Sang Yu, dressed in a down jacket and holding a towel while wearing slippers, hurriedly followed Lu Jing out of the house. The moment they stepped outside, a cold wind rushed in, prompting them to jog quickly to the hot spring.
Xie Shixuan had reserved a larger hot spring pool for them. This hot spring was a mixed bath, with no separation between men and women. By the time they arrived, the others were already there, with three men and two women occupying opposite sides of the pool.
Sang Yu took off her down jacket and placed it along with her towel on a nearby chair. With Lu Jing's assistance, she slowly walked into the warm water. As the soothing warmth enveloped her body, Sang Yu let out a contented sigh.
"Sister Sangyu, come here! Hurry!" An Ran called out to Sang Yu.
After ensuring Sang Yu was settled, Lu Jing instinctively moved to join the men.
"I say, Lao Lu, we haven't seen you all afternoon. What have you been up to?" Xie Shixuan teased Lu Jing.
"What else could he be doing? He’s probably enjoying himself in the land of tenderness and doesn’t want to come out!" An Yu chimed in mischievously from the side.
"What's wrong? Are you jealous? Well, someone here is still single and can only envy," Lu Jing retorted playfully.
"Hmph! What’s there to be proud of? If I wanted to, I could just wave my hand and have a line of women waiting for me. Just wait; I'll find myself a girlfriend soon enough. The Young Master An doesn't lack for women; those chasing after him are lined up like a street!" An Yu boasted confidently.
The others exchanged knowing smiles at An Yu's bravado but remained silent. Only Lu Jing couldn't resist teasing him further. "Well then, let's see when you actually find one."
"Hmph! Lao Lu, just wait and see," An Yu replied, unaware that a big surprise awaited him later.
"Hey, Sang Sang," Chen Ruoying asked, "have you ever been to a hot spring before?"
Sang Yu shook her head. "No, I haven't."
"Well, Lu Jing should take you here more often. It's good for us women to soak in hot springs; it’s great for beauty and skincare," Chen Ruoying suggested.
Sang Yu smiled and nodded; soaking in the warm water was indeed comfortable.
"But Sang Sang," Chen Ruoying continued, "your skin is really nice! How do you take care of it? It looks so youthful, and it seems like you’re not wearing any makeup at all—completely bare-faced! It’s truly enviable!"
"Yeah! I noticed that too! Sister Sangyu doesn’t have a single pimple on her face, and her pores are practically invisible!" An Ran added as both women began to examine Sang Yu's skin closely.
Earlier during lunch break, Sang Yu had removed her makeup after hearing from Lu Jing that they would be going to the hot spring. So she hadn’t applied any makeup afterward—just some moisturizer.
"Uh, it's nothing special. I just use face masks occasionally," she replied modestly. In reality, she didn’t do much skincare; she only used face masks now and then and rarely wore makeup.
"What? You’ve never been to a beauty salon? And your skin is still this good? How can we who frequent beauty salons compete with that? You’re truly enviable!" An Ran exclaimed enviously. Although her skin was also quite good, it paled in comparison to Sang Yu's; she belonged to the type who rarely broke out but still felt inferior next to Sang Yu's flawless complexion.
Many people found their facial skin better than their body skin; however, An Ran was an exception—her body skin was exceptionally soft while her face had some roughness.
In truth, her situation wasn’t as bad as she perceived. Her facial skin was still decent; it just fell slightly short compared to the rest of her body.
"An Ran, your skin looks great too," Sang Yu said sincerely, glancing at Chen Ruoying. "Sister Ruoying's skin is also beautiful."
