.
"Alright, I was just teasing you! Honestly, I find these parties incredibly dull too." If it weren't for wanting to collaborate with the Ji Family, Qiao Nuo wouldn't have bothered attending such an event!
Ji Xining seemed to have found a kindred spirit and casually linked her arm with Qiao Nuo's. "Then why don’t you come with me? You don’t even care about that big star anyway. Let’s just go out and have some fun!"
"You heard all that?" Qiao Nuo was taken aback.
Ji Xining shrugged nonchalantly. "Oh, I didn’t mean to eavesdrop; it’s just that you guys were talking too loudly. Don’t worry, I won’t spill anything. But seriously, did you really steal that big star's man? And end up as the main wife?"
To be honest, Ji Xining's expression was not unpleasant, but the way she phrased it…
“Alright, if you don’t leave soon, I’ll go tell Ji Nuan Yang!”
Threatened by Qiao Nuo, Ji Xining immediately released her grip.
“Okay, okay, let’s not hurt each other~ Since you don’t want to come with me, I won’t force you,” the girl quickly pecked Qiao Nuo on the cheek!
Qiao Nuo was caught off guard by the girl’s sudden kiss!
“Make sure to tell Ji Nuan Yang that I’ll be home on time, so don’t come looking for me!”
While Qiao Nuo was still in shock, Ji Xining had already opened the door and dashed out! She ran away!
Qiao Nuo stood frozen in place, nearly petrified. She had just been kissed by someone so much younger than herself… Although she didn’t know exactly how old Ji Xining was, she was still surprised!
But really, Ji Xining was quite endearing!

Jin Chengyan and Yan Beiting naturally obliged, maintaining their facade of good friends and partners as long as they hadn’t crossed each other’s bottom line.
“It’s an honor to finally stand alongside both of you today,” Ji Nuan Yang said, half sincere and half joking.
He had heard of Jin Chengyan and Yan Beiting’s names, but how much honor he felt was entirely up to him.
Yan Beiting nodded in acknowledgment. He had also heard from Yan An City about this Ji Nuan Yang, who had taken on the family responsibilities after his brother’s unexpected death. Though it was tough, he had managed to lead the Ji Family to prosperity.
As for Jin Chengyan, he wasn’t fond of such superficial pleasantries. However, since Ji Nuan Yang enjoyed this kind of banter, he couldn’t refuse to play along.
Life is like a play; it all depends on the performance!
Descending from the lounge, Yan An City did not see Ji Xining. Could it be that Ji Nuan Yang had made up an excuse to save him?

He was about to head back when he unexpectedly encountered a woman in a deep blue gown.

“I’m Yan An City, a friend of Yan Ge. Last time, Yan Ge asked me to buy a house from you. I got so busy that I forgot about it. Do you still need to boost your sales?” Yan An City wanted to make amends for the last incident where Jin Chengyan had scolded him.
Qiao Nuo was slightly taken aback. “Jin Chengyan asked you to buy a house from me?”
Her heart raced like a stone dropping into water, creating ripples upon ripples.
