San Shu took out a small communicator from his pocket and handed it to Chen Rui. "Tonight, at the West District Dock, you will meet the Ghost. You'd better be careful; the Ghost is a suspicious person, and any misstep could lead him to see you as an enemy." 0

Chen Rui clenched the communicator, a subtle excitement and tension rising within him. He knew that the Ghost might be the key figure for his breakthrough in the Tenth District. 0

As night fell, Chen Rui arrived at the West District Dock. The place was already in ruins, with most of the containers on the dock rusted and emanating a briny scent of seawater. He stood on the desolate dock, hearing only the sound of waves crashing against the shore, while a cold wind hit his face, sending a shiver down his spine. 0

Before long, a tall man in a black trench coat stepped out from the shadows. The man wore a black mask that concealed his face except for his sharp eyes, giving off an eerie vibe. 0

"Are you the Ghost?" Chen Rui asked tentatively. 0

The man did not respond immediately but scrutinized Chen Rui before coldly stating, "San Shu has already informed me about you. However, since we are meeting, you should show some sincerity first." 0

Without saying much, Chen Rui handed over more data from the document to the Ghost. The Ghost took the document and began to read it, a flicker of surprise crossing his eyes. 0

"You actually managed to obtain this information." The Ghost looked up at Chen Rui with increased vigilance. "It seems you are more capable than most." 0

"I need more information about Old," Chen Rui continued. "I know you have channels." 0

The Ghost remained silent for a moment, seemingly weighing whether to fulfill his request. After a brief pause, he nodded. "Alright, since you have such leverage, I can provide some information." 0

With that, the Ghost pulled out a small disk from his pocket and handed it to Chen Rui. "This contains several secret locations of Old within the Tenth District. As for their Experiment Subjects, you'd better prepare yourself; they are not what you imagine." 0

Chen Rui accepted the disk, feeling a slight heaviness in his heart. He had braced himself for this; however, the Ghost's tone hinted at an underlying unease. 0

"What exactly are these Experiment Subjects?" Chen Rui asked. 0

The Ghost scoffed lightly, a hint of mockery and pity in his eyes. "Do you think biological enhancement is merely about boosting human abilities? No, Old's experiments have surpassed ordinary biological modifications. Those Experiment Subjects have lost their humanity; they have been injected with a knowledge-altering serum that not only grants them immense strength but also renders them nearly unresponsive to pain—turning them into walking killing machines." 0

"Do they still retain their consciousness?" Chen Rui pressed on. 0

The Ghost shook his head. "It's hard to say. Old might impose some form of mental control over them to execute specific tasks. Once they break free from that control, they become mindless monsters." 0

Chen Rui frowned as a chill spread from deep within him. The Old Forces were not only powerful but were also conducting such inhumane experiments—clearly preparing to take complete control of the Tenth District. 0

"How do I find these Experiment Subjects?" Chen Rui asked. 0

The Ghost smirked. "You don't need to search for them; if you enter Old's territory, the Experiment Subjects will naturally come looking for you." He paused for effect before adding meaningfully while looking directly at Chen Rui, "Don't say I didn't warn you—the waters in the Tenth District run deeper than you think. Anyone who attempts to shake its foundations will meet a grim fate." 0
