As Blue Face Hero threw a punch, in that fleeting moment, Godslayer surprisingly managed to react. His left hand formed a fist and collided with the incoming blow from Blue Face Hero.
“Boom!”
Only the force of his own punch echoed, yet there was no sign of Blue Face Hero; he simply began to dissipate, leaving no trace behind. Godslayer quickly realized—
A clone!
The Shadow Clone Technique had always been a specialty of Blue Face Hero, often creating illusions on the battlefield to launch unexpected attacks against his enemies.
Godslayer immediately became alert to his surroundings. Sure enough, from the southeast, southwest, northeast, and northwest, four new clones of Blue Face Hero lunged at him. He couldn't tell which one was real, but they were undoubtedly deceptive!
“Do you think I can't use Spell Arts in close combat?!” Godslayer shouted at the approaching clones. He could see through Blue Face Hero's strategy and was adjusting his combat style accordingly; otherwise, he would be led around by the nose.
Suddenly! The eyes on the blade of Godslayer's “Tear Star” battle axe lit up. At that moment, it resembled a staff shimmering with green starlight. Godslayer held the axe upright like a staff and struck it against the ground. An energy wave blossomed from him like a blooming lotus, stirring up dust and debris around him like a towering tsunami.
At that moment, Godslayer stood as a god at the center of a flowerbed, watching the energy wave he created surge toward the four clones of Blue Face Hero. He genuinely wanted to see which one among them was the real Blue Face Hero. These clones were fragile; any attack would cause them to vanish instantly. Even the punch he had thrown earlier could make them disappear, let alone the energy wave he was now unleashing!
However, the outcome was beyond Godslayer's expectations.
Wherever the energy wave reached, all four clones vanished. The wave itself seemed to hit an invisible wall, swirling around him like smoke before dissipating moments later—none of those clones were the real Blue Face Hero!
“You're as cunning as ever.”
Standing tall like a deity, Godslayer used his consciousness to sense the changes in the surrounding energy field. He was searching and trying to determine where Blue Face Hero would ultimately appear.
In an instant, the battlefield fell eerily silent. Only the severed body of the Zombie King and the dazed form of Fierce Eagle remained on the ground, along with Godslayer Bansa, who stood still admiring his handiwork. Heavy rain continued to pour down, creating an oppressive atmosphere beneath its curtain—a stark contrast to a bright day; instead, it reeked of bloodshed. The rain swayed in the wind like a backdrop, while Ban Sa remained motionless within this shifting veil, his green energy patterns appearing and retracting like tentacles. At that moment, he resembled not so much a statue but rather a predator lying in wait for an opportune moment to strike.
Yet Nars was not present; he had hidden himself away. While Nars lurked in shadows, Ban Sa stood in plain sight.
Who would be the hunter? Who would be the prey?
“Nars…”
“Let me guess where you are…”
“Right here!”
Suddenly, Godslayer’s eyes lit up as he raised his massive axe high above his head, its blade pointing upward like a gaping maw ready to devour—he sensed a threat from above. This indescribable battle instinct was something that Ban Sa had mastered!
“What?!” exclaimed Blue Face Hero, alarmed. If he continued his descent and attacked recklessly, he would land right on the axe blade and be easily slain by gravity's pull. With no other choice, he twisted his body and activated his thrusters, making a sharp turn before landing on solid ground.
“I thought I had hidden in the Time-Space Equipment Library, yet he can still sense my threat,” Blue Face Hero mused after rolling onto solid ground.
His original strategy had been to imitate how he had killed Xiu Sha, using clones to distract his opponent’s attention before dropping from above with his Laser Long Curved Blade to deliver a lethal strike. However, he never anticipated that Ban Sa’s focus wouldn’t be disrupted by his clones; he had been using his battle instinct to seek out where he had concealed himself!
In that moment, the Blue Face Hero realized he had become the prey willingly offered up.
"Your usual tricks are nothing special," Godslayer sneered, as the Battle Armor on his calves began to morph. He pushed off the ground with force, charging straight at the Blue Face Hero.
"If strategy won't work, then I'll have to go all out!" The Blue Face Hero's gaze sharpened as the Third-Order Space-Time Equipment Library unfolded before him. He grasped a weapon resembling the Mother-and-Child Yan-Yang Axe. As Godslayer lunged at him, he merely sidestepped slightly and counterattacked. To his surprise, Time also struck back, and this sharp weapon sliced through Godslayer's side Battle Armor, knocking a large piece off and sending it crashing to the ground.
