Lu Jing promised the two elders that they would visit often in the future, and the elderly couple smiled in response, their expressions filled with joy.
"We'll come back often," Lu Jing said to Sang Yu as he drove.
"Are you serious?" Sang Yu thought Lu Jing was just saying that to please the elders.
"Babe, why would you think that? Of course I'm serious," Lu Jing replied, feeling a bit wronged.
"I'm sorry, it's my fault." Sang Yu immediately admitted her mistake. She had learned from experience that acknowledging one's errors promptly was important, not giving anyone a chance to elaborate.
Lu Jing's words were cut off by Sang Yu's quick apology. His darling was becoming increasingly clever, recognizing her mistakes faster than ever.
"We should find some time in the next few days to try on wedding dresses."
"Have they finished making the wedding dress?"
"Yes, it’s done. They called me this morning."
"Can we go in the evening? If we can only go during the day, we'll have to wait until next weekend."
"That works."
"Then let's go tomorrow evening," Sang Yu said eagerly.
"Oh, then let’s go tomorrow."
"Sang Sang, what are you up to?"
"I'm at work. What's wrong? Are you feeling down?" Sang Yu noticed Lin Yue's tone sounded a bit low.
"I'm coming to see you tonight; let's go out for drinks. I want to drink until I forget everything and throw all my troubles away."
"Going out for drinks?" Sang Yu felt a shiver run down her spine at the thought. She had only drunk twice before, both times with Lu Jing, and she still had some trauma from those experiences.
"What’s wrong? Did you have a fight with your Doctor Sheng?"
"Woohoo, that jerk Sheng Yan'an has a fiancée! He played me for a fool!" Lin Yue began to cry on the other end of the line.
"Okay, okay, don’t cry. Are you coming over to my place tonight? What do you want to eat? I'll make it for you." Sang Yu had never seen Lin Yue so heartbroken before; even when she hurt her hand last time, she hadn’t cried like this, which showed how deeply upset she truly was.
Lin Yue sniffled and replied through her tears.
After hanging up the phone, Sang Yu called Lu Jing.
"Hey," Lu Jing's voice came through the phone.
"Lin Yue is coming to see me tonight and will be staying over. You can find somewhere else to sleep," Sang Yu quickly said before hanging up.
Sang Yu let out a sigh of relief. Luckily, she acted fast and hung up before Lu Jing could say anything. She knew him well enough by now; if she had given him the chance, he would have negotiated terms and wouldn’t stop until she agreed.
Lu Jing stared at his phone after the call ended. This woman was getting bolder by the day.
Sang Yu smirked, "Hmph, you spoiled her!"
"I’m left speechless," Lu Jing replied.
