Huangpu River's eyes sparkled with a challenging glint as he pressed on, "Sister Xian can only be mine. I'm the one she likes the most. Don't think that just because she walks with you, you've won. Hmph, is it just because you have a bit of money? Trying to act cool? Come on, Uncle, that's so out of style now. Do you see this face? Sister Xian likes me just the way I am—fresh and vibrant."
"Uncle?" Shen Chi's expression darkened immediately. He flicked away his cigarette butt, bent down, and grabbed Huangpu River by the collar. Suddenly, Huangpu River screamed, "Help! Sister Xian, help!"
Huangpu River shouted desperately, but Su Mingxian, who was far away, couldn't see what was happening. All she noticed was Shen Chi's aggressive posture, and she exclaimed, "Shen Chi, stop!"
She rushed over quickly, her face pale as she said, "Shen Chi, didn't I make myself clear? Why are you still hitting people?"
Shen Chi squinted at her. "Hitting people?"
He glanced at Huangpu River, who was now protected by Su Mingxian and appeared to be greatly frightened. His gaze turned icy.
Fang Dahai, who had been watching the whole scene unfold, gaped in shock. "Wow, it can go like this?"
He considered himself quite skilled with women, but today he felt like he had opened his eyes to a whole new world.
It was impressive—truly impressive. In pursuit of a woman to this extent left Fang Dahai with nothing but admiration.
He then turned to look at the frost-like Shen Chi and gave him a sympathetic glance. "Brother, good luck to you."

Shen Chi was not one to explain himself. After seeing through Huangpu River's schemes, he felt nothing but disgust. He pushed Huangpu River away forcefully, causing him to nearly fall to the ground.
With a cold expression, he tugged at his collar with his distinctly knuckled fingers, unfastening a button to reveal a seductive collarbone. His demeanor remained icy, and his gaze sharp as ever. "Are you leaving or not?"
Su Mingxian had been staring at him intently, fully aware of how unappealing this series of actions was. She even caught sight of the scar beneath his collarbone, which not only failed to detract from his attractiveness but added an air of mystery.
His movements were both stylish and alluring, leaving her dry-mouthed and unable to resist swallowing hard.
However, upon meeting Shen Chi's cold eyes, she snapped back to reality, her face flushing slightly with embarrassment as she stammered, "Ahem, wait, just a moment."
With that, she grabbed Huangpu River from behind and spun around, dragging him away.
Caught off guard, Huangpu River nearly stumbled over himself and hurriedly exclaimed, "Sister Xian, be gentle—"
"Shut up," Su Mingxian shot back with an icy glare. "How dare you show your face? You’ve caused me so much trouble."
Huangpu River quickly leaned closer to her, speaking cautiously, "I’m sorry, Sister Xian. I realize my mistake. I shouldn’t have said those things yesterday; I was just angry. I came today to apologize to you and Brother-in-law, but I didn’t expect Brother-in-law to hold such a grudge against me. He tried to hit me right away! Look at my knee; it’s all scraped up."
His pitiful expression left Su Mingxian speechless. "As long as you know your mistake, think before you speak next time."
Huangpu River nodded vigorously like a dutiful wife. "I understand! Thankfully you’re looking out for me, or my face would be ruined by now."
He touched his own face with a pair of sentimental peach blossom eyes full of affection. But at that moment, Su Mingxian's mind was still occupied with the scene from earlier involving Shen Chi, leaving her oblivious to Huangpu River's antics.
