Chen Yuanwai snapped back to reality, trembling as he looked at Qin Feng. "Y-you actually dare to hit someone?" He found it hard to believe that a scholar, seemingly powerless, could become so formidable. 0

Qin Feng narrowed his eyes, took a step forward, and in the blink of an eye appeared right in front of him. He reached out and grasped Chen Yuanwai's throat, his voice cold as ice. "Let her go." 0

Chen Yuanwai felt as if his neck were caught in an iron grip, struggling to breathe as his face flushed red. "L-let me go! P-please!" he stammered, his eyes bulging in panic. 0

Only then did Qin Feng release him, causing Chen Yuanwai to collapse to the ground with a thud. He coughed violently, clutching his throat. 0

"My patience is limited. Hurry up," Qin Feng said coldly. 0

"Someone! Quickly!" Chen Yuanwai shouted hoarsely, his body shaking. 0

A timid servant appeared from nowhere, glancing fearfully at Qin Feng. "M-master..." 0

"Quickly bring that little girl locked in the woodshed here!" Chen Yuanwai barked urgently. 0

"Oh, I’ll go right away!" The servant turned and fled. 0

Chen Yuanwai then turned to Qin Feng with a forced smile. "Qin Gongzi, please wait a moment. She'll be here soon." 0

Qin Feng studied Chen Yuanwai closely, narrowing his eyes. He noticed a faint red hue above Chen Yuanwai's head; it was no surprise for someone from a wealthy family to have some depth. However, at that moment, the color was slowly shifting towards black. 0

Qin Feng's gaze flickered. Was this change due to him? 0

In the woodshed, Qin Wan'er huddled in the corner, hugging her knees tightly. Her small head was buried in her arms as her body trembled uncontrollably with fear. She knew she was a burden to her brother and never imagined he would sell her off. Her tears had long dried up; all that remained was sheer terror. 0

The door to the woodshed was pushed open with a bang, startling Qin Wan'er, who looked up in panic at the servant who had appeared. 0

"Come quickly! Your brother is here to pick you up!" the servant said hurriedly, rushing forward to grab the still-dazed little girl and pulling her outside. 0

Qin Wan'er was bewildered. Had she misheard? Wasn't her brother the one who had sold her? Why would he come to pick her up now? 0

Before long, the servant returned, dragging a frail little girl along. The girl looked even thinner than before, her face pale and gaunt. Suddenly, the servant stumbled and fell to the ground, taking the little girl down with her. It seemed as though the girl's small face was about to hit the ground. 0

Qin Feng's expression changed dramatically. In an instant, he appeared beside the little girl and caught her in his arms just in time. 0

Qin Wan'er felt terrified and suddenly found herself enveloped in a warm embrace, her surroundings spinning as she struggled to comprehend what was happening. 0

After setting her down gently, Qin Feng took a closer look and confirmed that it was indeed his younger sister, Qin Wan'er. 0

"Are you okay, little sister?" Qin Feng asked softly. 0

Qin Wan'er looked up at him, momentarily stunned. She shrank back slightly and said, "You're not my brother." 0

Qin Feng was taken aback for a moment but then remembered that he had undergone significant changes after his transformation. Shaking his head, he replied, "Silly girl, if I'm not your brother, then who am I? Take a good look at me." 0

Qin Wan'er stared at Qin Feng intently, examining his face closely. He did resemble her brother after all. "Why... why do you look different?" she stammered. 0

Qin Feng smiled gently. "I've been through some things that changed me. But we’re going home now. This time, it was my fault." He reached out and affectionately ruffled Qin Wan'er's hair. 0
