I turned on the flashlight feature of my phone, the pale beam illuminating the underground space. 0

The sight before me made me gasp in horror. 0

This was a vast basement, its walls lined with glass cabinets. Each cabinet displayed neatly arranged glass jars, each filled with various eyeballs. Some pupils were brown, others blue, glinting with an eerie sheen under the light of my phone. 0

But the most terrifying sight was the altar in the center. 0

On the altar sat a bronze cauldron, filled to the brim with a dark red liquid. Surrounding the cauldron were seven crystal bowls, each containing a translucent lychee. These lychees were much larger than ordinary ones, their skins appearing semi-transparent, allowing me to faintly see the eyeballs inside slowly rotating. 0

My flashlight beam swept across the wall behind the altar, where a piece of yellowed parchment was affixed. 0

The parchment was covered in intricate runes, with a massive eye symbol in the center. Below the symbol, written in cinnabar, were several lines of small text: 0
"An eye for an eye, a life for a life. Seven sacred fruits can grant eternal life. Take the eyes of the living and seal them with secret methods; consuming them can extend one's lifespan by a decade." 0

My stomach churned violently. 0

So this was Grandma's secret to eternal youth—through some evil ritual, she turned the eyes of the living into special lychees that could grant her longevity when consumed. 0

Suddenly, I noticed a glass cabinet beside the altar. 0

Inside was an exquisite sandalwood box, engraved with the words "Premium." Trembling, I opened the box to find seven crystal-clear lychees neatly arranged within. 0

These lychees were different from the others; their skins were almost completely transparent, revealing the eyeballs inside slowly turning. The most horrifying part was that when I leaned closer, those eyeballs all turned to face me. 0

"Beautiful, isn't it?" 0

Grandma's voice echoed from behind me. I spun around abruptly to see her standing at the staircase, holding a pair of scissors stained with blood. 0

"These are all top-quality items," she said slowly as she approached. "By using a special method of preservation, they can maintain their vitality. Consuming them not only prolongs life but also allows one to see some... interesting things." 0

I noticed her eyes glimmering with an eerie light in the darkness. It was not the murky gaze of an ordinary old woman, but rather a chilling clarity. 0

"You're curious about their origins, aren't you?" Grandma caressed the Sandalwood Box. "The first one comes from a painter whose eyes can see colors invisible to ordinary people; the second one is from a musician whose eyes can discern the subtlest changes in notes..." 0

With each word she spoke, she moved closer, forcing me to retreat until my back pressed against the cold Glass Cabinet. 0

"And you," she suddenly grinned, "your eyes are quite special. I've been observing you for a long time; your pupils glow faintly in the dark, just like a cat's. Eyes like yours are perfect for making Special Lychee." 0

I felt cold sweat trickle down my back. Grandma lifted a pair of scissors, and in the dim light, I saw dried blood on the tips. 0

At that moment, I noticed that the dark red liquid in the Bronze Cauldron on the altar began to bubble. A horrifying thought flashed through my mind—could that liquid be...? 0

"That's right," Grandma seemed to read my thoughts. "That is Special Preservative Solution, made from the menstrual blood of young girls. Only this way can the eyes maintain their vitality." 0
