Document Officer Li Zuwei was always submissive when meeting others; everyone called him "Master Li." Yet, Su Han specifically sought him out. Not only that, but he immediately presented a banknote worth one thousand taels of silver.
"This... how can I accept this?" Li Zuwei stammered, having been in charge for over a year without ever receiving such a large sum, looking somewhat flustered.
Su Han remained very polite: "Master Li, you are responsible for organizing so many documents in the Royal Confidential Office; it must be quite exhausting. The three taels of gold I sent last time were truly insufficient."
"Captain Su is too kind, too kind," Li Zuwei replied softly. "That three taels of gold made my family so happy when I brought it home."
Su Han noticed that while speaking, Li Zuwei kept fiddling with a brush in his hand. This was a sign of distraction and indifference; it seemed this honest man might not be as straightforward as he appeared. Upon reflection, if he were truly an honest person, how could he survive in the Royal Confidential Office?
After chatting for a while, Li Zuwei suddenly stopped his movements: "Captain Su, you must have other matters to discuss during your visit."
Since he had been seen through, Su Han no longer concealed his intentions: "Master Li, let’s speak plainly. I would like to ask you to find some unfavorable information about someone in their files. Would this pose any risk for you?"
Li Zuwei smiled slyly. "If you want me to tamper with the records, I wouldn't dare. That would be a crime punishable by death. But to do what you say isn't difficult at all. After all, who in this world has a completely clean record?"
Su Han suddenly thought of his own records. Having traveled to this era without fully understanding his identity or family situation, those records should contain all the information he needed, right?
Never mind, let's not dwell on that for now. " master Li, do you have any difficulties at home?"
"Of course, who doesn't have their own troubles?" Li Zuwei replied leisurely. "I want to renovate my ancestral home and estimate it will require about Three Thousand Taels of Silver."

"Thank you for your hard work, master Li."
Su Han stood up to take his leave.
Well, everything that needed to be done has been done, and everyone that needed to be found has been found.
