The owner of the Long-Eared Rabbit is a cute young lady, just as adorable as her pet, speaking in a sweet and soft voice. Her rabbit is named Duan Duan, who often suffers from constipation.
"Dr. Gu, Duan Duan is constipated again."
"Alright, come with me," Gu Yu said, skillfully taking the rabbit and heading to the examination room. I didn’t follow; I felt that the atmosphere was such that I shouldn’t be present. I pretended to be busy while secretly observing them.
Gu Yu was using a stethoscope, carefully examining Duan Duan while occasionally engaging in soft conversation with her owner. They were close together, smiling sweetly at each other.
Perhaps it was because my period was approaching; I felt inexplicably irritable and restless. Dan Huang sensed my low mood and nudged its little duck toy towards me to play with.

"Tsk tsk tsk, who can resist this kind of charm?" doctor Xiao Wei leaned against the doorframe, looking enviously at the scene.
"Yeah, they look great together," a passing nurse chimed in. "Dr. Gu has been really popular lately; just a few days ago, a girl brought him a bouquet of flowers to thank him for curing her dog’s depression."
Yes, I had seen that too.
"Dr. Gu is skilled and handsome; it's normal for someone to like him," doctor Xiao Wei remarked as he glanced at me.
"If I were a girl, I would definitely like him," he added.
"You can like him even if you're not a girl."
I turned back and gave him an encouraging look.
"What nonsense are you spouting!" He tugged at my ponytail.
"What are you all doing?" Gu Yu asked, his hands stuffed in the pockets of his white coat, looking over with an expressionless face. " Doctor Wei seems quite free."
" Doctor Wei is actually quite busy," Doctor Wei said as he took his leave.
"Shishi, do you have plans later? Want to grab a meal together?"
I shook my head. "I have something to take care of today and need to head back early."
Seeing his slightly disappointed expression, I added, "Maybe next time."
I didn't really have anything to do; I was just frantically editing videos. After I posted the educational video, half of my followers had defected and become fans of Dr. Gu. The other half were still loyal to Tuan Tuan.
Any video featuring Dr. Gu had terrifying comments flooding in.
"I want to be Dr. Gu's pet."
"Dr. Gu, look at me! Is my heart racing?"
One particularly popular comment made my hand tremble:
"Shishi, don’t get spayed! Just take Dr. Gu home!"

Not long after, Long-Eared Rabbit Sister came back again; Duan Duan had developed a skin condition and was shedding heavily. During Duan Duan's medicated baths, she would chat with us and bring various snacks and drinks, sharing them not only with Gu Yu but also with other staff at the hospital.
I often received little gifts from her as well.
On the surface, I remained calm, but inside I felt increasingly anxious. I started making excuses to avoid them—organizing cases, counting medications, cleaning...
I sought out any place that would keep me away from Gu Yu and Long-Eared Rabbit Sister.
Returning to the break room, I heated up a cup of milk and stared blankly into space.
