Gu Yu walked in, closed the door, and sat down across from me.
"Not feeling happy lately?"
"Well... um." My emotions were written all over my face, denying it seemed pointless.
"If you're not happy, then I must be happy," he said with a smirk.
I stared at him in disbelief.
His lips curled into a smile as he confidently stated, "You're unhappy because of me."
He didn’t give me a chance to deny it.
"I know you might not be ready to accept me yet, but I hope you can give me a chance. I want to be your boyfriend."
My face flushed, and I could hear my heart pounding in my ears.
"I..."
He gently patted my head. "No need to rush your answer, take your time to think about it."
"Okay!" Perhaps it was Rabbit Sister who gave me the courage; I closed my eyes and reached out to wrap my arms around his waist. "Boyfriend."

Shishi caught a cold and had been restricted from eating anything spicy for two weeks.
Gu Yu picked up his phone and texted the person who had failed to get spicy hot pot yesterday despite trying hard:
"Save Your Dog's Life: What do you want to eat? I'll bring something back on my way home."
"Li Shi is not silly: Huh? You're off work so early?"
"Save Your Dog's Life: I'm getting off early to spend time with you."
"Li Shi is not silly: Oh, then don't rush, take your time coming back."
Gu Yu chuckled, unable to resist teasing her.
"Save Your Dog's Life: No way."
The other party is typing...
"Take your time eating, don’t rush. I’m very slow," Gu Yu thought, a smile creeping onto his face as he imagined her flustered at home, hastily finishing her meal while trying to ventilate the room.
The first time he saw Li Shishi, she was chasing after her dog, calling out, "Wait a minute! Wait a minute!" The sunlight glinted off her fluffy hair, reminiscent of a golden retriever.
He spotted her again in the neighboring community, sternly telling a group of elementary school students not to bully a kitten. She looked so serious yet adorable.
When he visited Gu Lan’s shop, he happened to see her leaving and realized she was a resident of the area. After Gu Lan mentioned that she often came by the shop, Gu Yu started volunteering there whenever he had free time, hoping to run into her. He ended up doing a lot of unpaid work for Gu Lan.
One day, he found her squatting in front of the Pet Snacks shelf, completely still, wearing a hat with two ears on it. At first glance, he thought she was a Samoyed.
As their encounters increased, he couldn’t help but feel that she resembled the small animals she rescued—fragile yet resilient and undeniably cute. It made him want to reach out and pat her head.
But she could be a bit silly at times, often throwing flirtatious glances at those who couldn’t see them.
Her confessions were anything but subtle; her thought process tended to go awry.
Knock knock knock—
The sound of knocking interrupted Gu Yu’s thoughts.
"Dr. Gu, it’s time to go home," came the sweet voice of the nurse from outside the door.
"Okay, I’ll be right there," Gu Yu replied as he grabbed his coat and quickly stepped out of the office.
He was heading back to check on Li Shishi's dining situation.
In the comments section of my videos, there are always people asking me,
"Has Shishi been spayed today?"
I'm sorry.
My cat's name is Dandan, Mo Mo, and Tuan Tuan.
My dog is named Wait a Minute.
Shishi is my name.
When I first met Dr. Gu, he said to me, "Suck, suck, suck, come take a bath."
I have a dog, but I don't treat it like one.
After eating too many Pet Snacks at his place,
I thought it wasn't such a bad thing after all.
Just like how I feed Dandan and the others.
They're all well taken care of.
