The crowd looked at the dry corpses, filled with anger and disdain. 0

"I never expected Klick to be so ruthless. To escape, he disregarded the lives of his own teammates. Extracting others' Psychic Ability like this is a blatant violation of the fundamental right to life established by the Pacific Ability Federation." 0

Someone clenched their fists, fire burning in their eyes. 0

"People like him should be brought to justice; we can't let him roam free." 0

The group buzzed with discussions, strongly condemning Klick's actions. 0

They gathered once more around the palace of the Deep Sea Sprite, meticulously searching for a long time. 0

In the dimly lit palace, a mysterious and ancient aura permeated the air. The walls flickered with faint light, as if recounting tales of past glory and stories long forgotten. 0

The team members were focused, leaving no corner unexamined for potential hidden evidence. Finally, in a concealed nook, they discovered documents that revealed communications between the Deep Sea Sprite and criminals from other regions. 0

These documents seemed like keys to unlock the door of evil, holding countless secrets and conspiracies. 0

With heavy hearts, they uploaded these valuable images to headquarters. After completing their mission, they left some personnel behind to maintain vigilance against any unexpected situations. 0

Soon after, they embarked on their journey back to Pacific Base. 0

As they disembarked from the helicopter, Jing Chen gently patted Yan Qing on the shoulder. A complex emotion flickered in his eyes, as if he had much to say but didn't know where to start. "Can I have a word? I have some questions for you." 0

Yan Qing glanced at Jing Chen, unable to discern his true intentions beneath the Golden Wire Glasses. Nevertheless, he nodded and gestured with his chin to a quieter spot for a conversation. 0

As they reached an open area, distancing themselves from Jiang Ming and the others to ensure no one else could overhear, Jing Chen turned to Yan Qing and asked, "Don't you think it's quite coincidental that this person named Jiang Ming appeared at such a crucial moment?" 0

Yan Qing furrowed his brow slightly and replied, "What do you mean?" 0

Jing Chen adjusted his Golden Wire Glasses and said slowly, "The A-Level Esper exam was just announced this year, and this Jiang Ming entered the Z District headquarters right after. We won't discuss who issued that order, but with his double S rank, it doesn't make sense for him to only reveal himself now." 0

Yan Qing didn't turn to look at him; he merely gazed at Jiang Ming's retreating figure and remarked meaningfully, "I know there must be some untold stories behind him, but isn't what we can do now just to wait and see?" 0

With that, he gave Jing Chen a knowing look before turning to leave. 0

Jing Chen rubbed his chin, watching Yan Qing walk away with a helpless shake of his head before he turned to follow the direction of the giant crocodile and the others. 0

In the plaza of Pacific Base, sunlight poured down, creating a solemn atmosphere. 0

The host stood on the podium and spoke loudly, "Thank you to all the A-Level Espers present for your tremendous contributions to our operation against the Deep Sea Sprite at Pacific Base. To commend the following members, we have decided to award them A-Level medals as a token of encouragement. We hope more Ability Users will join our Pacific Ability Federation in the future to contribute even more towards maintaining peace between humanity and Ability Users." 0

This monotonous and tedious commendation echoed through the plaza, yet a sense of pride and mission surged within everyone's hearts. 0

Upon returning to his dormitory, Yan Qing began packing his belongings. They would be leaving this place tonight to return to Z City. 0

The dormitory was filled with an atmosphere of impending farewell, each item seemingly carrying memories of their time together. 0

Drui Feng, with a lollipop in his mouth, knocked on the half-open door. 0

"Hey, Brother Yan, are we leaving now? Can't we stay a few more days? The Pacific Base isn't a place you can just come to anytime; I want to explore a bit more." 0

Yan Qing didn't look up as he continued to pack his belongings. He replied calmly, "If you want to explore more, then take your time. This place is too strange; we can't stay here long." 0

Jiang Wenyu had somehow appeared beside Yan Qing, her gaze calm and resolute. "When did you get here? You're sitting on Brother Yan's bed. What's going on between you two?" 0

Drui Feng's eyes widened in confusion. 0

"It's nothing. I was just discussing some matters with Captain Yan Qing," Jiang Wenyu said as she organized her things, addressing Drui Feng. 0

"Oh, I see. I thought Brother Yan and Jiang Ge were..." 0

Drui Feng's words were abruptly cut off by a sudden presence behind him. 0

"What are you talking about?" A large hand rested on Drui Feng's shoulder. 0

Startled, Drui Feng turned around to find Jiang Ming standing right behind him, wearing a faint smile that held an inscrutable depth in his eyes, making him seem somewhat mysterious. 0

"Oh, it's you, Jiang Ge. Why are you back so late? Brother Yan and the others are getting ready to leave this place. You should hurry up and pack too." 0

"Yeah, I ran into an old acquaintance I met elsewhere and got back a bit late. What’s going on? Why do we need to leave so early?" 0

Jiang Ming looked at Drui Feng, his eyes filled with a hint of inquiry. 0

"There's nothing much, I just feel we shouldn't stay here for too long. There are many things piling up in Zone Z, and I'm sure Lin Ran will come looking for us to settle the score. It's better to head back early." 0

This time, Yan Qing didn't wait for Drui Feng to respond. Standing beside Jiang Ming, he began stuffing clothes into his suitcase. 0

"Oh, is that so?" Jiang Ming glanced at Drui Feng and asked, "Why aren't you packing your clothes?" 0

Drui Feng pulled out the two pockets of his jacket and spread his arms wide. "Do I look like someone who carries clothes? With my hands spread like this, I come and go in a flash. Isn't that just perfect?" 0

Jiang Wenyu, sitting on the edge of the bed, shook her head. She always felt that Drui Feng was like a child who never grew up. Jiang Ming helplessly walked around Drui Feng and went inside to start packing the few thin clothes he had brought. 0

According to the helicopter Yan Qing had arranged, it would arrive at the Pacific Base's helipad in two hours to take them back to Z City. In those last two hours, they hurriedly packed their clothes and waited at the helipad of Pacific Base. 0

The waiting time always felt long and torturous as a gentle breeze swept by, bringing a hint of coolness. 0

Jing Chen and his group passed by Yan Qing again, seemingly slipping something into his hand. 0

Jiang Ming couldn't see what it was, but judging by the expressions of Yan Qing and Jing Chen, it seemed they were acquainted even before this exam. 0

Drui Feng tilted his head in confusion, watching Jing Chen's group walk away before asking, "Brother Yan, what did he give you? Did you know each other before?" 0

Yan Qing looked at the item in his hand, a glimmer of memory flashing in his eyes. "We were classmates in college." 0
