After Qi Yue left, Sang Yu glared at Lu Jingzhi, completely baffled by his intentions. Why did he have to come over and disturb her when he was already having dinner with another woman? 0

Sang Yu felt a surge of anger, unsure whether it stemmed from Lu Jingzhi ruining her blind date or from the sight of him with another woman. Either way, she was clearly upset, and her tone reflected that. "Lu Jingzhi! What do you want?!" 0

Seeing Sang Yu's flustered expression, Lu Jingzhi's face darkened. Was she blaming him for ruining her date? The thought only deepened his irritation, and his expression turned ominous. 0

Watching Sang Yu laugh and chat with someone else made him feel jealous—yes, jealous! Intensely so! Especially since the man she was on a date with was Qi Yue, an exceptionally capable man in every regard. The thought that she might be interested in him made Lu Jingzhi's mood even darker. 0

Sang Yu was infuriated by his demeanor. What right did he have to be angry? Shouldn't she be the one upset? He was the one who disrupted her date, not the other way around. Why was he giving her such an attitude? 0

Not wanting to linger any longer, Sang Yu grabbed her bag and prepared to leave. 0

But Lu Jingzhi wasn't about to let her go that easily. As she brushed past him, he swiftly grabbed her wrist. 0

He had planned to find Sang Yu once he finished his work, never expecting she would show up on a date! Well! Very well! Anger surged through him as he unconsciously tightened his grip on her wrist. 0

"Let go! You're hurting me!" Sang Yu protested, trying to pull away from Lu Jingzhi's grasp. However, his strength was overwhelming; she couldn't budge an inch and could only stand there glaring at him. 0

Hearing her cry out in pain, Lu Jingzhi slightly loosened his grip and leaned closer to whisper in her ear, "Sang Yu, after kissing me, you think you can just run away? Who gave you the audacity? Hmm?" 0

Sang Yu froze in shock at his words, incredulous as she turned to look at him. What did he mean? Was he really going to hold her accountable for that kiss? 0

Looking into Lu Jingzhi's deep, affectionate eyes made her heart skip a beat. Did it seem like he might actually have feelings for her? No, that couldn't be true! There was no way Lu Jingzhi could like her; that was impossible. Shaking herself out of that thought, Sang Yu feigned calmness and replied, "It was just a kiss; we're all adults here. Surely Mr. Lu wouldn't make a big deal out of something so trivial?" 0

At her words, Lu Jingzhi narrowed his eyes at her. Sang Yu tightened her grip on her bag nervously; why did she feel so weak in the knees under his gaze? 0

No! She couldn't lose face—especially not in front of Lu Jingzhi. She forced herself to stand tall. 0

After what felt like an eternity, Lu Jingzhi finally shifted his gaze away from Sang Yu's face and glanced at his watch. He had other matters to attend to and couldn't afford to waste more time with her. 0

"Go home obediently. I'll come find you tonight." With that, he gave Sang Yu a thoughtful look before turning and heading back to the private room. 0

Once he left, Sang Yu let out a sigh of relief but quickly fell into self-reproach. How pathetic! After all these years, she hadn't grown at all. 0

All this time living in fear of him stemmed from her feelings for him while knowing he didn't reciprocate. 0
