Elena pushed the computer aside, tidied up her expression in the mirror, and then opened the door.
Orly looked like she was in a bad mood, looking rather downcast. Without waiting for Elena to ask, she blurted out.
"I broke up with Jaden."
Elena was stunned for a moment, then felt a wet drop on the back of her hand.
The door was not closed, just slightly ajar. Elena lightly patted Orly's back, watching her sobbing in a dejected manner, and sighed.
"It looks like you still quite like him."
Orly sniffed, "A little bit. I met him the day Gert rejected me, but I didn't know he was Osiris' friend. If I had known, I definitely wouldn't have—"
"Did he agree?" Elena asked, rubbing her hair.
Orly won't lie to her, even though it hurts inside, she still honestly shook her head.
"He said to separate for a few days to calm down."
"Orly." Elena gently pushed Orly away, allowing her tearful eyes to clearly see her own gray eyes.
"I hope you are happy. Just like you, it doesn't matter to me who Jaden is friends with. What's important is who is in the heart of my good girlfriends."
"But his relationship with Osiris—"
"So what? Just because I divorced him, does that mean I have to cut off all ties with everything related to him in the world?" Elena shook her head helplessly. "I am more important than him."
"My life is more important than his existence."
There was a faint light shining in the gray eyes, instantly illuminating Orly's painful heart.
"Go see Jaden and tell him your true feelings. If this person is worth your affection, I am willing to accept that he is Jaden."
Orly stared at Elena for a while, then chuckled and snuggled into Elena's arms like a little bear.
"You, saying all these pretty words," she said, laughing through her tears.
"Ouch, my old back can't take another round of this."
A small elderly woman with a flower-adorned round hat appeared at the entrance of Wuthering manor.
The driver responsible for taking her wore a respectful expression, but she impatiently waved him away.
"Alright, you can go back. I can walk by myself."
It seemed like she had come without her family's knowledge. She walked unsteadily, appearing frail but spirited.
crutch Dongdong slammed hard on the door a few times, and the door opened a crack, followed by Arthur's exclamation. Today is Monday, Osiris promised he would come back early and take Amanda for a recheck. If possible, Amanda hopes she doesn't have to go to the hospital to see that terrifying Jason Parry.
But this is just her beautiful fantasy.
When Arthur exclaimed, she was leaning unhappily against the unoccupied bridal chamber, wanting to find an excuse to bring up the matter of moving again.
"Miss Amanda, the master wants us to clean the room again."
The servant was blocked at the door, speaking in a very submissive tone, but still managed to annoy her.
"What are you cleaning? No one is living here."
She glared at the servant in annoyance, then heard Arthur's exclamation, and both she and the servant looked in the direction downstairs.
"Go take a look and see what's going on," she impatiently directed the servant, assuming the posture of a mistress. The furnishings in the room seemed unchanged, but the more it stayed that way, the more Amanda wanted to destroy the arrangement in the room.
She didn't want to keep Elena's presence in this mansion.
"Why did it take so long?"
The servant didn't come back, Amanda waited for a while, and walked downstairs unhappily while asking.
When she saw the old lady at the door, her sharp expression immediately changed.
"Mrs. Igo! Why did you come? And Aussie, why didn't you tell me?" Amanda had the privilege of meeting this old lady a few times before and knew that Osiris held her in high regard, so she naturally dared not neglect her.
But the old lady just gave her a strange look, then hobbled past her with her crutch, peering curiously into the deeper area.
"Where's Elena? Where did my good daughter-in-law go?"
Arthur quickly glanced at Amanda, who suppressed her annoyance and walked a few steps toward the old lady with a smile on her face.
"Are you looking for Elena?" The old lady seemed to notice her only then, nodded, and then frowned. "And Aussie? Why did he let a stranger come out to greet me?" But then she thought of something and smiled slightly. "Or perhaps he has finally come to his senses and knows how to take care of Elena?"
Completely ignored, Amanda's anger has reached its peak.
If it weren't for Osiris showing special favor to the old lady, Amanda would have thrown the person out long ago.
"Hehe, old lady, don't you know? Aussie has already divorced Elena."
She deliberately spoke as if she didn't care, with a faint smile on her face, as if she were a kind-hearted girl. But as soon as she said that, the old lady's expression changed immediately. "Nonsense! Arthur, where did this woman come from? Get her out of here! Aussie is getting more and more confused, daring to bring anyone into the house!"
