"So many people..."
After all, the opponents were numerous, and facing so many warriors attacking him, Lin Weixing felt a bit scared and almost loosened his fists, standing there in a daze, unsure of what to do.
"‘Train soldiers for a thousand days, use them for an hour,’ my life... I leave it to you!" Li Yue trembled in fear, tightly hiding behind Lin Weixing. But others had blocked their escape route; what good was hiding?
Lin Weixing wiped the cold sweat from his brow and said uncertainly, "I'll do my best."
He was just an elementary school physical education teacher. In front of the children, everyone would marvel at his casual punches, but now it was a matter of real life and death! Moreover, he was still in his ordinary human form and had no idea how to summon his feralization true self because every time feralization happened, it was a sudden explosion.
What was worse was that Lin Weixing did not know how strong his healing ability was. If so many knives stabbed into his body at once, he might actually die.
"Hurry up, hurry up," Lin Weixing silently prayed as he shrank back on his toes.
"Go!" Tang Yongli commanded, looking at the two surrounded with a face full of resentment.
Soon, one warrior charged forward first, raising his machete and swinging it sideways! The speed was as fast as lightning!
How could an ordinary person like Lin Weixing dodge? If he ran away, he feared the blade would hit his boss; if he didn't run, he would take the blow head-on. Lin Weixing swallowed hard and decided to stay still, raising his arm to forcibly block the strike!
Seeing Lin Weixing's foolish reaction with no fighting skills whatsoever, the warrior surprisingly retracted his blade and delivered an uppercut followed by a high kick that split Lin Weixing's jaw! Before Lin Weixing even opened his eyes after being knocked down, the warrior had already pulled out a small throwing knife and swiftly stabbed it into Lin Weixing's chest!
"Lin!" Li Yue panicked—was Lin Weixing dead? Wouldn't that mean she was completely doomed?
The warrior thought it was all over and stood up, glaring viciously at Li Yue.
"Hey."
In that instant, everyone present was stunned. They turned to look in the direction of the voice; indeed, it was none other than Lin Weixing, who lay on the ground and whom they believed had been killed by a stab!
"I'm just saying, you shouldn't stab and leave; you should twist it a bit more like this." Lin Weixing stood up nonchalantly, gripping the knife embedded in his chest and deliberately twisting it.
"What?!" Everyone was shocked—this spot clearly indicated the heart!
"What the hell?!" The warrior exclaimed, immediately realizing that this guy before him was not simple.
"Ha, have you heard of Kamehameha?" Lin Weixing said as he pulled out the throwing knife and stepped forward with a palm strike that sent the warrior flying!
"This..." Tang Yongli was also stunned for several seconds. Once he came to his senses, he immediately shouted, "Everyone attack together; let's take this guy down first! Damn it, let's see how many blades you can take!"
The warriors charged forward in response to the command, drawing their daggers and surrounding the two from all directions!
"It's over; what do we do?" A terrified Li Yue began to scream as she hurriedly grabbed Lin Weixing's clothing hem while inexplicably dripping a few drops of liquid from her pant leg.
Tang Yongli ordered them to kill him first; Lin Weixing had indeed attracted their hatred for the boss. Without giving him time to react, Lin Weixing abandoned his boss and charged toward an enemy! With immense brute force, he knocked down this warrior but soon felt himself being grabbed by countless hands and dragged back into the crowd!
"Ugh!" Just thrown to the ground and trying to get up, Lin Weixing was immediately stomped on by several people. Then countless stinging pains erupted across his body as the warriors frantically slashed, stabbed, and hacked at him with their daggers. Lin Weixing protected his face with his arms while rage surged from deep within him like vines climbing up to his mouth. Taking advantage of a moment when the enemies loosened their grip, he turned around and endured the pain of being stabbed in the back.
"And you too, you filthy bastard."
Seeing Lin Weixing pinned down on the ground taking blows, Tang Yongli couldn't believe this guy could still stand up. He picked up a brick from the ground and walked toward Li Yue, who sat on the ground in fear.
"Don't come over here!" Li Yue looked terrified at Tang Yongli holding the brick. "I have poisoned needles!"
"Then why don't you take them out?" Tang Yongli sneered. He knew she couldn't because the waitress he bribed had already taken her launching bamboo sticks away.
