“Ni Yue, have you lost your mind? What are you doing bringing Qiao Nuo here?” Ruan Shengyu instinctively felt that something was off when she saw Qiao Nuo tied to the chair.
Ni Yue looked at Ruan Shengyu's panicked expression and felt a sense of satisfaction.
She took out her phone and played back the recordings of every conversation she had with Ruan Shengyu.
Qiao Nuo, biting on the cloth, wasn’t deaf; she heard every word clearly!
This was all part of a scheme planned by Ruan Shengyu and Ni Yue, ultimately shifting the blame onto Qiao Nuo!
How ironic that Ruan Shengyu had just claimed in front of the Jin Family that Qiao Nuo was a scheming woman! Yet, it was Ruan Shengyu who truly fit that description!
Now that things had escalated to this point, Ruan Shengyu wasn't afraid of Qiao Nuo finding out. After her initial panic, she regained her composure. She had finally managed to sneak out of her house, evading numerous reporters and paparazzi, all to ensure that Ni Yue wouldn’t threaten her.
“How much do you want? I’ll pay you. Just give me the recordings and the originals!” Ruan Shengyu assessed Ni Yue’s demeanor; it was clear she was after money.
Since the Jin Family issued a ban, no one in Qin Cheng or even nearby cities would collaborate with the Ni Family anymore. With such a vast family business, the Ni Family was left to wither away!
Of course, the old man of the Ni Family had turned against Ni Yue, driving her out of the house. This woman was in desperate need of money!
“Oh, Miss Ruan, what a bold statement! Do you really think I’ll just take whatever you offer?” Ni Yue remained seated at the table, her long, slender legs swinging enticingly.
This woman certainly knew how to allure!
Ruan Shengyu didn’t even glance at Qiao Nuo. “Once we deal with Qiao Nuo, I guarantee you’ll never have to worry about money again!”
Qiao Nuo’s eyes widened. What was Ruan Shengyu planning?
Was she going to silence her?
To her surprise, Ni Yue laughed. “Ruan Shengyu, aren’t you being a bit too ruthless? Qiao Nuo has done nothing to you; why are you targeting her?”
"Is Ni Yue really speaking up for Qiao Nuo now? I never would have guessed!"
"You've been plotting against Qiao Nuo too, haven’t you? Otherwise, I wouldn't have fallen into your hands!"
Ni Yue nodded, indicating that the enemy of her enemy was her friend. Was she now on the same side as Ruan Shengyu?
"Then give me two hundred million. One hundred million as a hush fee, and the other one hundred million as payment for helping you deal with Qiao Nuo!"
"Two hundred million? Are you joking? I don’t have that much money!" Ruan Shengyu had earned quite a bit over the years, but she had also spent a lot. She hadn’t made any investments or financial plans, and pulling out two hundred million all at once would leave her broke!

Ni Yue whispered in Qiao Nuo's ear. "Or perhaps Jin Chengyan would take out two hundred million for Ruan Shengyu instead. What do you think your worth is in his eyes?"

That question truly stumped Qiao Nuo!
She meant nothing at all.
Not to mention asking Jin Chengyan to spend two hundred million to save her.
"Shut up—" Ruan Shengyu shouted angrily. She couldn't let Jin Chengyan know about this; otherwise, it would be the end for her and him!

As soon as Ni Yue finished speaking, two men entered from behind the door, aiming to capture Ruan Shengyu.

Ni Yue stepped forward and grasped Ruan Shengyu's chin. "Do you even realize that when Jin Chengyan sent someone to force me, that was also illegal?"
Qiao Nuo's mind exploded with realization.
It was Qiao Nuo who had asked A Shan to bring Ni Yue over that day.
She had said she would handle the first half, while Jin Chengyan would take care of the second half.
She thought that once Jin Chengyan dealt with Ni Yue, it would all be over. But Ni Yue had been forced?
Ruan Shengyu was also taken aback. Jin Chengyan had indeed said that no one should bully Ruan Shengyu. He had taught Qiao Nuo a lesson in his own way, but once he discovered the true culprit, he would surely retaliate against Ni Yue.

"Ni Yue, I..." Qiao Nuo called out her name, never expecting things to turn out this way.

