Lu Jing followed Sang Yu into her room. The space was small, about a dozen square meters, furnished simply with a 1.5-meter bed, a wardrobe, and a desk. It was clean and cozy. 0

"Baby, stay with me for a while," Lu Jing said as he sat on the bed and pulled Sang Yu onto his lap, resting his head against her chest. Although he appeared sober, he was nearly tipsy; after all, he had been drinking with two people while being the younger one. It was impressive enough that he hadn’t ended up under the table. Thankfully, Sang's grandpa had given up drinking long ago; otherwise, Lu Jing would have surely been overwhelmed today. 0

"No way, Grandpa and Grandma are here. It wouldn’t be good if they saw us," Sang Yu replied. 0

"It’s noon, not evening. Besides, I can’t sleep without holding you." His family’s Da Bao was particularly susceptible to this tactic; as long as he acted pitiful, she would surely relent. 0

Sang Yu thought to herself, This man is quite cunning! 0

"Alright then," she agreed verbally but planned to slip away once Lu Jing fell asleep. 0

Lu Jing teased, "Even my baby can lie now!" 0

After Sang Yu and Lu Jing left, Sang's grandpa couldn’t help but complain to Sang's grandmother. "Look at how old the eldest and second are; they still can’t drink better than that little lightweight! And it was two against one! How embarrassing! I’m blushing for them!" 0

"Uh, that probably has to do with talent rather than age. He knocked down several people the first time he drank," Lu Jing replied. 0

"Come on! You act like you have such a high tolerance. Do any of your three sons drink well? If you’re a bad father, don’t blame your sons for it! You don’t even realize how ridiculous you are!" Sang's grandmother retorted sharply at Sang's grandpa, making him flush with embarrassment. 0

Sang's grandpa huffed defensively, "People say the student surpasses the master; they’re not even as good as I am!" 0

"That just proves you’re a bad father; you can’t blame anyone else for that," Sang's grandmother shot back, stylishly using slang. 0

Sang's grandpa was left speechless by Sang's grandmother ’s rebuttal and could only mutter, "Hmph! A good man doesn’t argue with a woman!" 0

"You better be able to argue back!" she teased him. "You think I can’t handle you?" 0

Sang's grandpa declared dramatically, "A turtle reciting scriptures can’t hear! Can’t hear! Can’t hear!" before quickly retreating. 0

Sang Yu intended to rest for a bit but unexpectedly fell asleep shortly after lying down. She didn’t wake until five in the afternoon. Glancing at Lu Jing still sleeping beside her made her sit up abruptly. "Oh no, how did I fall asleep too? I wonder if Grandma noticed?" 0

She quietly got up and opened the door to check outside; seeing no one gave her some relief as she stepped out of the room. 0

"Da Bao!" 0

Sang's grandmother suddenly spoke up, startling Sang Yu so much that her heart raced. She patted her chest to calm herself and turned around nervously. "Grandma," she called out softly. She hoped her grandmother didn’t know she had shared a room with Lu Jing. 0

"Did you wake up?" Sang's grandmother observed her granddaughter's guilty expression but chose not to confront her directly. After waking up and searching for Sang Yu in her room only to find it empty, she figured both she and Xiao Lu were in her own room together. Since they were about to get married anyway, she didn’t want to interfere too much. 0

"How did you sleep?" 0

"Pretty well, Grandma." 0

"That's good enough. What do you want to eat tonight? Grandma will make it for you." 0

"I like everything Grandma makes." Sang Yu coaxed the old lady until she couldn't stop smiling. 0

Dinner was shared among the four of them. Sang's grandmother and Sang Yu cooked together, while Lu Jing helped out nearby. Perhaps it was due to his usual assistance to Sang Yu, but he looked quite competent in the kitchen. Seeing Sang's grandmother nod in approval, it was clear he had shed any airs of being a young master. 0

Sister Sang and Sang San Shen arrived after dinner, while Uncle Sang and Sang San Shu were still asleep, having missed dinner entirely. 0

"How embarrassing!" Sang's grandpa exclaimed. 0

Sang Yu and Lu Jing planned to leave after lunch the next day. Although the elderly were reluctant to see them go, they understood that the kids had to work on Monday and couldn't be delayed. 0
