Before Xie Shixuan could finish speaking, there was a loud click as the person on the other end hung up the phone. "Hey! My temper!" he exclaimed, but then decided to let it go. Looking at everyone staring at him, he muttered in frustration.
He couldn't understand why he, being older than Lu Jingzhi by quite a bit, always felt overshadowed by him. It was something that had puzzled him since childhood.
After hanging up, Lu Jingzhi said, "They're soaking in the hot springs. We should head over now; it's still early. We can eat after we finish."
Sang Yu nodded in agreement, having no objections. It was indeed a bit early for dinner, and she wasn't hungry at all.
"I'll change into some clothes first; you put on your swimsuit," Lu Jingzhi said, looking at Sang Yu's obedient demeanor. He couldn't help but ruffle her hair—how could his girlfriend be so adorable?
Just as Lu Jingzhi reached the door, he turned back. Sang Yu watched his movements with confusion. Wasn't he going to change? Why was he back? Did he forget something?
"Where's your swimsuit? Show it to me," Lu Jingzhi asked her. He suddenly recalled the bikini Sang Yu wore at the beach and felt a twinge of concern. He was worried she might wear that same bikini today. After all, there would be other men around; his woman couldn't wear something so revealing for others to see—even if they were just friends. Only he should be allowed to see her like that.
"It's in my bag over there," Sang Yu pointed to her luggage on the sofa, not quite understanding why Lu Jingzhi wanted to see her swimsuit all of a sudden.
Instead of answering her question, Lu Jingzhi opened her bag without hesitation.
Sang Yu suddenly remembered that her underwear was still inside and wanted to stop him, but Lu Jingzhi was too quick. Before she could say anything, he had already unzipped the bag. Well, they were a couple after all; if he saw it, he saw it—she thought resignedly.
Lu Jingzhi found the swimsuit and discovered it was a brown one-piece with straps and a little skirt—a much more modest style than the bikini. He nodded in satisfaction.
"This swimsuit is nice; you should wear this when we go out from now on. It's much better than that bikini you wore last time in Haicheng."
At that moment, Sang Yu realized that he was worried about her wearing a bikini to the hot springs.
She really wanted to explain that it was Lin Yue who forced her to wear the bikini last time, and it belonged to Lin Yue as well. She didn't like showing herself off like that; even though she wore a bikini last time, she had also put on a cover-up over it.
"Wearing that cover-up is worse than not wearing anything at all; when it gets wet, it's even more tempting," Lu Jingzhi remarked.
"Are you done looking?" Sang Yu said irritably.
Lu Jingzhi nodded. "Yeah, I'm done."
"So, what do you think? Are you satisfied with this one?"
"Very satisfied," he replied enthusiastically.
"Then why aren't we leaving yet? Do you need me to escort you?"
"No need for our precious one to bother," Lu Jingzhi said playfully as he stepped away.
"Childish!" Sang Yu laughed after he left. She really thought Lu Jingzhi could be as immature as a child sometimes.