"In your next life, don't come here again." Tang Yongli raised the brick with one hand and was about to smash it down...
"Ugh! Ah—"
In an instant, a painful scream erupted from the center of the warriors' beating. All of them were startled and instinctively stopped attacking while beginning to retreat.
"Huh?"
Li Yue and Tang Yongli also looked over there. Under everyone's fearful gaze, Lin Weixing slowly stood up as two massive bone spikes gradually grew from his arms, hanging limply at his sides...
Moreover, his hands were transforming into incredibly sharp claws!
In this instance of feralization, Lin Weixing underwent new changes. His body had grown significantly larger; his clothes had ripped apart into a web-like pattern. Standing upright now over two meters tall, his red eyes revealed a chilling ferocity!
After Level Two feralization, Lin Weixing opened his claws; five sharp fingers swayed slightly as he surveyed the surrounding enemies with blood-red eyes.
In an instant, prey seemed to have turned into hunters.
"Go on, what are you hesitating for!" Tang Yongli shouted, waving his hand. He couldn't believe that so many people couldn't take him down.
But Li Yue looked at Lin Weixing in fear. Now that he realized what kind of monster he had summoned, he crouched down and began to back away step by step.
"I advise you to think carefully while I still have a shred of sanity left." Lin Weixing's voice had changed; even these calm words sent chills down people's spines.
But there was no choice. Since the boss had given the order, how could they not act? The group of warriors shouted to bolster their courage and rushed forward with their swords!
"Okay."
Xie Ren roared and leaped high into the air! The warriors had just formed a circle on the ground when they sensed danger and hurriedly jumped back.
But it was too late.
"Boom!"
Lin Weixing landed heavily, and a powerful shockwave erupted from the massive crater created by his fall.
This move, known as "Falling from Heaven," was like a minibus crashing down from the twentieth floor, its force so strong that even the farthest Li Yue fell back onto the ground! The warriors, dazed and disoriented, struggled to get up, but Lin Weixing was already striding forward, his bone spikes piercing one after another...
In an instant, screams echoed through the narrow alley. Halfway through the slaughter, several warriors managed to stand up and retreated in terror. Xie Ren gave them no chance to survive; he lunged at them, taking one down with each claw strike. Soon, the ground was littered with corpses.
At this point, Tang Yongli was completely stunned—my warriors have been wiped out just like that?
Now only Tang Yongli remained. He trembled as he dragged his weak legs backward.
"So you want to dismember me, huh?" Xie Ren didn't rush to chase him; he let Tang Yongli run frantically for dozens of meters before he started running himself. He leaped into the air and landed behind Tang Yongli, grabbing him and throwing him to the ground.
"Now let's see who gets dismembered." With that, Xie Ren gripped Tang Yongli's shoulders...
"Sizzle!"
In the early morning fog, an elderly man out for a jog approached a trash bin in the alley and caught a whiff of a nauseating smell. He quickly reported it to the neighborhood management staff, suspecting someone had thrown away spoiled pork. However, when they cleared out the trash can... they discovered a pair of bloody arms and legs!
These were human body parts! Several management personnel struggled to suppress their nausea while reporting the case to the police.
Such a dismemberment case would have a severely negative impact on society. The police headquarters in X City quickly took over the investigation and arrived at the scene only to find much more—over twenty bodies lay deeper in the alley! One corpse was particularly gruesome; both arms and legs were missing, leaving only a head still attached to its body.
The police conducted forensic tests on the body parts found in the trash can and confirmed they belonged to the same person. The victim's name was Tang Yongli. Beneath Tang Yongli's corpse, they found two blood-stained characters: Xie Ren.
"Xie Ren again!"
This terrifying nickname reappeared in public view; he was now linked to two major murder cases consecutively.
The entire X City was in panic, with citizens demanding that the police capture the murderer as soon as possible.
Soon after, D City Police Department dispatched Officer Jiao An and a team of officers to assist with the investigation in X City.
"Little Qiao, make sure you don't let slip that you're part of the Superhero Alliance," General Jiang reminded Jiao An again upon hearing she would be transferred.
"Thirty plus twenty..." As they awaited Jiao An's team’s arrival, a secretary frowned and leaned closer to the Director of X City's highest police bureau. "At least fifty lives have vanished under this Executioner named Xie Ren."
"Miss Jiao An, how long do you think it will take us to capture this murderer named Xie Ren?"
