"Bao'er? Bao'er? Open the door!"
Sang Yu was jolted awake by the sound of knocking. Blinking her eyes in confusion, it took her a moment to remember that she wasn't at home but at a resort. She picked up her phone and glanced at the time, realizing she had unknowingly slept for over half an hour.
"Sang Yu? Sang Yu?" Lu Jingzhi grew anxious as Sang Yu didn't come to open the door. Just as he was about to call the front desk, the door clicked open.
Seeing that Sang Yu was fine, he let out a sigh of relief. "You scared me! I thought something happened when you didn't open the door. I almost called the front desk to have them come unlock it."
"I'm sorry! I fell asleep and didn't hear you," Sang Yu apologized, feeling a bit embarrassed. She hadn’t slept well the night before, and this nap had been deeper than she expected.
"Are you okay? Did you rest well? Do you want to sleep a bit longer?" he asked, still concerned.
"No, I'm fine. Just a bit tired from the ride. I feel better after that short nap. Where are we headed?" She wouldn't tell him that she had been restless last night because she was anxious about him taking her out today.
"Are you really okay?" Lu Jingzhi asked again, wanting to be sure.
"Really, I'm fine! So where are we going?"
"Alright, but if you feel tired, just let me know," he said, still not entirely reassured.
"Okay, I got it! Stop nagging!" Sang Yu closed the door and playfully pushed Lu Jingzhi forward. She had never noticed before how chatty he could be.
"Hey! I'm just being considerate! Here I am worrying about you, and you're complaining about me being chatty," Lu Jingzhi chuckled at his girlfriend's reaction. How could she forget who he was doing this for?
"My bad! I was wrong; you're not chatty at all." It was better to admit her mistake quickly; otherwise, he might go on and on. "So where are we going?"
"Let's find them first. After dinner tonight, we can soak in the hot springs; it'll be perfect for relaxing. We can go straight to bed after that."
"Sounds good."
"Oh, by the way, can I switch rooms?"
"Switch rooms? Is there something wrong with your room?"
"No, no! It's just that the room is too nice; it feels a bit wasteful for me to stay alone." How could she not be satisfied with such a great room? It was just too good.
"What if we share a room tonight? Wouldn't that make it feel less wasteful?"
Sang Yu paused in her steps. "Forget I said anything."
The resort had many entertainment facilities available at various price points; after all, people from all walks of life came here to enjoy themselves.
Lu Jingzhi brought Sang Yu to the Billiards Hall, where many people were already playing. He led Sang Yu directly to the third floor. The third floor was not open to the public; it was a private space for Xie Shixuan, typically used for entertaining friends and business partners.
