Rao Jie raised an eyebrow. "Who’s taking care of whom?"
"Yes, yes, you have a point," Wu Rong continued to complain. "I don’t ask for much; you're my rare obsession. Why should I let go? I wish I could be with you every moment. Moving out and living apart is absolutely out of the question. But I also don’t want to argue with you; I want you to be happy, not put you in a difficult position. I want to see you smile at me because I like that, so..."
Rao Jie chuckled softly. "So you plan to be generous this once and not fuss about it?"
Wu Rong lifted his head defiantly. "No, since everyone thinks only married people can live together, and since everyone believes that... then let’s just get married."
Rao Jie was taken aback, wanting to refute him helplessly. After all, Wu Rong had brought up this topic many times before. But it felt unreal to her; it was all happening too fast—they had only been dating for a few months.
She hadn’t thought that far ahead.
"Actually, we—"
Wu Rong didn’t give her a chance to argue this time; he spoke directly, "Tomorrow morning, I'll pick you up. Bring your ID and your Household Registration Book downstairs. Dress nicely; there’s only one photo for the marriage certificate."
Now Rao Jie was truly stunned.

"And any decision related to you has taken longer than any other decision I've made. The decision to marry you was made when I decided to date you; it took me days to think it through. I want to be with you—whether as boyfriend and girlfriend or future spouses—it’s only you."
"So dating for me is like being married already. It’s not what you call impulsive or sudden."
"It’s something I’ve long decided; I’ve just been waiting for your answer."
Rao Jie was shocked by Wu Rong's words.
Her heart raced, palms sweating, but the dazzling Wu Rong before her was too charming for her to utter any words of refusal.
It turned out that when Wu Rong truly fell in love with someone, he had already decided to spend his life with her. Even if there were setbacks or conflicts needing adjustment, he didn’t care; he was resolute.
