As soon as Sang Yu and Lin Yue returned home, Lin Yue eagerly pulled Sang Yu to ask about her encounter with Lu Jing. She had been holding in her curiosity the entire way, and it was driving her crazy! 0

"Come on, tell me! When did you two meet?" Lin Yue pressed, her curiosity palpable. She had been worried about Sang Yu when she saw Lu Jing earlier, but it turned out they had already met. 0

"Why are you in such a hurry? Let me have a sip of water first. The aftereffects of hot pot: I’m so thirsty," Sang Yu replied. 0

Lin Yue insisted, "If you’re not eager to hear gossip, then you’re not respecting the gossip!" 0

"Get me a bottle of juice and some snacks while you're at it," Sang Yu added. 0

Sang Yu couldn’t help but roll her eyes. Was this a movie night? Juice and snacks? She seriously suspected that all the food they had at the hot pot restaurant had gone straight into Lin Yue's stomach! She stared at Lin Yue's belly, which was already protruding. 0

"What are you looking at?" Lin Yue noticed Sang Yu staring. 0

"I was just wondering what your belly is made of. You ate so much tonight and you can still eat snacks!" Sang Yu replied. 0

"What’s wrong with snacks? They don’t take up much space! Hurry up!" Lin Yue urged, eager to hear more gossip. 0

With her friend giving orders, what else could Sang Yu do but comply? 0

"Here you go." Sang Yu handed Lin Yue a bag of chips and a bottle of orange juice, then settled down next to her. 0

Lin Yue took a sip of juice, ripped open the chip bag, popped one into her mouth, and said, "Now spill it!" 0

Sang Yu sat cross-legged on the sofa, resting her elbows on her knees and propping her chin on her hands. With the remote in one hand and her eyes glued to the TV, she spoke slowly, "Well, there’s really not much to say. We just met once. A couple of days ago, two students in my class got into a fight. I called their parents, and it turned out one of them is his nephew. He went because the kid's parents were out of the country." 0

"Uh-huh," Lin Yue nodded in agreement, munching on chips while eagerly waiting for more details. But then she noticed Sang Yu staring at the TV again without continuing. 0

"And then?" Lin Yue asked. 0

"And then?" Sang Yu echoed. 0

"Yes!" 0

Sang Yu thought for a moment. "I guess we just resolved the issue with the kids fighting." 0

"Then what happened?" Lin Yue pressed further. 0

"We just sorted things out with the kids," Sang Yu said nonchalantly, still focused on the TV. There was no hint of emotion as she recalled seeing Lu Jing looking nervous—something she hadn’t expected. 0

"And then?" Lin Yue asked again. 0

"And then we said goodbye and went our separate ways." After saying that, Sang Yu paused to think again. "Yeah, that’s exactly how it went." 0

"Is it over?" Lin Yue questioned, doubting whether she was experiencing auditory hallucinations. 0

"Yes, it's over." 0

"I just heard the beginning, and you're telling me it's already finished?" Lin Yue was stunned. 0

"Are you joking with me, Sang Xiaoyu?" She bit into the potato chips with a crunch, as if what she was chewing on was not chips but Sang Xiaoyu herself. 0

She had already prepared snacks and settled down cross-legged, ready to witness the thrilling encounter between her ex-boyfriend and his ex-girlfriend. 0

Is that really it? 0