"What do you know about this killer? Can you tell us?"
Upon arriving at E City Police Department, a group of reporters surrounded them, hoping for answers from D City Police. However, Jiao An ignored them completely and led her officers silently through the crowd into E City Police Department.
They could not give the public an explanation without bringing Lin Weixing to justice. Words of comfort meant nothing compared to facts; this was Jiao An's consistent approach.
"Now this killer named Xie Ren is infamous," said the Director of E City Police Department as he sat in his office chair. "If we don't capture him soon, I fear we will lose public trust entirely. I cannot afford that."
"This isn't just about reputation; failing to catch him is an affront to our duty and irresponsibility towards public safety."
Jiao An countered as she set down her pen and asked, "Director, after all this time investigating, do we have any results?"
The Director's secretary gently placed a folder in front of Jiao An and opened it. "We have preliminarily confirmed that this appears to be a confrontation between gangs. Those masked warriors and the dismembered individual all bore identical markings. The victims who were killed by flying knives also had unique but uniform tattoos on their arms."
Jiao An flipped through the documents and suddenly said: "Petrus Casino."
"You know?!" The Director exclaimed in surprise.
"When I was Miss E City during my pageant days, there was a man named Li Yue who pursued me. We were old acquaintances from high school. When I mentioned I would go to E City, he left me his shop address and logo before I left." Jiao An recalled somewhat sadly. "When I actually went there later on, I discovered it was a casino. As an Armed Police officer at that time, I hesitated about whether or not to report it up the chain since it would ruin his business. But later on when I got transferred to City S's base for military service, I never thought about him again."
“Li Yue……” The Director pondered for a moment before asking, “Your high school classmate? Ended up becoming a gang leader? Why?”
Jiao An remained silent, her hands clasped under her chin. She wished she could say that Li Yue was actually a decent person, just greedy, using his cleverness to skirt the law. It was precisely because of this that Jiao An had always restrained her feelings and never accepted Li Yue's fervent pursuit. Now, as she approached thirty, her sharpshooting skills had become impeccable, but the knot in her heart remained forever tied to her faded youth.
Late last night, around eleven o'clock, Lin Weixing and Li Yue returned to Petrus Casino. Outside, the staff and thugs of Petrus Casino gathered to welcome their return. News traveled fast in the black market; what happened last night had shaken the entire underworld of X City.
“Boss, you won, right? What about the others?”
Li Yue looked somewhat pale as he replied, “They were ambushed and killed. Thankfully, Lin Weixing was there; otherwise, you wouldn’t see me again.” Some people immediately surrounded Lin Weixing, praising him as a loyal and fearless warrior.
Lin Weixing merely smiled and patted his tattered clothes before entering the casino with Boss Li.
Halfway through, at the center of the casino, Lin Weixing suddenly called out to Boss Li, saying, “Boss, come closer; I have a secret to tell you.”
Feeling uneasy, Li Yue glanced at Lin Weixing, but leaned in anyway. Lin Weixing asked him a question: “Do you know what the King of Hell looks like?”
“Um…” Li Yue felt Lin Weixing grip his neck. With his last breath, he gasped, “What are you doing—”
Before he could finish his sentence, there was a sharp crack! His neck was gently snapped by Lin Weixing.
“Oh my God!”
“What happened?”
Everyone stood frozen in shock, staring at Lin Weixing in panic.
“I hereby announce that I am the boss here now. No one has any objections, right?” Lin Weixing turned around and looked down at the crowd.
Desiring Li Yue's position was secondary; primarily, besides himself, Li Yue was the only one who had survived from last night’s incident. Everything about his own transformation into a feral state had been witnessed by Li Yue.
Lin Weixing didn’t want anyone holding onto any loose ends regarding him. For him, killing Li Yue was as easy as pie; it was merely a matter of timing.
Looking around at the stunned crowd, he said, “You all must have heard about yesterday's events. This casino is no longer safe; the police will find us soon. I need a team of enforcers. The reason I killed Li Yue is that I found him too incompetent. Don’t think this is sudden; I’ve been planning this for a long time. Here, only the strong deserve to survive.”
“Anyone interested in joining my team can come to my office; I'll be waiting for you.”
With that, Lin Weixing turned and walked toward the office, dragging away Li Yue’s lifeless body.
