Sang Yu couldn't help but recall the passionate kiss from the night before as she pressed her lips together, feeling a bit uneasy as she walked toward him. Since childhood, she had always been afraid of the cold, wrapping herself up like a bear every winter. Today was no exception; although the temperature was bearable, she had still put on her coat when leaving the office, fearing she might get cold. After all, the memory of getting a shot for her last cold was still fresh in her mind. 0

Was beauty important? Well, it seemed to be quite significant, but she really couldn't bring herself to choose beauty over warmth. 0

As Sang Yu approached him slowly, like a little sloth, Lu Jingzhi found her adorably cute. Just as she was about to walk past him, he extinguished his cigarette, worried that the smoke might bother her. However, Sang Yu stopped more than two meters away from him. 0

Lu Jingzhi raised an eyebrow. Why was she keeping such a distance? Did she think he would bite her? 0

"What are you doing here?" Sang Yu asked awkwardly, glancing at Lu Jingzhi before lowering her gaze again. 0

"Of course I came to find you." Lu Jingzhi stepped forward two paces to stand in front of her and reached out to lift her chin. "When are you going to stop this habit of always looking down?" 0

Sang Yu swatted his hand away and glared at him. Why did he always have to touch her? Did she look that easy to bully? 0

Unable to resist, Lu Jingzhi ruffled her hair affectionately. He had refrained from seeking her out yesterday because he was worried it would make her uncomfortable, but seeing her now seemed fine. Yet, for some reason, he felt slightly annoyed by how nonchalant she appeared. 0

Sang Yu thought to herself: "Ha! That was my first kiss while sober (the last time when I was drunk doesn’t count; I didn’t know anything). You kissed me so intensely—how could I act like nothing happened?" 0

She just didn’t want him to see through her feelings. 0

Caught off guard by his words, Sang Yu realized he had come specifically for her. She wanted to ask what he wanted from her. 0

"What do you want from me?" Her tone hinted at barely restrained irritation. 0

"To take you out for dinner." Lu Jingzhi observed the flustered expression on Sang Yu's face and felt a bit more cheerful; it was quite entertaining! 0

"Thanks a lot!" Sang Yu replied sarcastically. Did they have such a good relationship that they could just go out for dinner together? 0

"Weren't we just out for dinner last time?" Lu Jingzhi countered. 0

"Last time you practically begged me to stay for dinner!" 0

"No time!" She definitely didn’t want to go out with him again. 0

"You treated me last time; this time it's my turn." 0

"No! That meal can be considered as feeding the dog," she said. With that, Sang Yu turned to leave. 0

Lu Jingzhi stepped forward and grasped Sang Yu's wrist. The chill of her skin surprised him; despite the thick clothing she wore, her hand felt so cold. 0

Sang Yu glanced around nervously, relieved to find no one else present. Unbeknownst to her, Guo Daye was peeking through the window, secretly observing the scene. One should never underestimate Guo Daye's curiosity! 0

Guo Daye thought: A little gossip makes boring life more interesting! 0

Perhaps it was due to the intensity of a man's warmth, but Lu Jingzhi's palm was burning hot, causing Sang Yu's heart to race in response. She struggled to free her hand from his grip. 0

"What are you doing? Let go!" she exclaimed, irritated by his persistent hold on her wrist. 0