At that moment, another man walked in from behind the door!
When Ruan Shengyu saw that man, her entire face turned frantic.
The man wore a black suit, his buzz cut accentuating a face twisted into a cruel smile.
"Big star, do you remember me?" Zhang Long said, his hands tucked into his pockets as he approached Ruan Shengyu step by step.
Qiao Nuo felt a wave of disgust wash over her as she saw him.
"Ni Yue, what do you want? Let me go! I'll give you any amount of money you want; just let me go!" Ruan Shengyu cried out frantically from her chair, but she was held down forcefully.
Suddenly, Qiao Nuo recalled the newspaper Ji Xining had shown her earlier, which featured a picture of that small-time thug. This man seemed to be one of them.
Although the newspaper obscured Ruan Shengyu's identity, Qiao Nuo knew that the person back then was indeed Ruan Shengyu. It made sense why she was so terrified of this man!
"You just want money; why bully two women? If you hurt us, you won't get a dime! The Jin Family and Yan Family will make sure you pay dearly!" Qiao Nuo spoke up suddenly.
Ruan Shengyu had completely lost her mind, unable to communicate rationally. If Qiao Nuo wanted to stay safe, she could only rely on herself.
Zhang Long shifted his gaze to Qiao Nuo, his eyes narrowing with malice.
Qiao Nuo felt uncomfortable under his stare, but showing weakness now would only reveal her helplessness. She lifted her chin defiantly.
"I am the Jin Family Young Mistress, and she is Yan San Shao's girlfriend. Do you really think that if anything happens to us, the two families will let you go? You might think you're just after money now, but in the end, you could lose your lives!" Qiao Nuo clenched her hands tightly together, only she knew how terrified she truly was. "The Jin Family and Yan Family have plenty of money. As long as we come out unharmed, you can leave without a scratch. You wouldn’t throw away your life over one woman’s revenge, would you? If I remember correctly, you just got out of prison not long ago; I’m sure you don’t want to go back!"
Her words struck a chord with Zhang Long.
He calculated for a moment; they indeed wanted money but also sought revenge for past grievances!
"Brother Long, this little brat has quite the mouth; don’t listen to her!" Ni Yue interjected, stepping in front of Qiao Nuo and trying to curry favor with Zhang Long.
Unexpectedly, Zhang Long swatted her aside with a single motion.
"Bring this woman here and have her call Jin Chengyan!"
“Miss, something's wrong! Young Madam isn't home, and she didn't take her phone with her. I asked the people at the company, and they said she didn't go to work today! Young Madam rarely leaves without a word!” A Shan rushed in from outside, a chill surrounding him.
Jin Mengli frowned. “No wonder! When Qiao Nuo called me earlier, she said to save her! Could something have happened?”
It was indeed a troublesome time; Jin Chengyan had just been injured, and now Qiao Nuo was missing.
“Don't worry, I've already sent people out to look for her. Both our connections in the underworld are on it!”

Speaking of Ruan Shengyu made Jin Mengli even angrier.

When Jin Chengyan woke up just after six o'clock, a nurse came in to change his IV drip.
“Where’s A Shan?” Jin Chengyan hadn’t seen A Shan all day and was worried that the kid might have gone to confront Yan Beiting over yesterday's incident.
A Shan would do anything for the Jin Family.
“A Shan just stepped out.”
“He came by?”
“Yes, many people came to see Jin Shao, but the lady didn’t let them in, fearing it would disturb your rest.”
Jin Chengyan nodded and then asked, "Is it my mother, or... Qiao Nuo?" He realized that saying her name now made his throat feel dry.
"It’s your mother. Young Madam hasn’t come by today."
Jin Chengyan thought about it; after parting on bad terms with Qiao Nuo yesterday, he turned to find Yan Beiting. If Qiao Nuo were to come now, it would truly be too unfair for her!
"Um... could you bring me my phone?"
"Well..." The nurse hesitated. In truth, her previous words were unnecessary; if it weren't for Jin Chengyan's undeniable charm, she wouldn't have answered him so readily.
Jin Chengyan sensed something was off. Today felt particularly quiet; even Qi Ziluo hadn't come in. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.
"Then let me use your phone," Jin Chengyan said in his deep voice.
He was truly someone one couldn’t refuse. The nurse immediately took her phone out from her uniform and handed it to him.
Of course, he couldn't call A Shan; that guy was half-minded about Jin Zhongshu.
Jin Chengyan dialed Alice.
"Sorry, please do not call regarding Mr. Jin's matters. We have no comment. Thank you."
"Alice, it's me," Jin Chengyan interrupted her in a low tone.
Alice gasped in surprise, "Jin... Mr. Jin?"
"Yes, what’s going on? What do you mean no comment?" Jin Chengyan was lying in the hospital bed, completely unaware of what was happening outside.
"Well, Mr. Jin, perhaps we should wait until you’re better to discuss this!"
"You know I’m injured?" Jin Chengyan was surprised. There were times he didn’t go to the office and even Alice didn’t know where he was, yet she knew he was hurt.
"Everyone in Qin Cheng knows..." So Jin Chengyan's phone was about to explode with calls today!
After listening to Alice briefly recount what happened today, he realized that everyone in the city already knew about the incident between him and Yan Beiting from yesterday!

The name suddenly popped into Jin Chengyan's mind.
