Lu Jingzhi walked into the underground parking lot with a stern expression, ignoring the ringing of his phone. He was extremely frustrated—very frustrated indeed! 0

He sped all the way to Sang Yu's school, and as soon as the call connected, he said, "Come down!" before hanging up without any further words. 0

Sang Yu was about to say something when the call was abruptly disconnected. She felt an unsettling premonition. 0

"Yu Guo, can you keep an eye on our class this afternoon?" Sang Yu asked her classmate Yu Guoguo, who was sitting across from her. 0

"Sure!" Yu Guoguo readily agreed. "What’s up? Got something to do this afternoon?" 0

"Yeah," Sang Yu nodded. "Lu Jingzhi needs me for something." 0

"Oh," Yu Guoguo teased, "so it's your boyfriend calling! Don't worry, I'll definitely keep an eye on your class." She patted her own chest confidently. 0

"Thank you, Yu Guoguo!" Sang Yu replied with a roll of her eyes. 0

"Hehe, no problem!" Yu Guoguo grinned. 0

Listening to their conversation, Zheng Yifan felt a growing frustration in her heart. She wanted to steal someone else's boyfriend, but she couldn't even see him. How could she possibly make a move? She couldn't just approach Sang Yu and say, "Hey, can I have your boyfriend's number? I want to chat with him." That would be blatantly trying to interfere. 0

Watching Sang Yu walk away, Zheng Yifan felt increasingly gloomy. Why was it so hard to find a quality guy? 0

As Sang Yu exited the school, Lu Jingzhi's anger had not subsided; in fact, it seemed to be intensifying. Did he really want to keep his existence hidden from his family? Or was it that she never intended to continue their relationship? The thought gnawed at him, and no matter how hard he tried to suppress it, he couldn't shake it off. 0

When Sang Yu saw Lu Jingzhi's car parked by the roadside, she noticed he hadn't stepped out. She hesitated for a moment before nervously walking towards the vehicle. 0

She opened the passenger door and sat down. Lu Jingzhi kept his gaze fixed ahead, and although she couldn't see his expression, she could sense that he was not in a good mood. 0

Without saying a word, Lu Jingzhi started the car. Seeing his silence made Sang Yu feel suddenly aggrieved; she wanted to speak but couldn’t find the words. Instead, she sat quietly and stared out the window. 0

Neither of them broke the silence in the car; it was quiet except for the sound of the engine. 0

However, as Lu Jingzhi accelerated faster and faster, Sang Yu began to feel scared. She gripped her seatbelt tightly and said with a trembling voice, "Lu Jingzhi, please don’t drive so fast; I’m scared." 0

Lu Jingzhi pressed his lips together and glanced at Sang Yu's pale face. Realizing he had frightened her, he felt a pang of regret and eased off on the accelerator. He didn’t want to lose his temper with her, but this time she had genuinely upset him. 0

They hadn’t seen each other for a week already. With her winter break starting soon and him knowing they might not meet for a long time afterward, it frustrated him that she hadn’t made any effort to find time for them to meet. Their video calls were cut short because of her sister’s presence; with finals approaching, she was busy at school during the day and couldn’t talk much at night either. Now she told him that she would go straight home for break and might not see him until after the new year—how could he possibly tolerate that? 0
