Lu laughed lightly. So what if she wanted him to leave quickly? 0

"Alright then, I’m off, Teacher Sang. Until next time!" Lu Jingzhi stopped teasing Sang Yu, fearing it might provoke her. 0

After saying that, he turned and walked away, a slight smile playing on his lips as if he had something joyful on his mind, making his steps seem much lighter than before. 0

Sang Yu thought to herself, "Until next time? Ha! As if there will be so many next times." 0

After sending off the two parents, it was time for school to end. Sang Yu planned to tidy up a bit before heading home. 0

Lu Jingzhi sat in the car parked at the school gate, waiting for his nephew to finish classes. He pressed the button to lower the driver's side window, letting the light drizzle fall into the car. 0

He took out a cigarette from the storage compartment beside the driver's seat, lit it, and held it between two fingers of his left hand. Taking a deep drag, thick smoke escaped his lips as he recalled the earlier scene in the office. 0

Sang Yu? 0

His deep-set eyes gazed out of the window, lost in thought. Just then, he spotted a slender figure riding an electric bike coming out of the campus. He recognized it was Sang Yu, wearing a floral long dress. Perhaps due to the cool weather from the rain, she had thrown on a thin jacket over it. 0

Sang Yu had her hair casually tied back, with a few loose strands framing her face and revealing her smooth forehead. She wasn't wearing a raincoat; instead, she rode through the drizzle unbothered. Lu Jingzhi frowned slightly—wasn’t she afraid of catching a cold? 0

"Uncle! What are you looking at?" Lu Youzhe appeared at the front of the car without him noticing. Seeing his uncle staring ahead in a daze, he curiously followed his gaze—just students leaving school? Who was his uncle looking at? 0

"Nothing. Get in the car." After glancing at his nephew, Lu Jingzhi extinguished his cigarette and started the car, turning it around to head in the opposite direction. 0

In fact, Sang Yu had a raincoat in her bike's basket; she just didn’t feel like wearing it today. 0

Seeing Lu Jingzhi suddenly had quite an impact on her. She felt somewhat dazed; she hadn’t expected someone she hadn’t seen for seven years to appear so abruptly before her. It was hard for her to put that feeling into words. 0

When she learned he was coming, she had thought about how they might run into each other living in the same city someday. She had imagined countless scenarios of their reunion, but when they actually met today, she realized she still wasn’t prepared. 0

About ten minutes later, she arrived home. Her place was a small apartment; due to rent reasons, she rented a place not too close to school—slightly off location—around forty square meters with one bedroom, one living room, one bathroom, and one kitchen for two thousand yuan a month. 0

Although the rain wasn’t heavy, she got soaked on her way home. The first thing Sang Yu did upon entering was take a hot shower. 0

After washing up, she casually dried her hair and grabbed a stuffed toy from beside her to hug while sitting on the sofa. She turned on the TV and found the variety show she had been following. 0

Normally, watching this show would make her laugh uncontrollably; however, today she felt completely unresponsive as water droplets dripped from her hair onto her chest. 0

Upon closer inspection, Sang Yu’s eyes seemed vacant; she stared blankly at the television without focus. 0
