"What do you mean?" Sang Yu asked urgently, fearing she might embarrass herself in front of Lu Jing.
"And you forcibly kissed me."
Sang Yu: !!!!
Heavens, strike me down with lightning!
"Me?" Sang Yu pointed at herself. "Kiss you forcibly?" She then pointed at Lu Jing. Could she really do that?
Ha, how could that be? How could I ever do something like that? Impossible. Sang Yu felt a twinge of uncertainty; after all, deep down, she did have some inappropriate thoughts about Lu Jing.
But did she have the guts to do that? It wasn't that she looked down on herself; it was just that she had a clear understanding of who she was.
Was it the alcohol that gave her courage??? The thought made Sang Yu feel weak again.
How could it be impossible? You have no idea how domineering you were last night! Lu Jing, that dog, was so calm and collected while lying through his teeth.
A vivid image flashed in Sang Yu's mind: herself holding a small whip while Lu Jing begged for mercy.
Upon seeing the teasing smile on Lu Jing's lips, Sang Yu felt deceived. "You tricked me?"
"Why would I trick you? Seriously, you were so domineering last night that I didn't dare to resist," Lu Jing said, crossing his arms and leaning casually against the wall. He was betting that Sang Yu wouldn't remember what happened the night before.
Sang Yu replied, "If I could remember, would you even have the chance to fool me?"
She tried hard to recall the events of last night, and a fleeting image of them kissing crossed her mind.
Sang Yu was instantly shocked. Did they really kiss?
No, no, no! Impossible! How could they have kissed? Was it really her who kissed Lu Jing?
Now Sang Yu was starting to believe what Lu Jing said; after all, she never believed he would kiss her—he didn't like her.
She glanced at Lu Jing with a hint of guilt. Ah! Oh heavens, please let me faint! This damned embarrassment—are you playing with me?
Though deep down she still couldn't let go of Lu Jing, she truly had no fantasies about him anymore. They had long returned to their own paths; why did this happen? Why?
Lu Jing watched Sang Yu's ever-changing expression and wondered why he hadn't noticed before how interesting she was. But it wasn't too late; eventually, she would be his.
"Remember it and come out for dinner," Lu Jing said as he turned to leave.
Watching Lu Jing's disappearing figure, Sang Yu remained dazed. How did things get to this point? Had they really become familiar strangers?
In high school, they had never kissed, not even held hands. Now, was this some kind of compensation from the heavens? She really didn't need it, ah!!!
Forget it, she thought, just treat it like a dog had nibbled at her—no, she had nibbled at the dog. Either way, she had gained something.
Sang Yu got out of bed and slung her bag over her shoulder. Spotting her jacket on the bed, she picked it up and put it on. She had no intention of staying for breakfast; she wanted to find Lin Yue and ask what had happened yesterday. How did she end up in Lu Jing's house?
Quietly slipping out of the bedroom, Sang Yu glanced around and saw Lu Jing with his back to her in the kitchen.
Like a thief, she tiptoed to the door, quietly put on her shoes, quickly opened the door, and then closed it behind her in one smooth motion.
The sound of the door caught Lu Jing's attention. He stepped out of the kitchen and stared at the door for a moment before turning back to check the bedroom.
Sure enough, she was gone.
What a piece of work!
Lu Jing bit down on his back teeth, amused by how this woman could make him laugh with frustration. Fine, she could run away for now, but not forever—he had all the time in the world.
He glanced at the breakfast spread on the table. Unsure of what Sang Yu liked to eat, he had even gone outside to buy a few different options.
It seemed someone was out of luck today; well, he would just eat it himself.
Lu Jing picked up a steamed dumpling and bit into it fiercely, as if he held an ancient grudge against the dumpling itself.
