She couldn't help but look up at the person in front of her, and when she saw it was Lu Jingzhi, Sang Yu's pupils dilated in shock. He hadn't left yet?!
Lu Jingzhi raised an eyebrow, watching Sang Yu's astonished expression, and for some reason, he felt a surge of joy. What a coincidence! Lin Yue also spotted Lu Jingzhi and thought to herself how strange it was that these two had crossed paths again, even after traveling such a distance. Heh, it really is quite a coincidence! Lin Yue's smile was more sarcastic than genuine as she glanced at her friend, who was still staring blankly at Lu Jingzhi. She discreetly nudged Sang Yu, urging her to snap out of it.
Sang Yu finally came to her senses after feeling Lin Yue's nudge. She recalled how she had been staring at Lu Jingzhi just moments ago and felt an overwhelming urge to find a hole to hide in. How embarrassing! So embarrassing!
Lu Jingzhi looked at Sang Yu's adorable demeanor and couldn't help but chuckle softly, which only made Sang Yu's already flushed face turn an even deeper shade of red. She thought to herself that her face must be as red as a monkey's backside right now. With that thought, Sang Yu couldn't resist shooting a glare at Lu Jingzhi, but when she saw him looking back at her, she shyly lowered her head again.
Lin Yue watched the two of them and couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. This was it; Sang Xiaoyu was falling deeper into the pit again. No! She had never really climbed out of it in the first place. Lin Yue shot an annoyed glare at Lu Jingzhi; it was all his fault. They hadn't even had breakfast yet, so she decided to drag Sang Yu away from him and into the restaurant.
Lu Jingzhi quietly watched their retreating figures. He had just heard them mention going to the beach. After pondering for a moment, he turned to his assistant, Xiao Chen, and instructed him to follow up after the meeting concluded.
Xiao Chen was taken aback. Did he hear that correctly? Did the boss really think so highly of him? But he didn't dare voice his doubts and simply replied, "Sure!" without any hesitation.
Satisfied with Xiao Chen's response, Lu Jingzhi decided to give him a raise later since his workload would increase significantly from now on. Little did Xiao Chen know that his boss had already planned out all his future tasks.
By the time Lu Jingzhi arrived at the beach, two hours had passed. He breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing the two women having fun; thankfully, they hadn't left yet. However, when he noticed what Sang Yu was wearing, his expression darkened instantly. He glanced around and saw several men eyeing her with hungry gazes; men understood men well enough—their eyes were filled with desire.
Indeed, Sang Yu had ultimately succumbed to Lin Yue's insistence and put on the bikini Lin Yue had given her—a scanty piece of fabric that left little to the imagination. The only sign of resistance was the sun protection shirt she wore over it; though wearing it felt almost pointless, it provided her with some comfort. Lin Yue understood her friend's personality and didn't push her further.
However, now Sang Yu's sun protection shirt was soaked through with seawater, making the bikini underneath clearly visible—a tantalizing glimpse of skin that hinted at temptation. Her damp hair clung to her cheeks, creating quite a visual impact while she remained blissfully unaware as she played in the water.
The men around couldn't help but swallow hard; several had already approached her throughout the morning but were swiftly dismissed by Sang Yu. Lu Jingzhi's expression darkened as he strode toward Sang Yu, completely ignoring the shrieks directed at him from other women.
Upon hearing the screams behind her, Sang Yu turned around and froze when she recognized who was approaching—her pupils constricted in shock as her mouth fell slightly open. Running into Lu Jingzhi here left her utterly astonished. He was wearing nothing but loose swim trunks that showcased his strong chest and well-defined abs—his broad shoulders tapering down to a narrow waist made him look like pure testosterone personified; some women were already drooling over him.
Sang Yu unconsciously swallowed hard; all she could see now was this one man before her while everything else faded into silence.
