Lin Yue looked at Sang Yu's expression and immediately knew that her friend was smitten. When Sang Yu was happy, her eyes would light up, crinkling like a mischievous little fox.
Then, without Lin Yue noticing, Sang Yu downed her drink in just a few gulps.
"Delicious! Bring me another!"
Lin Yue stared wide-eyed at the empty glass. Was Sang Sang treating this drink like it was soda? Before she could warn her that while the drink was tasty, it packed quite a punch, Lin Yue slapped her forehead in frustration. Well, it didn't matter; she would just carry her home later if needed.
"Sang Sang, come on, let's dance!"
Sang Yu shook her head. "But I don't know how to dance."
"Oh come on! Just sway around a bit!" Lin Yue pulled Sang Yu into the dance floor. Just then, the bartender finished mixing another drink.
Sang Yu gulped it down in three swigs. "So good! Just what I needed!"
Lin Yue barely had time to stop her. Oh no! One drink could be salvaged, but two? She swallowed hard and stayed silent.
"Let’s go!" Sang Yu looked at her friend, who seemed dazed. Hadn't she just encouraged her to dance? Why was she standing there like a statue now?
"Sang Sang, maybe we should head back," Lin Yue suggested nervously, fearing she wouldn't be able to carry her friend later.
"Head back? But we're dancing! Look over there, there's a handsome guy!" Sang Yu exclaimed as she made her way back to the dance floor.
"Oh no! She's definitely drunk now."
As the music played, Sang Yu began to sway her body. At first, she moved awkwardly, but soon she found her rhythm and danced more smoothly.
Lin Yue watched in astonishment! She never imagined her friend had such potential as a bar dancer; just look at those alluring moves that captivated the men around them.
Seeing some unscrupulous men inching closer to Sang Yu, Lin Yue rushed over to separate them. If those guys tried anything funny, she had no doubt that once Sang Yu sobered up tomorrow, she would be furious with Lin Yue for letting it happen.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing? Back off! Can’t you see there’s someone here?"
"Whoa! Another beauty! You can play with me too," one man leered at Lin Yue, his eyes filled with unwelcome interest.
"Play my foot! Get lost!"
"Hey! What’s with the attitude? If you’re so innocent, what are you doing in a bar? Can’t you see your friend dancing with another guy?" The man sneered as he stepped forward.
Lin Yue turned around and gasped in shock. "Oh my goodness!" There was Sang Yu, dancing closely with another man in an intimate embrace.
She swatted away the man's outstretched hand and quickly pulled Sang Yu over to her. She vowed to never bring Sang Sang to a bar again; it was just too frightening!
Lu Jing sat in a dimly lit corner with a few friends, one hand holding a glass of alcohol while the other rested on the back of the sofa. He was turned slightly to the side, his almond-shaped eyes narrowed as he watched the dance floor in the distance.
He didn't want to be here tonight. The company had a major project going on, and he had been particularly busy, having pulled several all-nighters recently.
