Jiang Ming and Yan Qing hurriedly left through the back door of the 13th Middle School, the cool night breeze gently brushing against their faces, as if it were dispelling the tension and mystery that had just surrounded them. 0

As they passed by a street vendor, the lively atmosphere and the enticing aroma of food enveloped them. Jiang Ming walked confidently toward a familiar stall, buying two servings of pig trotter rice for Jiang Wenyu and Drui Feng, who were still hard at work. The vendor carefully packed the two servings, steam rising from them, releasing an irresistible fragrance. 0

The two returned to the Military District Research Institute Base in Z City. As soon as they stepped through the office door, Drui Feng's keen nose seemed to catch a whiff of something delightful; he darted to the entrance like a dog spotting a bone, his eyes sparkling with excitement. 0

"What did you buy? Let me guess—pig trotter rice? It smells amazing! It must be from that place in Longjiang; I remember their food has this exact flavor," he exclaimed, sniffing eagerly at the air, his face full of anticipation. 0

Jiang Ming shook his head helplessly but couldn't hide a fond smile. "You really do have a dog's nose." With some effort, he pulled out one of the meals from behind him and handed it to Drui Feng. "Here you go, your favorite pig trotter rice. Enjoy." 0

Seeing the amusing interaction between Drui Feng and Jiang Ming brought a slight smile to Yan Qing's lips. He quietly retrieved another meal from behind him and walked over to Jiang Wenyu, placing it on her desk with a hint of concern in his eyes. "How's the search for those three individuals going? Have you found any leads in the surveillance footage?" 0

Jiang Wenyu seemed oblivious to his question, her eyes glued to the computer screen as her right hand moved the mouse incessantly. She was completely absorbed in reviewing every surveillance video, leaving no corner unchecked, meticulously examining even the most minor details that might have been overlooked. 0

Upon hearing Yan Qing's words, she merely twitched her nose slightly without tearing her gaze away from the screen. "I found a few spots where the surveillance seems off; let me pull them up for you." After quickly operating her computer, she retrieved those clips and let out a long breath as if she had completed a significant task. Then she stood up, grabbed her meal, and sat down beside Yan Qing at his desk, disregarding any semblance of decorum as she began to eat heartily. 0

Her rough eating style contrasted sharply with her usual poised demeanor; however, at that moment, she was simply a weary person finding solace in delicious food. 0

Yan Qing took over Jiang Wenyu's position at the computer, focusing intently on the screen as he continued searching through the footage. His brow furrowed slightly, revealing his concentration and seriousness. 0

Just as Jiang Wenyu had mentioned, those clips indeed had an eerie quality about them. 0

In the footage, three figures suddenly appeared in a corner of the factory like ghosts. Yet around that corner, there were hardly any traces of people captured by other cameras; they seemed to have materialized out of thin air. 0

Yan Qing watched and pondered, "If I'm not mistaken, one of these three must be an Ability User who has concealed the blind spots of the surveillance." 0

Jiang Ming approached Yan Qing from behind, resting a hand on the back of Yan Qing's chair while propping himself up on the table with the other. From a distance, it appeared as if he had enveloped half of Yan Qing's body in his embrace. 0

He leaned slightly forward, pointing at a specific area on the surveillance screen. "Why can't we access this video?" His voice was low and tinged with confusion. 0

Yan Qing furrowed his brow and leaned over to look at Jiang Wenyu, who was devouring his food nearby. "Why can't we access this surveillance video?" 0

At that moment, Drui Feng was struggling to eat, holding a lunchbox in one hand and chopsticks in the other, stuffing his cheeks like a little squirrel. 0

Hearing their conversation, he mumbled through a mouthful of food, "The surveillance is broken. The factory hasn't repaired it, so we can't retrieve the video." He then shoved another large piece of pork knuckle into his mouth, his face glistening with grease. 0

"The surveillance is broken," Yan Qing murmured, his brow furrowed in suspicion. 0

His gaze seemed to pierce through the screen, searching for the hidden secrets behind it. 0

"How could it be such a coincidence? Moreover, shouldn't there be regular maintenance for surveillance in heavy industrial areas?" 0

As he spoke, he quickly operated the computer, his long fingers dancing across the keyboard as he tried to find more information about the surveillance maintenance from the system. 0

"According to past surveillance checks, we should be able to retrieve videos from the last month. This suggests that this particular camera has been down for at least a month without anyone from the factory coming to fix it. The national regulations require maintenance twice a month. There must be something suspicious happening just when we need to access these videos." 0

Yan Qing's voice was steady, but the seriousness of his words made the atmosphere around them tense. 0

Jiang Ming stood to the side, arms crossed over his chest, deep in thought. Upon hearing Yan Qing's analysis, he nodded in agreement, a flicker of alertness passing through his deep-set eyes. "I also find it strange. How about we go back to the factory and look for more clues together?" 0

Drui Feng, however, seemed like an outsider, still lost in the deliciousness of his pork rice. His mouth was stuffed full, cheeks puffed out like balloons, and he shook his head, mumbling indistinctly, "No need to search. This surveillance camera is just one of Duo An's cameras in the factory. Even if it's broken and hasn't been repaired, there wouldn't be any blind spots in the other cameras, so they haven't sent anyone to fix this one." 0

As Drui Feng spoke, grains of rice nearly spilled from his mouth, yet his relaxed tone starkly contrasted with the tense atmosphere. 0

Yan Qing furrowed her brows even tighter after hearing Drui Feng's words, a look of confusion crossing her face. 0

"Even if there are no blind spots, why do they need this particular camera from Duo An? Isn't that redundant?" 0

Yan Qing seemed to be questioning Drui Feng while also pondering it herself, her eyes sparkling with thought as she tried to find a reasonable explanation for this seemingly illogical phenomenon. 0

Meanwhile, Jiang Wenyu quietly finished her meal, her elegant manner of eating contrasting sharply with those around her. 0

Before long, she had silently polished off her box of food. Then, unhurriedly, she took out a handkerchief from her pocket and gently wiped the corners of her mouth. Her movements were soft and graceful, reminiscent of a noble lady. 0

Afterward, she stood up elegantly. The trash from her box seemed weightless in her hands as she floated over to the nearby trash can and accurately tossed it in before gliding back toward them. 0

"I believe that this camera from Duo An is meant to draw our attention. Just because it seems redundant doesn't mean it truly is; perhaps it's a way to lure us in," she said. 0

Jiang Wenyu's voice was like a clear spring in the mountains—crisp and pleasant—but the content of her words sent a chill through everyone present. 0
