After Lin Ran left, Yan Qing raised an eyebrow slightly, her sharp gaze fixed on Jiang Ming. "As an Ability User, what Psychic Ability do you possess? Is it of the animal type, plant type, or another category?"
Jiang Ming looked a bit embarrassed, scratching the back of his head as he replied, "I'm really sorry; I just found out you work here. It seems we have quite a connection."
Yan Qing's brow arched slightly before she turned away. "That's not particularly coincidental. Are you familiar with the selection exam for the A-Level Ability Team?"
Jiang Ming smiled and answered, "Not really. I've been living in the mountains, so I know nothing about these Ability User exams and selections. However, I am a White Tiger Ability User, and I've already been rated as S Level by the district. I believe passing this exam with you shouldn't be too difficult."
Yan Qing gasped softly, her eyes instantly becoming serious as she scrutinized Jiang Ming from head to toe.
An S Level Ability User—there are no more than a hundred in the world. For Lin Ran to take on an S Level newcomer is quite bold.
"What brings you from Z Zone? As an S Level Ability User living in the mountains, as long as you don't harm humans, the authorities won't impose much control over you. It's so free up there; why come to the human world? Do you have some mission here?"
Jiang Ming paused for a moment, locking eyes with Yan Qing as he spoke deliberately. "When I was young, I was captured by some Illegal Elements for experimental modifications. I barely escaped but nearly lost my life due to excessive blood loss. It was my Benefactor who saved me. Before coming here, I received news that he is here, so I want to find him and repay his kindness."
A glimmer of amusement flashed in Yan Qing's eyes. "I didn't expect you to be so loyal. But is the information you received reliable? What if someone deliberately tricked you into leaving the mountains?" As she spoke, Yan Qing began tidying up her desk and adjusting the data on her electronic screen.
"I’m certain he’s here; that’s why I came. No one deceived me; I came willingly. If I don’t repay this kindness, I won’t find peace in my life."
Yan Qing found it amusing. "Are you like a little fox spirit from a myth coming to repay a favor? If your Benefactor knew your true identity, he might be shocked and regret saving you—getting entangled with a monster like you. Moreover, once you enter our research institute, you can’t get too close to human friends to avoid bringing them disaster. Are you aware of this?"
Jiang Ming hurriedly replied, "I understand; I don't have many human friends. Most of my other friends live in the mountains; they are very gentle and won't harm humans."
"Alright, alright, you need to come with me to the Blast Room. We have a competition together next week, so we should make the most of our practice time now."
Yan Qing smiled and glanced at him. "I know you're strong, but we still have a team competition. I don't want to hold you or the team back. Let's focus on practicing for now and talk about other things later!"

Yan Qing led Jiang Ming through the corridor, and they applied for training use on the electronic screen in front of the Blast Room.
