Early the next morning, as the first light of dawn began to break, Jiang Ming got out of bed, wide awake. He tiptoed out of his room, preparing to go downstairs for a morning run. 0

In truth, he hadn’t slept a wink all night, his mind swirling with thoughts about how to confess everything to his teammates. 0

Especially to Drui Feng and Jiang Wenyu; the fewer people who knew about this matter, the better. Yet, he didn’t want to hide anything from them either, leaving him caught in a dilemma. 0

“Hey, Lu Xiaonuan, what happened to you yesterday? You nearly made me die laughing!” 0

Zhang Yuqing had a straw in her mouth, sipping on soy milk and lightly chewing it, her cheeks puffed up like an adorable little squirrel. As she spoke, she nudged Lu Xiaonuan with her shoulder, her eyes sparkling with amusement. 0

Lu Xiaonuan helplessly rubbed her forehead and replied with a bitter smile, “How would I know? I clearly saw it was Lu Mingyu when I ran over. Who would have thought it turned into Zhou Xingshu right in front of me? Don’t laugh at me; I’m probably going to be the top news at school for the next few days. It’s so embarrassing!” 0

A faint blush crept onto her face, a mix of shame and annoyance. 0

Jiang Ming ran past the two girls, his mind heavy with thoughts. Their residence was very close to School No. 13, and every morning it was filled with the sounds of running feet and students’ laughter. 0

Today, however, Jiang Ming had woken up unusually early. So early that he was already running on the street downstairs before the students heading to school had started appearing in groups. 0

The sky was still somewhat dim, with the yellow glow of streetlights spilling onto the ground. Breakfast stalls by the roadside were already bustling with activity. Students walked by one after another, chewing on their freshly bought breakfast as the air filled with the aroma of fried dough sticks and soy milk. 0

Despite the noisy surroundings, Jiang Ming felt increasingly heavy-hearted, as if a large stone was pressing down on him. He didn’t know how he would face Drui Feng, Jiang Wenyu, and Yan Qing later at work or how he would muster the courage to reveal that burdensome secret. 0

Fortunately, time passed quickly amidst Jiang Ming’s turmoil, sparing him from too much distress. 0

As soon as he entered the office that day, Drui Feng swaggered toward his seat as usual. 0

Suddenly, his eyes widened in surprise as if he had discovered a new world. Excitedly, he exclaimed, “Whoa! Who sent me these soup dumplings? I can’t believe someone actually brought me breakfast! My goodness, who is this great person?” 0

As he spoke, he stood up, stretched lazily, twisted his neck, and scanned the room with eager eyes. 0

In the end, all he saw was Jiang Ming giving him a friendly wave. 0

Drui Feng's lips twitched slightly, and he paused for a moment before responding stiffly, "Uh, thanks, Brother Jiang." 0

He felt a bit puzzled about why Jiang Ming was acting so strangely today, actually bringing him breakfast. 0

At that moment, Jiang Wenyu entered the office with a light step. She immediately spotted the soy milk and fried dough sticks on her desk, her eyes flashing with surprise. Then she blinked slightly and turned to look at Jiang Ming, who was making eye contact with her. Her gaze held a hint of confusion and coldness as she softly asked, "Is there something you need?" 0

Jiang Ming shook his head and smiled, "No, nothing in particular. I just wanted to treat you all to breakfast. I have something I’d like to discuss with you later." 0

His smile seemed a bit forced, carrying an almost imperceptible tension. 0

Jiang Wenyu didn’t press further; she simply nodded coolly and quietly took her seat, waiting in silence. 0

By the time Yan Qing walked into the office, it was already 8:55. 0

Yan Qing looked half-asleep, mumbling, "The grievances of workers start at 9 AM every morning." 0

As he approached his desk, he suddenly froze. The breakfast prepared for him by Jiang Ming was the most lavish of all. Looking at the spread before him, Yan Qing furrowed his brow and glanced at Jiang Ming, who was smiling gently at him. His eyes carried a questioning look: "Are you ready?" 0

Jiang Ming took a deep breath and nodded. 0

Drui Feng observed the strange interaction between Jiang Ming and Yan Qing with confusion. He spoke up, "What are you two preparing for? Brother Yan, Jiang Ge, are you hiding something from us?" 0

He scratched his head, his eyes darting between the two. 0

Jiang Ming stood up and walked to the center of the office. Fortunately, this office was specially allocated by Zone Z's base for each team, so there were only the four of them inside. This eased his nerves a little. 0

Clearing his throat, he adopted a serious expression and slowly began to speak: "I know that everyone has doubts about the conflict that occurred between me and Klick in the waters of Deep Sea Sprite a few days ago. For that, I would like to bow to you all and express my apologies." 0

With that, Jiang Ming bowed deeply, leaning slightly forward with a sincere and solemn demeanor. 0

Drui Feng was even more bewildered now. He scratched the back of his head and said with a puzzled expression, "What’s going on? Jiang Ge, why are you suddenly being so serious?" 0

His large face was etched with confusion, and his eyes were filled with bewilderment. 0

Jiang Wenyu remained silent, quietly observing Jiang Ming's actions, her gaze deep and calm, as if waiting for some important information. 0

Jiang Ming straightened up, looking firmly at everyone, and continued, "I am actually one of the four top wanted criminals issued by the Pacific Ability Federation—Mountain God. However, the crimes listed on your wanted poster are not mine; someone has been committing these acts in my name. I came out this time to find the evildoer who has been using my identity to carry out these deeds, which is why I followed the clues to Zone Z." 0

His voice was low and powerful, each word striking like a hammer on everyone's hearts. 0

"As for Klick, I have had interactions with him before. Letting him go was to draw out a bigger fish behind him. I had no intention of hiding this from you; I only wanted to keep this matter known to fewer people for everyone's safety. However, given my behavior over the past few days that has raised doubts among you, I sincerely apologize. These are my heartfelt words, and I hope you can understand me." 0

After finishing his speech, a glimmer of expectation flashed in Jiang Ming's eyes; he hoped his teammates would understand and believe him. 0

"Oh, so that's what you meant! Jiang Ge, you should have said so earlier," Drui Feng said with a grin as he strode over to Jiang Ming's side. He clapped Jiang Ming's shoulder with his broad palm, making a loud "smack." "I knew you weren't that kind of person! You know, when you first joined our team, I thought you were reliable. Even though you were parachuted into our squad, I trust my instincts. I just felt that you, Jiang Ge, are a good person." 0

After speaking, Drui Feng winked at Jiang Ming as if to say, "I've got your back." His bright eyes sparkled with sincerity, and his face wore a simple smile. 0

Jiang Ming looked at Drui Feng, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly as a hint of gratitude appeared in his eyes. Just as he was about to speak, he was interrupted by Jiang Wenyu's cold voice. 0

Jiang Wenyu remained seated quietly, her gaze as cold as distant stars. She had many questions in her mind and furrowed her brow slightly before speaking softly, "You mentioned that you came to Zone Z following clues; could you share what those clues were?" 0
