This is the face of the royal family. Elena could only nod. After William was taken away, the crowd was also dispersed in a haphazard manner.
Elena silently watched as the bustling ambulance left the horse racing track, unable to even ask why they had arrived so promptly. It was all her fault. She felt immense guilt.
Especially when she saw William's fainting look without anger. She clearly remembered that William's reins were being pulled hard by someone. "Osiris, are you crazy? For the sake of winning, you even use such dirty tricks. You don't even want the dignity of a man? I thought you would at least be a man, but I didn't expect you to be worse than a man!"
Elena's accusation is so sincere, she cannot accept that this man would use the method of pulling the reins to drag William off the horse.
Osiris did not refute a word, he just hung his head pale.
Even though he suffered such a serious accusation.
When he is silent, no one knows what he is thinking.
"What nonsense are you talking about, Aussie would never do such a thing," Amanda crouched by Osiris's side, looking at Elena with a face of disbelief at her sudden accusation.
"Can't you see? He's hurt too! Are you blaming him for not fainting like that man? You're a cruel woman."
"Enough," Osiris suddenly hoarsely roared. Elena pursed her lips, silently watching him, expecting him to defend himself, but he said nothing.
"You are so disappointing."
After a long while, Elena left with these words.
Blood seeped from Osiris's sleeve, but he just glanced in the direction of Elena leaving and stood up in silence.
"Xilin, you don't need to make things difficult for Elena."
After William woke up from the hospital bed, he found several messages from Elena.
He wanted to reply to the message, but his phone was taken away by Xilin first.
"Your Highness, your top priority now is to heal your leg injury."
Xilin has always been his steward, and William knows that everything he does is for his own good, but he can't help feeling a little annoyed.
"This is not her fault."
"But Your Highness, don't forget, if it weren't for her, you wouldn't have been injured. You are the hope of our Country F, your time is so precious, it shouldn't be wasted in a place like this."
Xilin stubbornly emphasized his special status.
William is very clear about his responsibilities, but when he thinks of Elena being worried and afraid, he softens. "Elena is innocent." When Elena finally found out which hospital William was in, she bought a bouquet of flowers.
The weather is hot, probably the hottest day of the week.
Elena looked down at the flowers in her hand and felt that the petals seemed a little wilted.
"Excuse me, which room is William Gack in?"
William Gack, of course, is a fake name.
"302."
The nurse pushed out a registration book. "Before visiting the patient, please sign in first."
"Okay."
GabrielPrivate hospital, in front of room 302.
ElenaTake a deep breath and give yourself some encouragement.
What should she say first? Hello, or I'm sorry?
Elena hasn't decided yet.
The door opened, and the butler Xilin came out.
The graying hair revealed his age to the world. When he saw Elena, he clearly paused for a moment, but that surprise was quickly replaced by a not-so-subtle displeasure. Elena knew that he probably didn't like her. The reason, she and Xilin both knew all too well.
"I'm here to see William... Your Highness." Under Xilin's gaze, she forcefully added the title.
"Elena?"
From the not fully open hospital room door, William's weak voice came through.
"Go in."
Xilin made room and reminded Elena as she approached, "Mind your words, don't make things difficult for His Highness."
Elena nodded obediently.
Obviously, her arrival made William very happy. Even though he looks quite disheveled now, with his left foot in a cast, hanging high, and the whole person sitting on the hospital bed, his usually well-groomed and shiny hair is now obediently conforming to the shape of his head. He looks a bit more obedient than his usual elegant style.
"Where else are you hurt?" Elena asked anxiously, looking away from his casted leg. Falling off a horse must have caused serious injuries.
"You've seen everything," William smiled casually, "It just looks scary, it's not that serious."
"Oh."
Elena handed the bouquet of flowers in his direction.
"I don't know what you like, so I bought a bunch of carnations to wish you a speedy recovery." She found an empty water bottle, inserted the flowers, and noticed that William had been watching her the whole time. She awkwardly squeezed out a smile. "Come over and talk to me," William said, not taking his eyes off her, motioning for Elena to sit beside him.
It's been a few days, and she looks a bit thinner.
"It's not your fault."
As soon as Elena sat down, William said seriously.