This weapon, which Nars had yet to name, was already on the battlefield. It was a brand new third-tier weapon he had crafted during his preparations on Earth, utilizing molecular arrangement technology and featuring a kinetic cutting film similar to Lu Sha's Chain Spear at its edge. Its sharpness was nearly comparable to that of the Tear Star battle axe.
Nars chose to install such a razor-sharp blade on a weapon modeled after the secret weapon of the China sect—the Mother-and-Child Yan-Yang Axe. Liu Xuan had introduced it to him because Nars's close combat style was characterized by unpredictability and considerable martial arts prowess, making it perfectly suited for the combat characteristics of the Mother-and-Child Yan-Yang Axe. Unlike other long weapons, this axe was better suited for close combat and significantly enhanced the lethality of martial arts strikes. From every angle, it was an ideal fit for Nars.
By the time Godslayer reacted, a large section of his Battle Armor had been stripped away by the Blue Face Hero's Mother-and-Child Yan-Yang Axe, revealing his pale green skin underneath. At that moment, he couldn't help but admire Nars's reflexes; he managed to counterattack while evading. Nars was indeed fighting him with everything he had.
What followed was a one-sided suppression by the Blue Face Hero against Godslayer. The Tear Star battle axe was too large for Godslayer to wield effectively in close quarters, while Blue Face Hero had closed in completely, rendering the axe a burden rather than an asset. The distance was perfect for Blue Face Hero to unleash his close-combat skills!
Every punch from Blue Face Hero was accompanied by blade-like extensions from the Mother-and-Child Yan-Yang Axe, easily piercing through Godslayer's Battle Armor and into his flesh beneath. With such close-range attacks, Godslayer found himself unable to utilize the Tear Star battle axe effectively; he could only endure as Blue Face Hero's fists and elbows rained down upon him. He was continuously forced back, appearing truly outmatched.
"Ha!" A sharp whistle escaped Blue Face Hero as he summoned metallic spikes onto his elbows. He struck Godslayer's abdominal Battle Armor with an elbow jab and then unleashed a powerful uppercut. Accompanied by a fierce howl, the cold light of the Mother-and-Child Yan-Yang Axe flashed as its blade pierced into Godslayer's jaw before slicing open a gash that sent blood spraying everywhere! Godslayer collapsed as his jaw was cut open by Blue Face Hero's weapon.
"Liu Xuan, report on Tianchuang Gloves' charging progress!"
"Charging at 78%!"
Seeing Godslayer downed presented an ideal opportunity to finish him off; however, Tianchuang Gloves had not yet recovered from excessive use on the Pacific battlefield. Although the Mother-and-Child Yan-Yang Axe was sharp enough, its limited range could give Godslayer a chance to retaliate. With these factors combined and lacking sufficiently lethal weapons, Nars thought of Storm Armor—the equipment designed to enhance leg strength!
The Time-Space Equipment Library suddenly appeared around his legs as Storm Armor quickly assembled itself there. The Blue Face Hero leaped into the air and executed a stunning 720-degree spin before extending his right leg downward like a meteor crashing from Mount Tai! The iron armor of Storm Armor roared to life as engines ignited, trailing blue flames like fireworks in flight alongside Blue Face Hero’s descending kick—he aimed to shatter the already heavily injured Godslayer with this aerial assault!
However, just as Blue Face Hero’s leg was about to make contact with Godslayer, something unexpected happened.
In an instant, he felt a powerful gust of wind surge around him—so strong that it lifted him off course! Rather than simply wind, it felt more like a shockwave from an explosion that sent Blue Face Hero flying away!
"Ugh!" His rhythm disrupted, Blue Face Hero tumbled across the ground before regaining some composure. He glanced back just in time to see Godslayer rising once more; despite blood dripping from his jaw wound, it was healing rapidly—at a speed comparable to Lu Sha! Meanwhile, Godslayer’s Tear Star battle axe floated beside him as he approached slowly—Blue Face Hero could never have anticipated this move: Godslayer’s battle axe was also a supernatural entity with its own consciousness; when its master faced imminent danger, it would act independently to protect him!
"You’re impressive, Nars," Ban Sa said as he extended his hand with fingers splayed wide. The Tear Star battle axe obediently flew into his grasp. "Every tactical step you take earns my respect; unfortunately, you are still too young."
Blue Face Hero attempted to rise but found himself engulfed in a paralyzing sensation—the energy fluctuations from Tear Star carried neurotoxic properties. Fierce Eagle had just fallen victim to this very move; however, what Blue Face Hero experienced was much milder. Helplessly immobilized, he watched as Godslayer approached him and raised his battle axe high above his head before bringing it down—
