Sang Yu rested her head on her hands, lost in thought. Lu Jingzhi had actually lied to her?! Why would he deceive her? If he was lying about this, what about their kiss? Was that also a lie? 0

Had they not kissed? No! They must have shared a kiss; she had a faint memory of it. Did Lu Jingzhi kiss her? No! No! No! That was impossible! She would never believe that, even if it killed her. Could it be that she had forced a kiss on Lu Jingzhi? 0

Oh no! This was terrible! How could she have done something like that? It was so embarrassing, especially in front of her ex-boyfriend. 0

Lin Yue watched her friend in silence, covering her face and moaning on the sofa, sensing that something was off. "Sang Sang, what's wrong?" Lin Yue asked, concern etched on her face. 0

"Nothing much, just a bit of a headache," Sang Yu replied, her gaze vacant and fixed ahead. 0

"Really?" Lin Yue felt that something had happened between them that she didn't know about. 0

"Really!" Sang Yu nodded expressionlessly. 0

"Are you sure you two didn't do anything... inappropriate?" Lin Yue still found it hard to believe. 0

"Huh?" Sang Yu turned to Lin Yue, confused by the term "inappropriate." 0

"Yeah, you know..." Lin Yue said with a sly grin. 0

Perhaps Lin Yue's hint was too obvious; Sang Yu suddenly understood what Lin Yue meant. How could that be?! Her voice rose in pitch. There was no way they could have done something like that. Sure, the kiss was an accident, but kissing shouldn't fall into the category of inappropriate things, right? 0

Lin Yue jumped at Sang Yu's sudden outburst and took a moment to calm her startled heart. "Why are you so worked up?" she asked, staring at her friend. 0

"Because what you said is just too outrageous!" Sang Yu exclaimed. "It's simply ridiculous—it's as if you're saying the sun will rise in the west before that happens!" She firmly believed there was no way they would end up in bed together unless the impossible happened. 0

"How could I possibly do those things with him? Besides, he doesn't even like me," Sang Yu said, her eyes darting around nervously, unable to meet Lin Yue's gaze. 0

Lin Yue squinted at her friend’s guilty expression. It seemed that something had indeed happened between them. Leaning closer to Sang Yu, she teased, "Sang Xiaoyu! Do you know what you look like right now?" 0

"Huh? What do I look like?" Sang Yu looked down at the bathrobe she was wearing after just taking a shower; surely she didn’t look too disheveled? 0

"You look guilty!" Lin Yue declared. They had been friends for ten years; whenever this girl lied, she fidgeted with her hands—a habit she probably didn't even realize she had. 0

"I'm not guilty! Even though I was completely drunk yesterday, I still know whether or not anything happened. My body feels fine," Sang Yu insisted. "We probably just shared a kiss and nothing more." Yet deep down, she couldn't help but feel a little guilty. 0

However, it's best not to mention this to Yue Yue; otherwise, she would keep asking questions endlessly. Lin Yue looked at her friend, sensing her reluctance to speak, and decided not to press further. She figured that when her friend was ready to share, she would do so in her own time. 0
