Su Mingxian returned the money stolen by the Yellow-Clothed Thief to its owner and, after receiving a heartfelt expression of gratitude, made her way back to the stall.
At that moment, Wang Daguo was in a state of panic. "Sister Xian, why did you rush out without saying a word? This is a train station; what if—"
However, Su Mingxian completely ignored him. "How much have we made today? Hand it over."
"Huh?" Wang Daguo was momentarily taken aback but still handed over his wallet. He watched in astonishment as she began counting the money. "Sister Xian, what happened?"
Su Mingxian remained silent. After taking most of the money, she shoved the now-empty wallet back into his hands. "Xiao Wang, I'm leaving this with you for now. I have something to take care of and might be back late."
With that, she walked away, leaving Wang Daguo utterly confused.
He hadn’t even had the chance to ask what was going on before she left!
Looking up, he spotted a familiar figure not far away. "Isn't that the thief? Why is Sister Xian going after him?"
Wang Daguo immediately felt uneasy. Even if that thief looked decent, he was still a thief! But before he could call her back, a customer approached.
"I'll have a serving of Liangpi, extra spicy and extra vinegar—more is better!"
Wang Daguo felt frustrated. "Why don’t you just choke on it?"
When he looked up again, he was surprised to see Hou Tian standing there. "What are you doing back here?"
Hou Tian wore a displeased expression. "What’s wrong? Are you picky about your customers now?"
Wang Daguo thought to himself, What kind of nonsense is that?
Ignoring him, Hou Tian looked around, searching for a while but failing to find anyone. "Where's Sister Xiao Xian?"
Wang Daguo felt a pang of annoyance. As a man himself, he understood exactly what Hou Tian was after.
So he decided to hit back hard, adding plenty of spice to his words as he shoved a serving of Liangpi into Hou Tian's hands. "Sister Xiao Xian? Are you even thinking straight? I’ll have you know she’s already married. You should stop harboring such thoughts."
Hou Tian was taken aback. "Married?"
"Is there any doubt about it? You might as well give up on that idea," Wang Daguo said with a look that suggested he was looking out for Hou Tian's best interests before moving on to serve the next customer.
Upon hearing this news, Hou Tian felt his heart sink. He returned to the office in a daze, looking utterly dejected.
At that moment, Shen Chi was focused on reviewing some documents, while Fang Dahai looked on with curiosity. "What happened? You were all fired up yesterday, and today you look like a wilted eggplant."
Hou Tian absentmindedly took a bite of the heavily seasoned Liangpi from Wang Daguo, and the strong flavor hit him hard.
"That son of a—"
Fang Dahai pinched his nose and waved his hand in front of his face. "Dude, your taste is pretty intense. Did you dump an entire jar of vinegar in here? With that look on your face, you’re not telling me you’ve been dumped, are you?"
"I—" Hou Tian's face turned red with frustration. "I didn't have a breakup! Hmph, that bastard Wang must have done it on purpose, deliberately saying Sister Xiao Xian got married. Ugh, that little brat is definitely trying to get her attention."
"Oh, looks like you've encountered a rival in love," Fang Dahai said, feigning enlightenment. He then shook his head and added, "Monkey, you can't let this slide. You have to strike first, you know?"
Fang Dahai spoke with the air of someone who had been through it all, while Shen Chi suddenly raised his head at the mention of Sister Xiao Xian.
"Brother Chi Zi, what did you say?" Fang Dahai turned to ask.
"Nothing," Shen Chi replied expressionlessly before quickly changing the subject. "Is this the complete list from the Mechanical Factory?"

Shen Chi was tirelessly searching for people and had no time to pay attention to Hou Tian.
Feeling unsatisfied, Hou Tian decided to clarify things and ran over to the stall to stare down Wang Daguo.
Meanwhile, Su Mingxian was currently in the hospital ward.
