"No, I'm sorry."
He realized that his actions had crossed a line and immediately put it down.
"It's fine,"
I wiped my tears and smiled,
"I should be the one feeling embarrassed; I just got some wind in my eyes and got startled."
"No, it's okay. By the way, did junior sister come to me for something?"
I looked at him and shook my head,
"Not really, I just saw your name and thought it was someone I knew, so I wanted to meet you."
"Oh, I see,"
His gaze dimmed a little,
"Then we probably don't know each other."
"That's not true,"
I looked up at him,
pointing to the tissue in my hand,
"Thanks for that earlier; now we're friends."
"Hello, I'm Xue Ying, a freshman majoring in Broadcasting and Hosting Arts."
He stared at my outstretched hand for a few seconds, then smiled and shook it,
"I'm Ji Xuanmo, also a freshman in the same department. Nice to meet you."
And that's how we got acquainted.
Later on, I found out that in this world, I actually knew Ji Xuanmo; not only did I know him, but almost the entire high school was aware of my crush on him.
Only he didn't know.
Oh, now there's one more person who doesn't know—me.
So when I brought Xuanmo in front of Guo Guo, Guo Guo was stunned. If the situation hadn't been so inappropriate at the time, he probably would have made me confess right away.
Later on, of course, I managed to distract him with an excuse.
But rather than saying that my past was a dream, I prefer to believe that I have arrived in his time and space.
“Yingying, Yingying, did you buy sunscreen? We’re going to Military Training tomorrow, and I only brought one bottle of sunscreen! Ahhh! I don’t want to get as tanned as I did in high school!” A cacophony of wails erupted.
I glanced at my small suitcase. Sunscreen? I must have packed it.
Ten minutes later—
“Oh no! This morning, I woke up confused and saw a suitcase at the door. I just assumed it was Xue Ying’s luggage that she had packed the night before. Without checking, I took the suitcase to school, but how could this suitcase with just a few clothes and a bunch of snacks be so different from what I imagined?”
“Guo Guo~~”
The first person who came to my mind was her.
After telling my roommate, I hurriedly ran to the news agency dormitory.
Guo Guo looked at me in confusion. Once she understood the situation, she looked speechless.
“I was wondering why you only brought one suitcase this morning. I thought you finally stopped moving like you were relocating. Turns out you haven’t finished packing!”
Seeing my eager expression, she immediately stopped me.
“I only brought one bottle of sunscreen for myself. You should hurry to the convenience store while it’s still light out and buy some.”
“Ah~ Guo Guo, aren’t you coming with me?”
“Don’t give me that. It’s no use. I still haven’t finished packing my things here. You go by yourself for now. Oh, by the way, I contacted someone for you; he should be waiting downstairs now. Don’t let me down~”
“Sigh, you maid,”
Before I could finish my sentence, she pushed me out.
I walked to the door and saw the boy waiting outside. After hesitating for two seconds, I approached him and greeted him.
“Ji Xuanmo, sorry to trouble you so late.”
He turned to look at me and smiled.
“It’s okay; I need to go to the supermarket to buy some things too.”
I sat behind him, gripping the back seat of the motorcycle tightly. It wasn't that I was scared; it was just that it was the first time in my life I had ever ridden on a motorcycle. Who would have thought that such a refined and elegant young man would use a big motorcycle as his mode of transportation? I wanted to hug him directly, but it wasn't the right time yet—I needed to be a bit more reserved.
Finally, we arrived at the supermarket. As I got off the bike, I almost lost my balance, but he helped steady me. I looked at him as he held onto my arm, and just as I was about to say something, he shyly withdrew his hand. He was really so innocent.
Inside, I was screaming internally while trying to maintain my composure on the outside.
I watched his back and couldn't help but question whether this was all just a dream, but it didn't matter; at least in this moment, I was very happy. However, I had figured out that people can be quite double-standard. After buying sunscreen, I moved on to get some snacks and daily necessities. When I saw fruit wine, I immediately froze in place. The thing is, everyone who knows me is aware that I'm a bit of a drunkard—both inexperienced and fond of drinking.
However, before I could reach for it, another hand grabbed it first. "Guo Lifang," he said. "Not bad; Yingying is quite the little drinker too."
I looked up at the boy who had taken my drink, and the words I wanted to say got stuck in my throat. "Yingying?" That didn't sound right; someone who had just met me wouldn't call me that. "Who are you?"
